I was watching this episode since I am about to start my painting job. So finally for internal you applied primer plus two coat putty plus two coat emulsion, right ? After two coat putty there is no primer again ?
After two coat putty we didn’t apply primer again!! Please find the video, on what circumstances do we need to apply primer then. In our case, primer + putty + emulsion

Out of the context!! But can you make video on how you are planning to make wooden shutters(doors and windows) now that wooden frames are already fixed. i meant its design, making, readymade ones as an option, customization etc
We have already installed our shutters made with violet wood . I shall try to update some pics in our Instagram soon!! We haven't enquired about ready made ones, as we had already purchased wood for that too!!
@@backtohome Ok I saw in your video that you purchased wood from Vrindavan timbers. But how long did it take to make all the doors and windows shutters after taking seasoned wood. Is it too much time consuming?Is it feasible to employ carpenters at our site on daily wages for this purpose without giving them work contract?
@Neethu Kevin It was already seasoned.. Since, we have entrusted the whole work to a contractor, we don't have any tensions.. Yes, you can give daily contract..I am not sure about feasibility.. We have started our shutter works at the time of plastering.. Time schedule totally depends on designs. These woods are already seasoned.. And also if you want Vrindhavan timbers will season woods as per requirements

Our architect is the contractor and interior designer.. So no worries!! He is very cooperative.

Hii, our painter suggested to have the Asian paints cement based putty 2 coasts + Berger cement primer 1 coat + emulsion for interior. Can you please clarify is there any issue if we apply water proof primer after Putty ? Work is going to start by next week.
The following is just my understanding...water proofing primer needs to be applied directly to plastered surface to get the desired result...Kindly seek advice from experts...I have only theoritical knowledge

Hello there, saw the video, I have plans to paint my building, primarily there is water leaking issue which I am trying to address thru waterproofing on the terrace,my walls are so bad that at some places paint can be peeled off and swollen. Would you suggest to have water prrofing primer + emilsion or any other suggestion?

Paint okke ഉണങ്ങി വരുന്ന മുറയ്ക്ക് adikkindayirunnnu.. ഇടക്ക് workers ഇല്ലാത്തപ്പോള്‍ gap വന്നു എന്നത് ഒഴിച്ചുള്ള ബാക്കി days painting പണി, ഒന്നിനു പുറകെ ഒന്നായി നടന്നു

Waterproofing and breathable properties of newly developed polyurethane (PU) primers were investigated. Waterproofing performances were tested by water impermeability and water absorption. Breathability was tested by water vapor transmission. The results show that PU primer forms a waterproofing coating layer on the mortar surface and exhibits excellent breathable properties. The one-component water emulsifiable PU primer increases the water impermeability pressure of mortar specimens more than 30%, while using two-component PU primer, the increase can reach more than 100%. In addition, the coated mortar with PU primer shows much lower water absorption than bare mortar.

Hi, I plan to go with primer-putty-primer and then pain later on.. I selected berger seal o prime and jk putty, and have already ordered. Now the painter says, that since seal oprime is water proof primer, putty won't adhere to it.. Did u face any such thing? Udaayippu aano ennu oru doubt..

It is true that seal-o-prime is waterproof primer... One can apply cement based putty to it... No issues.... If you apply cement based putty, then you can directly apply emulsion to it.. So, order is primer - putty emulsion... No problem!! I reiterate, this is the case with cement based putty.. Don't worry... There isn't any problem...
@@backtohome thanks a ton for reinforcing my stand, though need to research a bit more as sealoprime being an acrylic putty seems to be a good overcoat for putty and plastered surfaces (as in its product data sheet), but nowhere does it mention of it's capabilities of being an undercoat (it's stickiness ) to cement based putty.
@@vsnuair hope you mean seal -o- prime is a primer. ..So far no issues..and paint companies do promote primer followed by putty for interior

Hi. Berger seal o prime is classified under exterior primer in the Berger website. So is it ok to use for interior as well?

@@backtohome I am also planning to use the same for bith interior an exterior but just to ensure about any chance of chemical release. These doubts came after reading so much product literature 😀
@@johanng3068 low VOC paints are there.. But actually in reality it is difficult to manufacture 💯 VOC less paints.. But, i read somewhere that there are paints manufactured from natural ingredients.. But, durability and cost are the main concerns... To be honest, I don't feel any irritating smell after using berger.. Happy purchase!!

ഇനി മഴ നനയുന്ന ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ബാത്റൂം പുറംഭിത്തി വരുന്ന ഭാഗങ്ങളിലും putty ലാസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യില്ല... ആ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ 2 coat white cement + exterior primer + 2 coat emulsion.

We didn't put putty for exterior.. For interior, for smooth finish 2 coat putty can be applied!! Your putty requirement to a very good extent depends on plastering quality!!
