- Oh-so-soft and with a subtle sheen, Truboo is a 100% bamboo yarn with amazing drape. This CYC 3 (light) yarn works up into breezy garments that are perfect for transitioning from spring into summer. Available in a range of solid colors, Truboo will show off textured stitches and colored stripes while also looking beautiful in a single basic stitch. This is the best bamboo yarn I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. It forces me to crochet slower and appreciate the process more. I was fortunate to buy 4 skeins on deep discount in April and I’m making a drapey summer top with mine.
I love how all the colors were placed out on table. The name of the color would pop on the screen. Awesome work. 💙
I would like to make a summer top from this yarn. I tend to be overly hot, so the cool feel of the yarn would definitely make it enjoyable and cooling to wear in the hot days of summer.
Same, I'm crocheting a sunhat with LB's Cotton Bamboo, but I'm planning on picking up some Truboo for a summer top. I prefer to knit garments as crochet is denser, but the projects I've made with it all have wonderful drape, even crocheted.
I absolutely love this yarn! Like silk, but better. Thank you Lionbrand for my new favorite yarn. Amazing summer cardigans and shawls have been added to my summer wardrobe. Using a very smooth hook such as the aluminum Boye to crochet works well with this yarn.
Beautiful yarn. Love all the colors. Looking forward to trying this on a shawl or spring top/cardigan. Thank you for always bringing us such great yarns.
How gorgeous! 💕💕💕
I have already order one box of truboo with almost all the colors....it was here in feb 2020 and i have yet to crochet or knit with it. Can't wait 😍
I have two summer or warm weather tees or tanks that I've been looking for a yarn to make it from. So here I go!
I'm such a big fan of the Wattle Bud Cardigan and the designer recommends cotton type yarns. This yarn looks so lovely and I thing I'll be grabbing a nice spring color for a light weight cardigan! Maybe the light blue or the lavender color.
I think I would make a shawl with it. The yarn colors are beautiful!! Can't wait to go back to work so I can buy some to try it. Hope all are safe and healthy. 💜💙💚
i love this yarn this would be great for a summer cardigan
Love the look of this yarn! I will definitely check it out and would LOVE to make a spring/summer top with it.
I bought this for the first time a month ago and just now got around to using it to make a shawl...its all the things she said in the review and more....I have a feeling its going to be one of my favorites... I just wish it came in more colors and some Ombre colors, and variegated... This is a great yarn...give us more!
I am starting Marnie’s Garden soon from Hooked on Sunshine. 🙂 💕 Beautiful pattern! It will be for my first granddaughter in Florida.
I definitely need to get some. I love me some rayon.
I just ordered Truboo and eagerly await it's arrival! I'm going to make a lacy summer scarf with textured stitches using a larger hook than recommended to create a light and airy fabric.
One of my subscribers mentions this yarn when I was mentioning that I was wanting to stock up on my cotton and cotton blend yarn and that I prefer weight 3 and under ... I think I will love it based on this video, I'm off to order some ;) Happy Easter and be safe! Donna from youtube SunshineLeclair
Wow I love how drapey it is not so book or stiff for more elegant pieces or pieces that hug the body or drapes the body well
A shawl ! 👍
A summer sweater❣
I can't wait 💕💕💕🌳
I want to knit a Cuban button up shirt with this yarn! That would be my dream summer shirt haha
I have worked with this yarn! It truly is beautiful. I made several summer shawl/scarfs and they are so comfortable & light!! Would Lion Brand consider making this yarn in some veregated shades? I think that would be wonderful!!
Glad you like it, Sandy! Thanks for the suggestion!
I am currently trying to make a couple of stuffed animals out of some. It is hard to work with on the animals because it tries to get too tight on the rounds. I believe that I have found a way around that. I do think it would work better for more of a flat project. I will agree that it's a very soft and silky yarn.
OOOHH I love me a soft natural fibre! If I had a whole bunch of these, I would make a summer pullover. I love sweaters, but in the summer, it's hard to make a crochet garment pullover that doesn't end up super warm. I love wool, but cotton and bamboo will definitely be on my hook this summer! I made a whole bunch of hats for #hatnothate last week with my live stream audience (the Last Minute Laura Gang), and since then, I have been on a Lion Brand hunt. If only the stores were open so I could squish this yarn!
For az weather this will be a good yarn
Very nice and pretty colors. It's a little pricy but the results and quality look amazing.😍
I have a machine made feather and fan with a cable twist sweater that I'd love to duplicate in this yarn! I've been working on figuring out the pattern.
Definitely a tank top. Asymmetrical or a high-lo.
I absolutely love this yarn but I do have trouble with it splitting on my metal hook
Πάρα πολύ όμορφο νήμα και βίντεο.
Thank you for sharing this video with such beautiful bright colors. I have not been able to find truboo yarn on the bright beautiful colors you are showing in this video. I'm looking for the bright red orange and the bright strong yellow! Where in the world will I ever find them? Pastels are not a problem, but none of the bright strong colors as your video shows, do not seem to exist! Do you think you can help me with this matter?
This yarn is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to use it for some spring and summer projects. I really want to know if it would be good for crocheting or knitting bikinis or swimwear. I really love to use it for that
I love this yarn. I'm making a Blouse with it . But having a hard time finding any of the stores having the colors I need. I have to buy a little at a time. Don't discontinue this yarn please.
I wish you would have shown all the colors witih their names. The generic color photos for each colorway have some that are not at all accurate to their actual color (i.e. Lilac). Seeing a skein in real time would be really helpful. On the plus side, this is the softest yarn I've ever used in my life and it drapes so beautifully!
Would this yarn be good for a beach cover up that may get wet when you wear it?
I picked up some today specifically looking for something that can hold up for a swimsuit . I want quality and I want to be able to wear it as well
I would love it in black.
Thanks for the suggestion!
When will this be at all the Walmarts?
Currently making a mosaic afghan
I s this good for. a baby blanket?
Summer top or shawl
Sweaters for summer
What do you dream of making with Truboo?
I would make a shawl or top or maybe a nice small blanket
I think a cardigan would be so beautiful made with this yarn
I made already a dress
A bikini
i bought this as my first yarn. I'm not sure if you mentioned it already but it's hard for me to understand everything in knitting. How many stitches for 4 inches?
Hi! Truboo is 23 stitches over 4 inches on a size 6 (4mm) needle.
On your website just 2 patterns with this yarn.
I’ve crochet two tops with this yarn and it splits terribly. Very difficult to work with.
I have found that bamboo stretches does truboo stretch??
Hi Ann! Great question! Truboo behaves similarly to bamboo. It is not elastic the way that wool can be.
Yes it does stretches
J 6, is 6 mm.
Tops and maybe shorts
Is this good for making swimsuit ?
Wedding wrap.
Beautiful but it splits so much!
I would love this yarn if it were 1. 4 weight and 2. REAL Bamboo! Rayon from bamboo is made with chemicals! It is not a renewable resource like straight up bamboo, you are leaving behind unwanted chemicals. Impress me make a !00% Bamboo yarn period!
Love the yarn and trying to find on amazon.
But please tell your presenters to stop speaking with vocal fry. It’s unnecessary and is like nails on a chalkboard and actually very uncomfortable to listen to.
There is a lot of "vocal fry" in this person's voice!
‘Vocal fry’ is usually just a way of criticizing a woman’s voice. Like old school sexism with a new word. Like ‘Karen’ is a new word for bitch.
