Darkveil
Power: teleportation, just like Nightcrawler.
Personality: None.
Role in the story: virtue signaling, pandering.
yup
Pretty much, I read the character's power and I was like "That's literally Nightcrawler's power!" because SJWs are incapable of being original, so they instead create bootleg versions of better characters with their ideology injected into them.
@@Masterge77 Which is why they try to invade already established properties. They are not smart or creative enough to make their own things.

Oh but it's not meant to be stereotypical or racist, right? lol This writer is a fucking joke.
BlackDevilDog ok
lets be honest, anyone with superpowers wouldn't just become a hero immediately.

Dude, that dream would make an EXCELLENT comic series.
i know right! wish i could dream like that
@@harveydents I have roughly the same ability, where I know I'm dreaming and can steer my dreams, most of the time.
Sadly it comes with a problem. I have a relatively light sleep pattern, I keep waking up during the night, not by noises outside, but because I just randomly wake up LOL.
I do go to sleep pretty quickly though and get enough sleep, so at least It doesn't cause me problems.
I do have some really kick arse dreams though and would love to be talented enough to make something from them.
I'd pay to see this as a comic or a book.
The story reminded me a lot of Blade Runner. Sounded really cool though. :)
Right! I honestly could see like a high production value Netflix series out of that concept
Daaaaaaaaaaaamn!! Where do we get the rest of that dream? THAT WAS AN AMAZING STORY!
That was a good story it had depth to it and really makes you wonder if laws like that would or wouldn't be passed
Every time I watch this video, I get so invested in the dream that I completely forget that he was talking about Darkveil 😂😂😂
@@narrativenoob Same here! That story has me so thoroughly invested, that when he goes back to talking about the story of Darkveil, I get whiplash!
Like, "OHHHH, right, we were talking about horrible writing...can we go back to talking about the dream?"
He should really write it down and turn it into something.
@@Mikanoes yeah, right? The dream was so interesting!! I wanted more!! It definitely has more depth than Darkveil.

Sad truth.

So fucking sad and freaky.

It's terrifying just how much of what's going on holds truth to THAT.
"Puberty blockers could have prevented her power from manifesting."
That actually sounds like an interesting concept to explore. Too bad the comic is too creatively bankrupt to seize on the opportunity.
Well the character wouldn't have been on hormone blockers. They're a drag queen not a trans person
this is actually a mis-step. The line in comics is "typically around puberty".... thing is.. we have examples that DId manifest later in life. Lorna Dane for example... didn't develop any superpowers until her 20s. she DID have green hair at random before her powers manifested.. so one could argue her mutancy had already been unlocked.. except...green hair wasn't a response to anything... it was just there.
When burnt overcooked popcorn from SpongeBob SquarePants giving mermaid man and barnacle boy super powers turns out to be a better origin story the one by Sena grace.

I think that the cabal's leader's name should be Colonel Suicide and his trusted second in-command should be named Signora Hopelessness, who is his sister.
Bad as it sounds...I'd read that comic
Do you mean 'fall prey'? What you said makes no sense.
Pfft. They only win 41% of the time.
Not impressed.
Why is it that only drag queens are allowed to be sexy and feminine in Marvel anymore?
Because popular culture hates humanity.
because feminists dont want to appease the male gaze, the double standards are they fetishize LGBT characters, and will sexually objectify male characters to appease gay/bi men. But straight men cant objectify, and they act as if straight women dont like feminine female characters. feminism aka marxism in drag is cancer
@@86BarbOmega It is rather ironic that people who supposedly claim to be feminist hold the same views on women's sexuality as conservative Christians or Muslims. They view that women can not be both feminine and sultry and sexy because doing so attracts the male gaze and men can not lust after women and be attracted to them. Really these feminists hate female sexuality and feminine women especially as it relates to men. Also their comics don't appeal to regular women either as regular women love feminine and sexy female characters.
No matter how much they pretend, drag queens in comics are neither sexy or feminine, imo. Not in real life much either but at least real life has far more variety in how people are..
@@86BarbOmega you were right until the marxism thing. they are unrelated ideologies

That dream needs to be a movie or comic. A slick idea..

Comic hell I buy it if it was just a written book
That's retarded

But Darkveil did go through a traumatic event for his powers. The wifi was down when the power went out!

Also get that dream pitched somewhere. I need to read this series.
@ras144 You've not met the middle schoolers I have, then.
@ras144 Your experience is not the universal experience. Don't think that just because you weren't that creative that other children can't be. I know who I know and I know what I know.

@ras144 They are, but you're ignoring that not all middle schoolers write at the same level, and not all middle schoolers write that poorly. That's all. You refuse to accept this, so I'm done. It was a joking insult you took to mean more than it actually did. Good day tho!

When you were talking about the dream and mentioned that the three boys had the same general look, I was thinking,
"So, it's the end of the Clone Wars, and the Republic's won?"
Technically The Republic did win the Clone Wars. It was just then turned into The Empire.
I'd watch a show about a squad of clones coming back after the war and trying to adjust into civilian life, whether they're deserters or whatever, but they can't help but get into trouble. Flags of Our Fathers x Star Wars, I guess.
You better copyright your dream. Marvel might be listening in on it.
Probably stolen already. Try writing man.👍

All flash, no substance. All foam and no beer. Etc.
Marvel would have no interest. It's a quality story that doesn't push any SJW agenda items. It'd be a great collaboration between JSG and EVS or Tim Lim.
My gosh, that dream actually sounded really interesting! Like, legitimately interesting, not just in comparison to the character's backstory! Heck, I might even want to read that myself!
Hope he turns that dream into a comic one day. Maybe with his conscious mind, he could tie up the loose ends (like what happened to the female duplicates), and really bring that idea together, but the basics really are there for a good and interesting story!
That dream is intense man
[Edit] very blade runner. You should make sure to write that down and build on it, self publishing is a thing man!

Should so for copyright infringement or something.
@@LibraGamesUnlimited
Not a good idea. That would be like ISIS going to a US court claiming copyright infringement because an anti Islamic group is calling themselves ISIS. The X men are wanted criminals for breaking the law. I can see the avengers being called in to round them up for failing to follow that registration act in civil war.
@@drmayeda1930 wonder if xavier set up a group called the c-men, they inforced the x-men's copyright (by breaking legs)
@@drmayeda1930 See I don't read Marvel so I didn't know that. I don't know how people who save the world every month could be wanted criminals for doing it but okay.
In that case, maybe they should send a couple of guys over to knee cap the offending party. :)
When Professor X died the most recent time, he transferred the ownership of the name X-Men to Kitty Pryde, which is why Havok couldn't use it. But I'm reasonably sure the X- cess of Xes on uniforms is not owned. Marvel has its own legal precedents around the super-powered agents, so maybe an issue of She-Hulk covers this issue of copyright and trademark.
I’d pay for a comic series based upon that dream.
Where’s do I fund it?
"Known relatives. Known! Relatives. KNOWN RELATIVES."

I was sent here from a new post. The link was set to "Let me tell you about this dream I had...." After listening to the fairly awesome story, I went back to hear the whole video. Great video. But, the shocker is that this dream is JSG "phoning it in". This is not even trying?!
In all seriousness, how badass is your final form?
If that "Dupes" dream was made into a comic, movie, or small screen series (animated might be best, but I'd take live action just as well) I'd be all about getting into it and pushing it on my friends.
I would enjoy either reading or watch it as tv series

Bruh! Recently found your channel, you’re EASILY in my top 5 favorite content creators! And you’re from the CHI!! You’re super talented bro, peace and much prosperity to you! 💯🙏🏽💪🏽
If that’s your version of world building and character creation while your sleeping then I am impressed all around. This is evidence that SJW’s don’t care and have no love for our fandom
Also hard proof they have no creativity
Two things:
First, it's somehow extremely satisfying that there is someone who dreams something, goes "aw that was cool I need to remember that" and then *does* remember it and it's not surreal and nonsensical but actually a cool story. I think I had something like that once or maybe twice in my lifetime but I'm really bad at lucid dreaming so I immediately forgot. I like that not every story that comes out of our subconscious is lost by default.
Second, I would buy that comic if you made it. The setting sounds cool enough but not too exotic to get into. And when you compared it to Starship Troopers you basically had me.
If your dream happened, I'd say that it crossed Xenosaga with Blade Runner.
which would be very similar
bud, that was one of the best slice of a story I've heard in like 6 years. If you were to actually develop that into a book or a comic I'd be in to buy.
Too many non-creative (uncreative?) people are trying to be creators these days.
Uncreative is the correct word, yes.
More accurately, too many uncreative people are being given jobs by the big 2.
That and the fact that most of them don’t even seem to care about the medium, and are only using it as a steppingstone stone to get into movies.
A big reason why China was an advance nation for years until the late 1800s- early 1900s was because they didn’t care who that man(women had little rights back in ancient China) is or where he came from. They only cared about his merit and abilities, accepting him when he passed a test with flying colors. Maybe if we had the comic industry accept people based on merit again we could see an increase in the quality of our comics
I would argue that they are not uncreative, but they don't care about their fellow humans and don't interact with them. This means the creator has no idea what people want.
I would like to encourage you to make a full novel out of that dream idea. I was invested pretty quickly in just that snippet you dreamed up.
She's a reskinned Darkshade or Cloak. Such a creativity, seeing her powerset.
As for the backstory, wtf..
Funny how every far left SJW character is either openly or not so openly a rip off of another character. Is there any of them that are wholly or even somewhat original (even if they suck)? I know they (or their defenders) would say that there are no original characters anymore and they're all similar to other characters but, much like their "comics have always been political" argument, they don't do it half as well as real writers and artists.
its a he cause it was born that way

But I dont wanna believe theyre that stupid
The dream was retarded
@@robinhyperlord9053 but it had a nice enough premise
Can I just give you props for mentioning Xenosaga? That's my favorite video game series of all time and it deserves more love!
So this character is in his mid 20's when his powers manifest themselves. Marvel doesn't even remember their own rules. Mutant abilities manifest themselves during a person's teen years.
Specifically tied to the onset of puberty. SJWs would probably get their panties in a bunch over this but there could be a link between DarkVeil's cross-gender identity and late manifestation of mutant powers if it was tied to conflicting hormones that led to late puberty. Just thinking ...
Because everyone worth a warm bucket of piss from Marvel is Dead/Retired.
Well, there are exceptions to that rule... Nightcrawler, Mystique, Sabretooth, Hope Summers, Beast, Apocalypse, and pretty much all of the Morlocks were all born with outward mutations. On the other side of the spectrum, I believe there have been mutants who didn't manifest their powers until long past puberty... back when Marvel comics had coherent writing. Cecilia Reyes, Changeling, and Mikhail Rasputin are examples of this, I believe (but don't wow me on this part. The birth part is correct, but I'm not too sure about the adult part).
But as far as the whole Marvel fucking up part? Yup. Completely agree with that.
@@lincolnpascual This was addressed in an X-Factor run. The current puberty manifestations of mutants are linked to the increased exposure to radioactivity since the 50s.
There are older types of mutants who developed powers at different stages in life. For example Selene who had her mutation from birth.
Jamie Madrox also is a "born" mutant, even though his powers manifested themselves later.
Most "Children of the Atom" though manifest their powers during puberty.
*"Does it need to be so catty?"*
Did you even look at the character picture?
The stupid physically hurt my soul. I literally can not imagine being that dumb, and i don't even know much about comic books.
Also, I'd pay for that dream to be a vidya game.
Please go to the ministorum to get soul therapy.
You could use his friend as a villain. Like s/he get picked up by the cop, some how gets exposed to terrigen mist, gets power and then gets experimented on by some shadowy government agency. After all this torture s/he escapes and the only thing they can think about is how is how Shade could have came back to save him/her and never did.
That idea about a mutant not getting his or her powers at puberty because they were a trans child on puberty blockers should have been explored already. This is a situation where a trans writer might actually benefit the story. I say "might" because these people don't seem to want to write about problems where they aren't the victims of other people. Why can't we have non SJW trans writers?
Also, Bro you need to make that dream story a comic. I'd read the sh!t out of that. I like the way your mind works. You'd make a great writer. Don't doubt it.
That's because non-white, trans, gay, etc... writers who are actually writers and not agenda pushers have too much self-respect than to be involved in this sort of clown show attempt at 'representation'. I know SJWs like to pretend that comics where 100 percent straight, white, men until they came along but real creators who fit these groups know better, just like the rest of us.
@@LibraGamesUnlimited Yeah I know but I'm not talking about the SJW clowns. I never hear about non agenda pushing trans people in comics. I'm saying if they existed they might have a unique perspective when it comes to how chemicals affect your body and personality. Might make a good writer for the Inhumans. A story about a young Inhuman going through the transformation and his/her inner thoughts as everything changes.
This is assuming that having a similar experience to what you are depicting makes you better at describing it but any good writer should be able to embody their character after sufficient research into the situation.
In this line of thought, what do you think is better? Having a great writer writing a trans character even though they are not trans but have a big imagination or having a mediocre trans writer do it. Who will make the better character?
@@Rafy182003 Always go with talent/skill. A good writer can (and will) put in the time and effort and research.
It's sort of like casting an actor to play a superhero character. Would you rather take a skilled actor and get them in shape or take someone who is already in shape but can't act to save their lives?
Actual talent/skill is something you have to have and can't be easily taught but the rest can be learned.
A good writer can do the research and even interview trans people to learn about this stuff and put it on the page but a really bad trans writer can't learn how to tell what they know in a way that's going entertain.
Maybe if you could pair them up or something but, given the option, always go with talent/skill.
@@LibraGamesUnlimited Yeah my thoughts exactly. Too bad Marvel doesn't agree. It's like every decision they make is designed to destroy the company. It really is just a tax write-off for Disney.
@@Rafy182003 Well, I'm pretty sure Disney doesn't care about comics (they had their own comics publishing company, at one point, and shut it down) they just bought Marvel for the characters so they could make money on the movies, the toys and the 'collectible' junk that normies buy to act like they're fans.
Pretty sure if certain characters, like Captain Marvel, didn't have to be published to maintain trademarks they would just shut it all down.
I wouldn't be surprised if the far left people in charge aren't trying to crash the ship on purpose but I think ti's really more about them just not understanding how reality works and thinking if they keep pushing the same junk on us we will just take it eventually or the 'trouble makers' will go and the people they want will buy their junk.
I really liked the dream 's concept (whether it was really a dream or not). There are some bits of it that are meh, like the young white male bit (a bit on the nose honestly), and the way they give exposition about the dupe laws and such feels a bit forced. The rest of it is just gold. Their descriptions, the subtle details of the scene. Even before the guy uses the word "dupe" as a slang, you already have a sense of who and what these characters are. Throw in the casual tropes of "bad-ass wants to be X-common profession" and "dies x-days before retirement" (or in this case, essentially the day after) and you have an easy to pick up plot line, suitable for comic, movie, or T.V. series.
The concept has been done before, and quite successfully, and for good reason. And your dream shows it quite effectively.
Adding another complimenting approval onto a pile of others.
Very good job.
I want more of this dream story. So intriguing, unlike the garbage that encouraged the video.
Young man you really need to write that down, find an independent comic book publisher and a fund me program and get that baby published.
I actually zoned out during the video, and started multitasking. At some point, I became interested again, and started listening. Turns out it was the dream sequence that brought me back.
I think it's a little of both, actually, lol. That IS poor writing on their part; and your subconscious rolled a natural 20 and conceived utter brilliance, meaning you ARE that good.
Also, it seems that lucid dreaming is your mutant power 😁
You are right. Your dream was better than the official Marvel comic character.
I especially liked the part about them _not being allowed to even accidentally kill._
This video pops into my head but it's mainly when Shade gotten sad because the power was shut off
So when you illustrating that Duplicate scene?
You know JSG, your dream story is the kind of story I'd definately pay to read or watch!
Really interesting setup, in characters, environments, world lore and its society's points of view, potential foreshadowing in the old propaganda sequence... You make me wanna know more about this story! If this were adapted into a comic series for example, I'd most definately buy and read it.
Curious to know whether you too started imagining more to that dream, like what happened next, how the story would go, what more would there be to come etc.
Long story short, your dream's story got me hooked! :D
They can't make interesting characters because these people who create them are terrible themselves
Good trees can only produce good fruit. Evil trees can only produce evil fruit. By their works you shall know them.
The problem is they're not taught to think for themselves so they can only think what they are taught/programmed to think. They can't have an imagination because that would mean they think for themselves.
@@nmr7203 Not quite, privilege is something you can take advantage of, but in these scenarios they might spoil a person to make them useless in certain aspects

Also, you need to expand on that dream idea. Had a similar one that was a mix of Alan Wake and The Darkness. P.I. has powers that can help her solve mysteries that are deemed impossible or cold cases, but there's a catch: each use of her powers draws these demonic parasites that are attracted to the use of her psychic/shadow-concealment powers. They get her, they'll puppet her body for sinister purposes. She finds out later that she's not the first to be in this position.
The reason it says "with no criminal record" is because they used to do that in the old "Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe" volumes back in the 80's.
My dream about me becoming a fisher because the road was flooded, is a better backstory then Darkveil.
Superheroes are supposed to be inspiring. This.....thing (only way I can describe it) does not do that. If anything it looks like a dominatrix. The costume itself does not look very practical for rescuing people, especially the shoes. While most superheroines do have a rather silly high heel aspect to their boots, they are either low or at least suitable enough for one to imagine them being run in. For it to have not only stiletto shoes but platform ones at that is way beyond ridiculous.
Dream sounds awesome by the way.

Agreed. You could try becoming a writer. Seeing this in novel or comic form would be great.
I know that this is a year late, but man, I would LOVE it, if you would make a book, or a movie off of that dream! Maybe even have the Kid's explanation of Scar's history, and what refurbishing means for Duplicates, be played like a narrative over scenes that depict what he is talking about. And when he explains why he stopped the cop from shooting, maybe have a Sherlock style scene play out as he describes the path of the bullet, cutting back to reality just before the train crashes.

You should make this into a comic, really.
Much love from the Caribbean (Guadeloupe, french oversea-department).
you got cool dreams
all i got that i can remember was that a young lad and a blind girl at the very end of time using a song to save the souls of the universe =o
I uh... I dreamed that I was locked in a store once.
That sounds pretty cool too, actually.
Bro that dream needs to become a series of some kind. I'd enjoy it
This character is a PLAGIARISM of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure"
No have you seen Magee from Gundam Build Divers? That's a JoJo. This "character" is a ru Paul's drag race diva.
...... How is this a Jojo ripoff? Because his powers are a bit like "Sticky Fingers"?
I don't really see it, his powers are basically "Hammerspace" from Tom & Jerry cartoons. It's not a Stand nor is it Hamon (Ripple). He isn't even built like a Jojo (Maybe after part 3 but I digress)
How dare you compare Jojo to this?!
Dude, mb you HAVE to make this. It would surely make a big push against the SJWs, and would look really good in general. I would love to help with any form of character design. Right now, I'm trying to come up with my own, but I dont think I'm a very good artist. Either way, I'd love to see this as an actual comic.
For the love of god please put this story into a comic!!!! You’ve come up with a better story than comic pros while you weren’t conscious!
We have the same avatar. For a second I thought the post was mine until I saw the name. :)
Man, that dream was amazing. Kinda reminded me of Detroit Become Human, with the types of “Dupes” are used for certain things and it’s pretty much the same looking “dupe” for anything and the humans just seem to hate them just because.
That is a friggin' great story you developed. That needs to be created into something. Novel, comic, whatever.
That dream has really great potential. The world-building, the character development, and even how human the Duplicates seemed.
With great interesting characters along with world-building, and character development is what makes excellent stories.
SJWs/NPCs can't human well .. no truer words have been said ;)
Also, turn that dream of yours into a comic ... DO IT!
It gets to the point of creepy sometimes. It's like these people have no idea what being human actually is. No social awareness or social skills. They just vaguely understand the concept of human interaction/condition.
Also, why is it whenever SJW's create a character they're either remarkably generic or dangerously close to fetish material?
Whywestillhere? They never saw humans past their family irl
I have dreams like that as well. Every dream I've ever had has felt very much like an entire narrative premise, usually like a movie from scene to scene. I am not able to control the dream as you describe, but of all the people I've talked to in my life you are the only other person who describes their dreams like anything close to my own experiences. I'm sitting here, deeply wondering if there is some sort of term for this phenomenon; even if there isn't, I'm glad to have met someone similar.
I digress, it does seem like most new characters written recently are so bad it makes me wonder where all the creativity has gone in story-telling these days.
I would probably read something titled X-Balls
The story about a man whose superpower is that all his children are mutants, because his sperm hyper-evolves, could actually be a good story.
@@jondeoliveira8248 would the X-Man look for him? what would they do once they got him, if they looked for him? my god so many questions, this might be a great idea ^^
I think the main problem is that they rely on sexuality and identity to carry characters instead of their personalities and actions
They also refuse to put aside their bias and critically review characters for their actual personality. This means we end up with these characters thay cannot be reviewed by the main media and have to be liked as a mandate.
You need to make that a full comic. That would be an awesome read. I'm serious about that. I would buy that comic. Shut up and take my money!
Very interesting dream sequence. I also have extremely vivid dreams that I am aware during but they tend to be focused on imagery. There was one recently though that wasn't. A sort of camera pan across a glittering golden atrium shaped like a slim indoor stadium. A sort of camera pan leads to a person hidden out of view in purple robes with a purple multifaced mask that rotates when knocked on for an unknown purpose but clearly intentional. The view shifts to first person at the far end as I walk down a hallway and find my younger brother gathering books and crystals from a low shelf. I ask him about what I had seen and he tells me that, like him, what I had seen was a solari, a sort of magical being. I ask about the mask while continuing to an open area adjacent to the main atrium, along a long glass case full of intricate and wildly colored crystal structures and he tells me it is a magical focus that is able to project different powers depending on the face and that these powers are different depending on the solari and the masks they wear. I begin to speak and mispronounce the word solari and I hear someone nearby yell at me from behind us. A guy with shaggy black hair is glaring at me threatening me with a crystal he picked up off the counter demanding I be more respectful of his kind. Before I can respond he throws it at me but I catch it. He throws two more before I yell for help and a group of people materialize around him and he is dragged off. I ask more about what these solari are and my brother explains that they are a second class citizen being. I ask about the one I had seen in the purple robes and he explains that their powers vary wildly and ones with more useful powers are highly sought after by powerful people, who they become bonded to and that the one in purple was bonded to the immortal emperor, who was known as such because his solari had the power to visualize and hunt down anyone who could, would, or would eventually threaten his bonded master. After that I kinda get distracted with the sheer beauty of the scenery but it was it was really cool regardless because I usually only dream about senseless imagery
JSG, you need to put that dream into a graphic novel. I know I'd buy it.
Duuuuude you gotta do something with that dream, write a book, comic whatever, but its gotta be put down somewhere. That was awesome dream, I could see it playing out in my own head, I was so immersed I wanted to hear more. I myself have vivid dreams and memories akin to this, I have a photographic memory and am a visual learner, so it really does come alive to me in my own head.
Dude, I love your idea! So the Dups are basically Bioroids? This was a great short story. You should put more thought into it, so much potential.
That dream of yours sounds like a star wars au where the republic won the clone wars and clones were integrated in galactic society and I want it to be real
