I have been praying intensely over the past several months for someone to help clear up my understanding of II Thess 2. I have been troubled for years by the teaching I have received (and books I read) for decades because the way it is interpreted makes the first few verses of Chap 2 a non sequitur. I have never been convinced of pre-trib, but leaned that way. Your teachiing has cleared up the problems I had. It all hinges on the Day of Christos--that it is NOT The Day of the Lord that we learn of in the OT. Day of the Lord is what all my previous teachers said it was. When you read it as Day of Christ (Rapture) it is no longer a non sequitur. And I wondered why they were convinced that the Day of the Lord was the entire 7 years. I kind of just accepted that because of man's logic. Thank you so much as you brought the answer to my prayers.

You apoke of the difference between Day of the Lord and Day of Christ, but didn't deal with the verb that follows Day of Christ-- does the verb mean IS AT HAND, HAS COME, HAD COME, IS PRESENT??? I think that would shed light on exactly which it is--Rapture or Day of the Lord. Also, I can't think of anywhere Jesus told us to watch for the apostasy. He told us to watch for Him because he would come at a time we didn't expect. I am a bit confused now.

Excellent message - spot on..... it's what we've witnessed. However, think John's message regarding those leaving and never belonging is separate from great apostasy. Paul used adjective "great" meaning majority of Christians. Paul was a Christian - only Christians can apostasize. He said it happens first, which tells us man of sin isn't hiding in Europe until his time to be revealed. Nope - he's front and center the entire time: gas-lighting, fear mongering, causing division, and filling their heads with conspiracy theories..... lies and delusions. But the great apostasy is where the church as a whole (just a remnant not fooled) becomes corrupt. In the case of the great apostasy - it will be true believers walking away. And would think that is God's will, i.e. come out of her and separate yourself from her.
I’m confused at mentioning of sun darkening w/ moon to blood (at rapture?) vs Sun AND moon darkening on 2nd Coming ? Mustn’t it be moon-to-Blood sign that corresponds to rapture (Day of Christ, like thief in the nite) vs moon-to-dark sign for 2nd Coming (Day of JHWH/ LORD), as speaker explained ? I don’t see it in my bibles though … like Dake’s) maybe because my Bible translations are not textus receptus? All my bibles seem just to say whether moon is red or dark, it’s all 2nd Coming, but the speaker seemed to point out a difference ☝️😅
