@@sevenstars4817 Sad reality that people consider Royal Enfield smooth and a ktm viby , people often forget or may be don't know that singles do vibrate , can't defy the laws of physics, and to balance and smooth out those vibration more balancer weight and dampers will be used which will increase the weight and then again people will say that it's a heavy bike , so it goes on and on and on. Every motorcycle is not for everyone so please don't spread hate. I am not a ktm owner , I have a CBR 250R and an R15 v4 and even those have vibration but they are considered as a character, after riding the old ktm 390 I was blown away by its power and handling.
Really! So please explain to me how I was to blame for my Duke 390s fuel tank kept on developing leaks, I clearly remember not using a hammer or a sharp tool to poke holes.
Explain to me how was it my fault that the radiator and water pump kept on acting up, cause I sure wasn't using tap water mixed with sugar.
Enlighten me how the front forks kept on leaking when I wasn't doing wheelies or off roading or crashing into pot holes. Or a whole litany of electric and mechanical issues.
I can write a book on the issues 390 had but no we have geniuses here who think its the riders fault. And by the way I have owned Duke 390, 690R and 790. Stop with this fanboy nonsense.

People are giving it hate because it's a new design. Just like how they gave hate to the previous design, but after some time they accepted and loved it. People will like this one too eventually. It's just the fact that people find it hard to accept something new in the beginning, but then they accept it

The looks of new RC390 I believe is still hard to digest from the front but this bike I find absolutely amazing
Hate? This is the best looking and powerful, bike I have ever seen in this price range .how can even hate this just because some uncultured people ride this before . It's a great bike new one also fantastic 300 cc segment
I bought a Honda CB 300 F 2 weeks back. If I were given an option to buy a bike without worrying about mileage, I would anyday buy a duke 250/390.
I love the new color scheme and the way it looks.

Been riding the Duke 390 since 2019 ..... Amazing bike
Extremely less maintenance (if you work on your bike a little bit 😅)
Zero headache
Superb performance (don't compare with Z900 or other naked😅)
Excellent mileage as per power figures and performance ( I get around 27 in city and 34+ in highways)
Very easy to handle easy to filter through traffic
I also have the RC390 but Duke is my everyday bike

27 in the city and 34+ on the highway. Thats an average of 30.5, when the average claimed by ktm themselves for the 2019 model was 28.5 if my memory serves me right. Its not realistically possible to get an average more than the manufacturers claim. You might get it at some rare one off occasion but consistently its not possible.
@@shonith91 i had had a ride back home. 150 kilometers. I got a mileage of 36.5 kmpl. speed consistent in between 75-85km/h
I don't know why people do that, associate ktm with chapri ? Ive seen superbike owners being chapri .. its not the bike its the person behind the bars
In my town most of the boys between 19 to 25 mostly choose..r15 .. they don't even know about quickshifter and autoblipper.. they don't know how to revv match... How to enter and exit through a corner..they only buy r15 to show-off and only to set an example how a squid should ride... Same with duke... Duke's, r15, mt15, ns200 are great bike but mostly usually get chosen by chapri riders and squids..

After 40 years in the saddle I’ve come to appreciate what the smaller cc bikes now offer for performance and features and I’ve basically ridden everything out the but a URAL. The only thing i dislike about the 390 Duke is I don’t own one yet

Using since 2018. Always a beast to ride and the power surge is second to none. Bike is great for long touring and little offroading also like u find in Ladakh or Uttarakhand.

I see this has higher price, but has so much more to offer like bigger and powerful engine, riding modes, wuick shifter, etc. Great package overall. But I understand how this brand's image has been dragged down by nonsense class people with fancy hairstyles and coloured pants, just wanted to showoff a lot. They must have failed to score good marks in exam and to gain popularity, they like to have very nonsense reels with KTM bikes. Extremely shameful.

Sorry Shumi but I have to call you out on your fanboy fan fiction for Duke 390. Its a terrible bike, yes its light weight, nimble and was hoot to ride but it was a terrible nightmare to live with. The only part that worked most of the time was the engine. Other than that every conceivable mechanical & electrical part developed problems. The quality control was terrible at best and nonexistent at worst. I owned several Dukes even higher capacity ones, they all had their own faults but 390 was in a class of its own for being extra crappy.
I can understand the love people have towards 390, to this day I have mine standing in my garage waiting for me to decide if I want to spend another 2 to 3k USD to fix it or strip and sell it for parts. I sold all other KTMs of mine and try to stay a million miles away from this brand.
This and the other KTM duke video was nothing more than a love letter from a fanboy to a machine which honestly doesn't deserve the praise being lavished towards it.

all the new launches happening right now r bcz of this master piece, ktm even made triumph to launch a bike under 4Lakhs, duke 390 has always been a trend setter but sadly my parents forced me to sold my 390 bcz of these so called chapris. The brand has lost its value.
Everything is absolutely kick-ass on this bike. But for god's sake, change those hideous fairings and go back to the older kind of lighting setups 🙏🙏🙏

Do not underestimate this beast. You need to treat her with a ton of respect as there are hardly any riders who have exploited the 390 to its full potential on the street and lived to talk about it.

Go for the Duke 250 , it will be a better upgrade from the 100 cc commuter , i guess shumi sir will also suggest you the same .

It is TOO flashy, ktm should launch some toned down colours like black with black rims. And the slur you are talking about, is a big thing. People look down so bad on ktm. Ktm should've launched some conventional looking bike then the image might have changed, but all ktm wants is stickers and orange rims.
It's their brand of design @confused.cat and it's the riders who gave it that image, not the design. So, they don't have to change anything, we do!

There are a lot fewer bikes on the road, and even those which are, look flashy as well. So ktm bikes don't stand out. All I am saying is that ktm needs to provide colour options more suited to india

Is it true that KTM engine lifespan is about 40000 kms? I have an offer for a swap with duke 200,should i go for it? I own R15v3.. My odo reading is 53000 km but runs like new... I dont wanna regret, please do suggest.

Don't swap, buy a new bike. Duke is a performance bike so don't expect the engine that would have been used with less aggression :) just an opinion which you do not have to accept.
Not trying to promote any channel but there’s channel called “Arya U” and he had to go through engine rebuild on his Rc390 before even reaching 25k odo and his comment section is also talking about the unreliable engine of ktms compare to Japanese counterparts but also he rides like a maniac.

All bikes make subconscious impressions
1. Splendour and similar commuter bikes make an image of hardworking moddle class job goers
2. Bullets marketed their product with Amry men, Policemen etc during 1990s
3. Scooters were marketed as common family man's everyday easy commuter
4. KTMs would had marketed it as Weekend adventure bikes for IT guys etc.
But they never tried....and alas Chapris got their hand on KTM and they made this image of coloured hair and tight pants!! 😂😂😂
KTMs should just accept their responsibility that they failed to manage the image of their bikes!!
