Your very encouraging lol I’m selling up in Qld coming back to Paeroa only 36 c here so I’ll look forward to no a/c in NZ again cheers love your time touring around better than bloody gumtrees lol
I managed to ride a little bit of the park at Mangamahoe back in February, aspects of it reminded me of the Redwood forest in Rotorua so it’s definitely worth the trip up from wangas. Glad I’ve learnt about some more interesting places back home, thanks Paul.
Great video, love ya fitness. Its interesting you like the mtb park as we think its the worst park around, dangerous and not a lot of work gets done on it. Its also one of the wettest areas around which makes clay dangerous.
@@azzanaki6368 Yeah. I know what you mean about the clay. I do err towards a bit of riding to the conditions and skill level, but that’s another conversation. What I liked is it’s so much better marked than many other trails, making it flow better.
@smiles_per_hr6408 didn't mean to sound like a dick lol We mostly ride in middle of the north island for the clay and pumice in bike parks , seriously grippy even in the wet . We only ever hit clay parks that haven't seen rain for a couple of days . Stay healthy and fit mate.
@azzanaki6368 you’re all good, I felt the same mate 😅 Thought, I hope im not coming across with “we die like men” vibes 🤣 The all weather tracks are great from a maintenance perspective and also the year round riding. I don’t ride parks much now as they all make me realise how much confidence I’ve lost over the years due to injury, and now it’s easier/safer to push personal boundaries in other areas of riding.

@@muzza566 haha. Many have tried to encourage me over there in years gone by. Visited once 22 years ago, never been back 😂
Love this place too much!

@@jonmarshall1502 it’s absolutely worth the trip, isn’t it. Next time I might try to ride the new trail they’ve been building from town out to it.
@ oh that’s news to me. Have to keep an eye open for developments about that.
@@jonmarshall1502 not sure how much is purpose built, but I know there is a bit from Burgess Hill through meeting of the waters.
