Well, meditation is a tool to clean all the crap (hate, greed, jealousy, anger, ignorance, etc. - ego) from our minds (consciousness) and increase all the good stuff (kindness, compassion, generosity, intelligence, etc.). Meditation is a key tool to achieving this. It's Buddhist psychology (see the Dalai Lama). It doesn't need to be religious; one can take as purely secular.

This dude is accused of a lot of sexual misconduct. Like a lot of religions the power corrupts.

Regardless, his wisdom is perfect. What happens in your bedroom is just that. Legacy happens. Respect your elders. :)

      I hear you.
As a Karma Kagyu long time student, I
agree, all practioners should be treated with respect without any sexual harassment or abuse.
We are in a Buddhist Kali Yuga. Lay practise / practioners
are more important than ever in holding 're Buddha Dharma together as monks are testing positive for drugs, sex abuse...

I've been struggling with Tibetan Buddhism. Well the people practicing it. After 15 years I think it's not for western people. They can't grasp it. Rude fuxks all of them.
