The Nikon Z 50 is an upgraded mirror-less Nikon D5500 and Nikon D5600. Which I use for street photography as they are quite small but not to small.

I just bought the z50 as a b cam to my z6. Found an extremely misfortunate problem though: the continuous autofocus with face recognition doesn’t work in video when the screen is used in selfie mode. Haha how could you mess this up?

The hivemind of Japan Nikon has decided you don't need that feature. Nikon knows best.

I found the solution. In the SETUP Menu... OFF the Self-portrait mode !

FotoSun wow, that’s so weird. I also found a workaround - if you hit record before you flip the screen into selfiemode the face detection autofocus seems to work
