How ironic. I was telling you about my sons KTM 790 and the problems he had. His headlight upper studs broke (poor design) on the same exact section. We didn’t know there was a problem with this particular area on his bike and they make a bracket to reenforce the headlight pod. Problem is it had to be modified before it breaks. Ooops. To late. Well we were able to modify the new bracket so hopefully it holds. Otherwise we will have to break out the grinder and Tig to reweld the mounting studs to the neck of the frame. He had duct tape along with a tie down strap and it got him further down the road before the front brakes went out. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope you get it patched up.
“Unicorn Fur” - LOL. I put my order in 2 years ago - but it’s been on back order for ever. I hear and feel the frustration. Not quite a duct tape problem- but certainly one with a clever solution to be discovered.
Uggg! That stinks. If something can be done, I am confident you will figure it out. This will make another great (unexpected) video in your series. Best wishes John.
100 mph race tape and fence wire will fix it. And here I thought in the USA you guys were all developed No WiFi how backwards. Much like rural Australia 🇦🇺 100 years behind but bloody lovely countryside
Onward you roll John 👍
I do!
If the unicorn fur doesn't work, you may be able to hold it up with a sky hook . A cowgirl might help too. If anyone can make it work, you can.
Skyhook and Cowgirl, I’ll look around and see what I can find. 🤠
Looks like the "Broke Back Mountain" motif there on the wall!
What happens in Wyoming, stays in Wyoming. 👀

Ya. Almost like you JINXED me. LOL.
@@JohnTYoung Hope not. Lol Seems the washboard causes a rhythm that’s hard on bikes, accessories and equipment.
Awesome videos man!!!
Thanks Rippin!
Good to see you back on John. Thanks for taking us on the WYBDR with you.
Thanks for coming along and listening to me whine. 😎
Good to see you posting again! Stay safe!
I’m trying.
So on the 2nd day you went all the way through Centennial to Alcova, and then another 30 miles to Casper for the hotel? You must have been flying.
Braap on!

We’ll see in a few minutes. As soon as the Hardwear store opens
If it can be field fixed I’m sure you’re capable of making it happen. Hopefully we will get to see you continue. WYBDR on my radar this summer.
Still moving forward!
This episode should be called "Broke Bike Mountain". lol.
Ouch. I can hear you, you know. 😳

LOL. All my vids are now about me breaking stuff. New channel!
Nice MRA sticker in the helmet. You a SAR guy John?
I was with Mountain Rescue Aspen and HAATS Heli Rescue for a long while.
Feeling for you. Not an easy fix at home with proper tools.
Thanks but I’ll cobble something together.
@@JohnTYoung Nice temporary fix with the straps. I was looking at mine today and wondering if you could lash it on there with some truckers hitches.
@@mikeisland7382 Do it !!!! It’s a thing now.

Well, it is Wyoming. Nothing but Deer and Antelope.
Zip ties. Big ones. And lots of them.
BIG ONES.
possible to through bolt it? I'm not familiar with the design, just a thought.
I’d have the pull the triple tree. In a motel parking lot. But not a bad idea when I get home!
How’s the route for 4 wheel drive vehicles? Sometimes a few of us ride and we have a support crew follow in their Jeeps/ Tacomas..
Easy peasy in a truck
Is that Brokeback Mountain I see out the window?
Well, it is in Wyoming…. 😬
LOL
Dude... not a good start. The abuse these bikes take eventually shows, at the absolute worse time.
Yup. I coulda broke on the White Rim
trail when there were 4 of us but noooooooooo. LOL.
