I'm not a very religious person at all, but this song means a lot to me. I feel like i'm sometimes unnaturally caring, and put too much of myself into making someone else happier, and when its never returned, or ignored, this song is how i feel.

I'm agnostic, but Demon Hunter was my gateway to Metal, Hardcore, and even Punk. Religious or not, they are the reason why I go to shows and why I'm very much involved in both Metal and Hardcore scenes. They have made my life a lot better than it could have been, and I have that to thank them for.

It helps to remember that things will get better eventually. If you’re dead, you lose all opportunities for literally everything. If you press on, the sun comes back up sooner or later. It’s so easy to get fixated on the darkness in the moment, and that makes it hard to be optimistic. Most of the time it really does suck, but that means you just need to trudge through it. Try talking about it with friends and family. It’s a really hard thing to do, since it feels like you’re leaving yourself open, but it might help.
people says that heavy metal is shit, the singers just scream like demons or even dogs and they think that this wonderful music isn't it , music, but you know what? this is a prove to those of them who think like that, heavy metal is more than music you bastards it is sentiment. Really got chills when i hear songs like this because of the skill that this singer have, if you listen the song someone to hate and then you hear this you'll never think it is the same band... What a wondeful music..
Not sure which version I like more...this or the original...I like the sound of the acoustic and the lack of the distortion...that always makes me think it's a bad recording...lol. However, I like the chorus on the CD version more...I do realize that it is probably hard to recreate that acoustically though. Still rocks!

My former best friend ruined my life. He drove my family apart and my mom fell in love with him and ruined my parents marriage, and this song is all that's really kept me alive at this point
Remember to never give up. Pain can last a long time, but if you give in, pain wins. Hope can be hard to find. Most of the time hope hurts because there’s a chance that believing in it will backfire.. No matter how much pain, no matter how many tears, if you keep trudging forward with everything you’ve got, you’ll slowly get away from darkness. I’ve found that focusing on just surviving the day, or making it a good day is a good approach, and it’s easier said than done. In times like this, everything is hard, and it’s hard to even think that anything is worth doing. Some things will never heal, or come back.. But finding new light is always worthwhile. Im sorry if this doesn’t help much.. I thought it was worth a shot. This is one of my favorite versions of the song, probably the most tear-jerking version. Especially when Ryan hums for a bit at the end.. That always hits me like a truck full of bricks.
