First, thank you for your service to the USA, Lydia! Second, thank you for sharing your story. So many doctors still do not realize that pain can be a part of Myositis. Your story, how the doctors dismissed your symptoms as psychological, is all to common with Myositis. Myositis, being such a rare disease, is hard to diagnose. This is why we need to educate physicians and healthcare workers as much as we can. Even you, as a nurse, had never heard of this disease and this is what we hear so often. Your story will truly help others learn more and hopefully understand what we go through.
