Hi, welcome back to UA Technical solutions this is the part 8 of LG vrf multi v 5 series training course,
In this video it is explained how to replace an indoor unit pcb and configure the address for it to be recognized and communicate with the outdoor unit. Please note if you have replaced the indoor pcb board without the addressing configuration then indoor unit wont communicate with the outdoor.
After replacing the indoor pcb make sure all the indoors have power. You should know the total number of indoor units installed. Make sure all indoor unit are set to off mode from wired controller and remote control.
Then go to the outdoor unit and press the reset button sw01d
System will restart and perform auto testing for at least 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes press the red button sw01c for 5 seconds then release it once 88 shows on display.
Now auto addressing function is activated and outdoor unit will search all the connected indoors, this process can take 3 to 7 minutes, after it will flash numbers for 30 seconds, these numbers are the total indoor units it was able to detect. If the total known number of indoors match with the number shown on the screen it means the addressing is completed.
