Congratulations on finishing the harvest. Job well done. I enjoyed every bit of it. The old equipment does well. I can never get enough of it. Looking forward to see what's next.
Thanks JT, maybe for us non farmers, could you show us how the combine works for taking everything and processing the kernels off the cobs. Keep em coming. I personally like the farming videos as well as the mechanical ones.
Hello from the UK. I'm languishing at home with a fractured neck. But this morning I was pleased to see The Welkers, Brian Brown & JT dropping new videos. Cheered me up no end :)
It was fun to watch. I appreciate observing harvest even if it’s not a yield breaker. As you said if it wasn’t fun you wouldn’t do it. Looking forward to the work on the 1070.
JT, farming is the biggest gamble there is. To continue doing it after a bad year just shows the love and passion for it. I miss it ! There’s always next year. Drink a beer or 12 and enjoy. 👍🏻
Well, iffin farming was easy, and you made millions each year, everyone would be doing it. Fact is, its hard, it's often trying, and it's heart breaking at times. A good year is sometimes rare. But, it's the good times, that always have us looking forward to next year. Cheer JT. You earned it.
It's too bad you never got auto steer out on either of the combines lol. But hey if you ever run across a John Deere 4425 or 4435 combine, buy it. Or at least tell me about it please. Your 4420 is sort of rare but a 25 or 35 is more rare as far as I can tell. Keep up the excellent work!
It’s always a good feeling to get the harvest done , this has been the earliest we have ever got done finished the corn yesterday,I finished planting wheat yesterday also we have lots of help ,It’s good to see the 4420 Gettner done ,sure beats my old 303 Mcormick 🤠
Good Morning J T, Well better luck next year.😅 It's a way of life, more than a money making adventure, 😅 at least that is what someone told me. Love to see that Fluffy is still on the job. You are Blessed my friend. Happy Harvest !😊
not a bad fall JT thanks for all the field videos good to see the c40 getting in the shop. always appreciate your positive attitude, farming can suck sometimes but nice to see that everything is in perspective even when its not great at times!
JT do know the difference beteew dogs and cats. Dogs have owners, cats have staff. In one of my messages (new term for sermon) I referenced Egyptian history and the fact that cats were worship like deities, and they never got over it. You got to love them though, when your having trouble sleeping put one in your lap, get it purring and your out like a light. Best organic sleep aide going. Glad you got all your crops in, the good soy bean haul balanced out the disappointing corn. Looking forward to you getting to the important stuff...playing!!!
You corn crop and soybeans looked better than what in area in NC ,Surry,Stokes counties the crop were awful 2 months of hardly no rain and in the 90's and now almost 5 weeks of dry weather again my lawn care business is coming to a end fast I am lucky I have alot of projects to do last me almost all of November, I wish you all the luck in the world and good health JT can't wait for you to start your Case 1070 tractor its a good project.
Looks like your autosteer is tracking a little to the right..😂😂. But seriously, it’s been fun riding along during harvest..overall I think you had a pretty decent fall. Can’t wait to see what’s next…
Excellent Video JT :) also nice got Soybeans & Corn before Mother Nature gives snow Lol and maybe put some music that birds don't like on boom box radio battery operated with scarecrows do loud boom sounds too like thunderstorms to scare of each ! But glad crops was good year for and not bad year on break downs ! That part on gear shifter had slip in them if remember correctly to ball and easy fix ! Congratulations to keep in high spirits always and idea to try !
Congrats on finishing. I see you got all of our rain this year, sure as heck didn't get it in Tennessee. Luckily that field won't be corn next year. Maybe different ground will yield better. Good luck.
You’re done congratulations job well done, but I know you will have more content for more videos for us to enjoy. Lift that cool pops high cheers to you my friend take care!!
wow the birds ate that much, great to see the black beauty flying back from the grain elevator zooming on the pavement. Well have to pay out on the beers next year when the corn yields better. Great crops though, thanks for the Entertaiment
Never realized you have the Crary big topper on your 4420. My 4420 didn’t do bad this fall. But needs some thin spots patched. Can’t decide what to do. Love to sit in a 9400 next fall
Hey jt i have a kitty to and her name is lucy i think shes the best cat in the world.iknow how you feel about theharvest but look at it this way you got a good yield on the beans.happy holidays from my family to yours.i farmed for 30 years but i loved every minute of it.
@jtsbarnngrill6873 it's same for everyone I think. I just watched 2 UA-cam videos thay have had bad year and the farm next door had field fire. So everyone jumped in to save as much corn for him as they could. That's over there. You may off heard I don't know. This year not bean good. Just glad you didn't come out to bad. Feel sorry for you. It's still loot off money.
Since you have such nice weather will you start your prepping for cover crops or leave fallow until spring? Really enjoy your videos so will be waiting for notification for the next videos, thanks for your time and commentary.
@jtsbarnngrill6873 we should've been done awhile ago but corn silage took longer than normal and then hmcorn said we're ready as well. Concaves were also junk and we were waiting on new ones.
One thing about JDeere they are really proud of there parts need a closing wheel for the drill and 2 by 8 inch flat stock bracket that holds the wheel 58 dollar’s for the wheel and 89 dollars the bracket wow 😮
JT, great job getting ur Corn season done and taken into town. How does ur Machine get the corn off of the Cob?? YEP! Fluffy finally showed-up to Help....
Hi friend you done the birds a we helping start for the winter 😊. Please keep the great work up and please keep the great videos coming friend. From Scotland 😊😊
😁O' Dagnabit..JT. Are fat crows tasty ?🐔 Ya don't even got any leftovers for shine. Thinking about plantin wheat or canolia for spring ? Well at least you got plenty of barley pops cash. great video thanks
I noticed the fuel gauge was stuck at full or a little over that means you have a problem with the sending unit or the wiring but I would start with the unit since I had that issue on my Case 1294 where the connectors for the wires would rot off, the other possibility would be a missing float which I have seen is a common problem due to age so i would replace the unit and see if that changes the problem if it doesn't then check the wiring from the unit to the gauge if the problem still occurs after the unit is replaced I also realized the temperature gauge doesn't work so i guess you might have a bad temperature sending unit 🤠
JT you might consider beans on that field next year, get some nitrogen in the ground. If you have a dairy farm close by see if they would be willing to spread manure on your ground.
I know a guy who used a propane powered "cannon" to help keep birds and critters out of his sweetcorn field. The neighbors might not like it and I don't know how effective they are.
Another great show dude you may think it's boring but I could watch that older equipment all day your show is real and I love that about it
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on finishing the harvest. Job well done. I enjoyed every bit of it. The old equipment does well. I can never get enough of it. Looking forward to see what's next.

That’s enough to scare anything away 😆
That scare the whole neighborhood
That falls under animal cruelty, especially if you added her voice to it. 😪
Yes. But I would attract rats.
These comments did not disappoint 🤣

Well my friend I’m glad for you harvest season is done early, now the real fun begins! Now we can sit back and have a few beers 🍺 together.🍻
Right on! I am ready for some down time! 🍻
Refreshing to see a good looking older combine with a 4 row head like my 4400. Everyone seems to have a 12 row.
Right on! No 12 row stuff here. Maybe 12 foot. 😆
Well, iffin farming was easy, and you made millions each year, everyone would be doing it. Fact is, its hard, it's often trying, and it's heart breaking at times. A good year is sometimes rare. But, it's the good times, that always have us looking forward to next year. Cheer JT. You earned it.

Thanks! Barley pops are on the agenda for sure 👍
Congrats on finishing. I see you got all of our rain this year, sure as heck didn't get it in Tennessee. Luckily that field won't be corn next year. Maybe different ground will yield better. Good luck.

Nice one j.t. well at least you got it all done. Got my fingers crossed you weren't out off pocket to much. Or just broke even. From Andy in uk

Nice job my friend. Have a good day.

Nice one JT enjoy your beer 🍻🍻
Thanks, will do!
Would some drainage ditches help your corn field? Perfect excuse to pick up an old backhoe when your project list gets low.
Wouldn’t hurt any!
I was happy to finally see some corn harvest. So you saved the worst for last 😅. We just finally started beans yesterday. 🙄🙄🙄
Right on! Hope the beans go well!
@jtsbarnngrill6873 we should've been done awhile ago but corn silage took longer than normal and then hmcorn said we're ready as well. Concaves were also junk and we were waiting on new ones.
Good job! My last field this year was garbage too.
That happens lol
Would you ever look for a Massey combine?
I would. There hasn’t been anything close enough to me that I could get a deal on
One thing about JDeere they are really proud of there parts need a closing wheel for the drill and 2 by 8 inch flat stock bracket that holds the wheel 58 dollar’s for the wheel and 89 dollars the bracket wow 😮

Bingo! That was last years battle!
Hi friend you done the birds a we helping start for the winter 😊. Please keep the great work up and please keep the great videos coming friend. From Scotland 😊😊
Thank you, I will
That’s one big bird following you there. Don’t know if it’d be fluffy approved if it comes home with you. 🤔🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍🍻
That big bugger followed me all the way. Fluffy was not impressed lol
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 good thing it isn’t mating season. That bird might be a lot to fight off. 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Not sure if this would work where you farm, but here in northern cali where they grow rice farmers use air cannons to scare off the birds
I have thought about that before
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I remember moving out here and those dam things scared me lol
Could you make a hitch for the combined for a small trailer to pull your 4 wheel to the field with you
I have one actually, but since this one is right next door I just walked it lol
JT are you going to have beans in that field next year or something else?
Yep, it’ll be beans
😁O' Dagnabit..JT. Are fat crows tasty ?🐔 Ya don't even got any leftovers for shine. Thinking about plantin wheat or canolia for spring ? Well at least you got plenty of barley pops cash. great video thanks

I think the speedometer is the only one that works lol
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 seems like it to me as well but you could do those repairs when you're done with the harvesting or you wait until winter 🤠
Nice video despite the poor yields. Locally, I think some of the Becks varieties have better husk protection from birds.
Appreciate it!
So with all the nice weather are you going to do some feild work
Yes. Have been doing quite a bit off camera
Were you going to plant any winter wheat?
I have some, but not going to plant this field to wheat
JT you might consider beans on that field next year, get some nitrogen in the ground. If you have a dairy farm close by see if they would be willing to spread manure on your ground.
Yes! It is going to be beans this spring
Well done jt
I really enjoy the show
Thanks!
I know a guy who used a propane powered "cannon" to help keep birds and critters out of his sweetcorn field. The neighbors might not like it and I don't know how effective they are.
Right on
Ears coming in the head looked good, maybe try rice on that one next year.
Might have to 😆
