yes even on what might be considered a slower day, still filled with so much, it is a lot more low key out in the north east as you said. As always thanks for watching Bruce.
I too live in a place that's green all year round. There's a reason for this: water. Lots of it, in every shape and form. Thanks Joe for another great episode!
Wow Joe, it gets better & better & better, what a fantastic country to motorbike around ...... think I will have to take another visit, maybe this year ...... keep biking on .... cheers for now .... actually have some friends in Viet right now, I am sending them a link to your channel ... 🦘🦘🦘
Me and a friend did the dirt track leading to the bamboo raft a year ago. Fortunately it hasn’t rained that day, but good on ya for not taking the path down there. With these conditions it would be nearly impossible and very dangerous since it’s only a very narrow dirt track with a steep drop-off. Loving this series by the way!
First of all, thank you for showing the less well known side of Vietnam, the effort in rebuilding after the devastation, and the spirit of the Vietnamese people. Stumbled upon your channel while browsing videos for the scram 411 (or was it the himmie, I cant remember) and instantly hooked. Outside of the amazing footages, I just find your narration very soothing and straight up down to earth. Me and my wife have done a few trips around the north of Vietnam ourselves, on a scooter. Recently bought a little Honda XR150 and we're planning on a motorcycle trip from Hanoi to Danang in late Feb, and seeing this series really makes me itchy to go out and ride. God speed mate, keep on riding!
It is great to hear you are enjoying the series. I know I am barely scratching the surface and missing a lot of incredible spots, but that just means I'll have to do other trips to Vietnam in the future. I can see what you would keep going back. Thanks for watching.
Yes I had seen some photos but normally it just one small part of a country but in the north the conical hills are everywhere, so many amazing places. Yes the big surprise are the people, so welcoming so friendly, helpful and yes happy. As always thanks for watching
Well Joe this video was filled with diversity, again so much devastation from that typhoon from months ago but how resilient are the people, love how you captured the children waving, nice 😊. I have visited Vietnam and was ore struck by its beauty, but you videography takes it to another dimension. Thank You Sir 🫡
yes what might be considered an slower day was still filled with a lot. Yes the be thing I'll take away from Vietnam is how welcoming and friendly the people are, just amazing.
Even with the fog and rain great episode Joe Beautiful scenery, those twisties, the colour that water and the bridges and if corse the food how nice Thanks Dave
yes even on what might be a slower day, so much happened and again the people are so welcoming and friendly, that's going to be the big thing I take away from Vietnam, the people are incredible. As always thanks for watching.
Thank you SO much for your videos! Just found your channel last week and just at the right time too! Me and my wife are moving back to Viet Nam in a few weeks to be with the in-laws again after several years in Europe. Your views of the countryside remind me of why I fell in love with that country in the first place and provide an important source of motivation through all those draining preparations, packing and paper works at the moment!
Yes it was a surprise to me and the people there were so welcoming and friendly. Riding through the conical hills is amazing, they are wild formations. Thanks for watching
Same here, that's what I like about going to different countries, to experience all these differences, all great in their own way. As always thanks for watching
Hi Joe, The 'interesting looking plants on the hillside 7:07 - are probably Cassava. Not sure which exact one - probably a variegate - developed for local conditions Cassava produces starchy tubers that are collected for eating - as well as for bio-fuel.
Noyce.....I want to do that, also. North Vietnam is quite spectacular. Have been to Sapa , and Lao Cai....cold up there....pho bo dac biet country.....a good hearty feed, anyway....and good coffee, to keep you going.
This is episode 6 I was in some of the areas in episode 1 to episode 5. The food has been great, I don't drink coffee so not sure what it's like. Thanks for watching
Hi Joe is in Vietnam is such a beautiful country absolutely wonderful The bakeries were taught by the French, that’s why the bread etc etc is so good , I have a friend that lives over there he’s been there for 15 years can’t wait to go over and see him and his wife anyway keep up the good work stay safe Cliff from Australia
@@Get-A-Life Yes as it was such last minute me going to Vietnam, it was the only bike available and didn't get a service before I left (it has 26,000km on it when I got on it), but sorted at the end.

Yes, tractor is a good word for it. just getting the job done, taking me where I want to go. I am not racing anywhere so I don't need to have the fastest thing out there, reliability and ability to get me through what every comes up.

That's great to hear, the rain gear is REV'IT. It's the basic jacket with no pockets (REV'IT! CYCLONE 4 H2O RAIN JACKET) I went the next model up for the pants (REV'IT! NITRIC 3 H2O RAIN PANTS) so I could get the full length zip on one side and it is so much easier to get on and off over boots.
