I caught myself being depressed, angry, mad when I didn't have weed. I felt like I couldn't watch movies or eat food or hang out with my family without smoking. Left the same comment on a different withdrawals video but here it is 😅 I was a chronic user from the moment I got out of bed to the moment I got into bed…was high pretty much 24/7 and when I was sober I didn’t feel “normal” when I didn’t smoke I felt ugly n got sick… but now I’m almost 2 weeks sober, I had it all, night sweats/cold sweats, insomnia, stomach problems, couldn’t really eat the first few days, light headed, headaches, vivid dream that honestly felt so real, my anxiety was through the roof I could feel my chest started to pound when I felt the need to smoke or relax 😅 I was getting mad at everything, feeling depressed and overwhelmed by little things that weed and being high helped me cope with. I honestly almost gave up the day I am writing this Nov 2 but I powered through it. Everyone going through this just remember it doesn’t last forever even thou you feel like you might pass out or “die” but never gets to that point it’s your body and mind trying to convince you to get your fix because you made it so accustom to being high. It’s your body detoxing the thc and cbd from itself. Just give it time we all got this 👌☺️

Been smoking for 17 yrs I’m 30. Biggest tip I can say to quit smoking is everyone is different be happy with small wins and don’t put a lot of pressure on yourself. Make a schedule or plan and slowly decrease use gradually!! I was a heavy heavy smoker 8-10 blunts a day cut back to 5 then 3. Now just once before bed to help relax and watch shows. No appetite whatsoever

Throwing up after every meal that I could eat
So on January 3rd I quit it and now my sleeping is better
I feel like doing more productive activities and I feel less stressed and tired
The only issue is that my appetite didn’t return and I am always hungry but whenever I make anything I can’t eat it all just a small amount of
Say I make a bowl of cereal I used to be able to eat 2 bowls in one sitting now it’s half a bowl before i get sick

I wish more people would talk about how it’s actually way longer than just a couple days of withdrawal. For people who smoked heavy and for long-term, withdrawal can last a couple weeks to even months… and they can get pretty bad. Everything from extreme insomnia, extreme diarrhea, nausea, mood issues, depression, paranoia, hot and cold sweats. I don’t think most doctors or people truly know the length or extent but it’s definitely more than just a few days and everyone is different.

Hi, I’m curious how you’re doing? I’ve decided to stop smoking after 55 years. Yep. I’m going on 71 years and i started at 16 in the 60’s. Been wanting to quit for a few years now, just didn’t know how, or think I could. I recently caught bronchitis and wasn’t able to vape at all or smoke w/o making that intense coughing so much worse. So I didn’t, now it’s been 7 or 8 or days? since I last had a puff, and I’m so irritable, insomnia, nightmares, sweating, loose stool, headache, thankfully no vomiting, and i wasn’t smoking a lot anymore just a few puffs in the evening, to help unwind and sleep, but never took a break. At least not since the early 90’s, and once in the 80’s.
Weed helped me cope, with everything!!! I REALLY want to see what life is like not under the influence. I’m wondering if I have a mental disorder, adhd? Or ?? Sorry this has gotten so long. I chose you since you’re a recent post here. Thanks for any advice.

Idk man, I have ridiculously strong "will power" what my buddies call it. Not really, like not at all, I'm completely a gluten and I will enjoy what I wanna in joy, but when it comes to quitting something addictive, never been a problem, don't get me wrong I definitely feel the withdrawals, same thing with smoking cigarettes, that actually had cravings to it. Like kept getting the feeling that I need a cigarette, I kept my pack on my night stand, and just didn't physically move towards it. It's that simple, you can have all the cravings you want, it still requires you to physically grab it and smoke it. Just don't. Idk why that's mind blowing, you eventually lose the cravings so what's the point?? I take 1-3 month long breaks from weed every few months of smoking, when I notice a whole gram of dab doesn't last me a day anymore lmao. I love the experience of the weed withdrawal actually, I weaponize it. I get the symptoms he's stalking about, but also a small amount of generalized anxiety for a week, but I also get super restless and my brain is racing for like 5 days! You have any idea how many things of taught myself during those periods?? That's my excessive cardio week too! The ridiculous boost of absolute restlessness is wild. I love weed man, I love running lightly high, I love working out and taking my time feeling the muscles, I love going on hikes, reading books, listening to lectures, talks, or simply enjoying the hell out of music. Getting out of the military was a bit rough the first 6 months, losing all your homies in one day is ass. But eventually I discovered weed and never looked back sense lmao. Of course I have priorities and I'm not just doing to work high, or doing my college courses high. But my free time is mine to live out ya know? Stay safe and warm yall ❤

I think more often than strange dreams, it's just dream recall. People start remembering their dreams when they quit, which they would not have remembered if they were ingesting. Dreams are just strange. In fact, that's the loophole dreams give us that lucid exploit to achieve otherwise very difficult feats that can sometimes be yogic in nature (conscious control over normally unconscious faculties). It's just like how some people remember their dreams in black and white. The dream wasn't black and white, that's just how their brain remembers the remnants of their dreams that it is able to hold on to. I want to see more people use it as an occasional reward for having lucid dreams, and to reset their dream recall after the lapse of recall that comes from too much THC. Every time I quit completely after smoking all day, every day, for months, my dream recall is fantastic. Then it normals off, unless I record my dream content every day.

No, many SEEM psychological, but this is an urban myth. Anxiety is from the e do cannabinoid system being disrupted. Cannabis replaces endogenous endocannabinoids such as Anandamide, and then when the drug is taken away, the body has to start making its own endocannabinoid again, and this takes time. These chemicals are responsible for helping to regulate the autonomic nervous system, so when there aren’t enough of them, these processes suffer and we can have withdrawl symptoms until our bodies start to produce enough of these again. Some symptoms may be: insomnia, dizziness, breathlessness, high heart rate, inability to regulate body temperature appropriately (sweating and chills), appetite, and many other functions.

I have a question...Is it normal to have panic attacks when you have withdrawal from Weed? I need to know because every time I stop cold turkey I always have panic attacks. Also when I take too much. Any advice?

I used alcohol to make it through my withdrawl from weed 😂 and then stop drinking as soon as I was done withdrawing, it wasn’t that bad at all tbh, the alcohol kept my appetite and let me sleep, not a lot of alcohol just maybe 2-3 shots a day for a couple weeks, and then I was gooddddd

I don’t know if it’s the withdrawal that does it or the brain just returning to its normal insomniatic ways. Insomnia is the main reason I began using. Ever since my teen years I can rarely sleep over 4 hours in a row, once in about 2 months I get a lucky 8-9 hours in, but normally it’s 3-6 hours, with only one night a week hitting 6. Cannabis changed that for me, 6-8 hours is my normal sleep time, usually 9-10 the night of use. The sleep effects often take three days to wear off, so I don’t use it that often. Except if I get an injury I’ll use it more frequently. I used to to heal a severely sprained ankle very quickly, and also Plantar’s Fasciitis (I had it for 8 months, it was gone about 1 month after I started using cannabis, although I was doing exercises at the same time, with cannabis came the tai chi… yeah…. I’m getting old).

Like everything in life it’s all about balance. I’ve finally got my weed consumption down to where I only smoke once a month at the end of the month when I allow myself to take a break from eating clean and I have a cheat meal. Been doing it since March now and I really like it because I can start the new month off strong, really focus on my diet and training then reward myself for ONE day at the end of the month. It also makes for a really enjoyable smoking experience because after a month of not smoking it’s like getting high for the first time again. Only difference is I’ve built up the discipline to not over indulge in it. I still smoke but I’m no longer a pot head 😂

I'm on day 4 of my sobriety.
    When does it get easier???
I was a heavy smoker (over a dozen times a day, everyday, for about 8 years)
    I'm really struggling.
It feels like the worst flu I've ever had.
I keep reminding myself why I quit, and it motivates me for a little bit, but I feel like it's fleeting. I really don't want to relapse. But when can I expect it to get a little easier?
Did anyone find anything that helped them get through the withdrawals?
    Thanks in advance 💜

@@NuttzersExercise, especially if you relapse, pair smoking with after a good workout and that will reset your endocannabiniod system without straining it.
It will also reinforce reward for effort and the discipline of daily exercise helps greatly in deciding to quit. Eat a healthy diet too, your body needs to replenish neurotransmitters and nutritious foods make highs better and withdrawals more tolerable.

@@fatguy6153 thanks for the advice friend! I appreciate it! Ive tried quitting many times in the past, whether it was slowly cutting back, or using it as a reward like you said, the thing that finally worked for me this time was just quitting cold turkey. And then with cannabis, I did the same, plus got rid of all my paraphernalia as well (bong, pipe, etc) was originally just quitting to reboot my tolerance, but after the detox I went through, I think I may just never go back! A lot of issues I had (breathing, sleeping, stomach ulcer and appetite) have all seemed to disappear since I quit. I learned the hard way that I have an addictive personality, and if I can't smoke like a gentleman in moderation, then it's probably best to just not smoke at all lol
Thanks again for your reply friend!!

yes, cigar will calm you my friend, i was a heavy user back then, and the only way was cigar, not cigarettes. i failed twice before, I've even touched it again after a year of withdrawal, just dont touch that shit ever again, be so committed, u will be fine, and always remeber u will be fine. i would say no longer than two weeks, some only shows withdrawal symptoms for a week

Don’t to be mean and I’m genuinely interested for myself, but does smoking weed all the time make you appear more tired or depressed? To me it seems like a lot of people who smoke a lot of weed or dab a lot have a certain look, almost unhealthy.
