Great to see you back on the LS3 Defender Project, body alignment is looking fantastic even better than when good old Land Rover originally built her. Sorry to hear that Sasha is not firing on all cylinders, fingers crossed the Vet is able to sort her out 🤞Looking forward to your next video. 😎👍
That is the goal on the body haha. Hopefully we get her all sorted, she's obviously going to be a bit slower with age but she is just kind of uncomfortable right now so we'll get that figured out.
Exactly, that’s all the more reason to have spare vehicles around as far as I’m concerned haha. Yeah, hopefully everything ends up ok with Sasha, she’s getting up there in the years but her jobs not done yet around here.
Where having our defender fitted with new suspension, drive shaft, exhaust and 100 other things in a major renovation project, wish we could some of it ourselves like you do, but we don’t have your skills, or Sasha as supervisor! Great video once again, thanks.
Sasha is the real MVP around here, nothing would get accomplished without her. But no I am fortunate to have the spot, tools and just enough experience to get myself into trouble. Sure is fun though. Appreciate you following along, makes it all more fun to do.
I’ll have some info on what I do with it in one of the future videos. I currently have it aired up and functioning for the most part but need to play with the left rear sensor yet.
Poor Sasha, I hope it isn't serious. A trouble free and Rover just makes you worry about what will break next. At least with a broken one you aren't worrying anymore 🥴
We shall see today, dropped her off this morning so they can x ray her. They did some bloodwork the other day. And great point in the broken rovers. At least we know haha. That is why spare one’s are nice.
Joe drops screw. "Hand quit working." Me (shocked Pikachu face) "You suffer from that too?" Floorpan templates have some 'subliminal messaging' going on.... Working on a project you want to do is almost always interrupted by another object throwing a toddler-esque fit like it's wanting candy in the checkout line. I have an old metal desk as shop furniture as well. It is my workbench and holds a bench grinder on one side and a large vise on the other.
Have to love when the signal from the brain to the hand short circuits haha. Glad it’s not just me. They are a bit like kids, apparently the LR4 felt it wasn’t getting enough attention lately.
Would you say the air ride design of the LR4 is more reliable than the P38? Just an FYI but LRDIRECT was always my goto for parts. Importing them was so much cheaper than buying from a US distributor.
That is a fairly good possibility with all the wildlife being out here in the woods. They like to try and get in the house so I don't see why not the LR4 as well.
At highway it is actually fairly reasonable. Doesn't disturb talking or anything while cruising at speed. It really has a growl/snap to it on the cold start. While moving it is really only loud under decent acceleration. But if I were to do it again I would probably leave one of the two center muffler/resonators in and only delete one.
The reliability would be better with coils, but I really do like the ride/adjustablity and load leveling of the air. I feel that is part of what makes the LR4 great. The coils won't deflate and leave you stuck though haha, so there is that.
Hope Sasha is doing better, Fur babies make your life so enlighten unless they think there the boss lol. Land Rovers and sensors hahahaha WHYYYYYY they go bad so easy lol.
She is definitely the boss, but I’m alright with that someone has to be haha. A Land Rover that just worked all the time would be a dull experience haha.

@@LostCauseRanch Hope they manage to get her sorted and back to her former self. 🤞
Such is life, Joe.
And best wishes to Site Supervisor, Sasha! I hope she feels better soon.

LETS TAKE THIS BABY FOR A RIDE ..............
Soon. Hopefully soon haha.

I'd love to see a video where you troubleshoot your ride height sensors 🙂

my favourite job hanging defender doors even worse when they have glass in etc
Yes, the bare doors do make it much less awkward.
Poor Sasha, I hope it isn't serious.

The desk is beefy. I’m a fan of those tanker style desks. I bet it makes a pretty solid workbench for not a ton of money.
My dad, an electronic technician by trade, called that technique "Easter egging". You just swap stuff til you find the fix.
I always just referred to it as throwing parts at it. I like easter egging much better. Might have to add that to the arsenal haha.
I think the LT95 was the widest transmission.
Appreciate the info.

Just an FYI but LRDIRECT was always my goto for parts. Importing them was so much cheaper than buying from a US distributor.
In my experience it is much better in the LR4.
Appreciate the info on the LRdirect.
you forgot to add gaskets take it all apart again lol,r380 is widest although i have a tdci tunnel in mine
Damn, I guess I'll start over haha.
My guess is squirrels or mice have been at the LR4

Auto is definitely bigger than the r380
Appreciate that, I figured that may have been the case. But I have never had an auto Defender.
How loud is the LR4 from the inside? or at highway speeds and you've got the windows up?

And in my experience, Land Rovers are the only vehicles that will break when not in use.........
They tend to do that don't they?
Would it be an advantage to add coil overs vs air suspension on LR3/4?
The reliability would be better with coils, but I really do like the ride/adjustablity and load leveling of the air. I feel that is part of what makes the LR4 great.
