FYI, if you're ever interested in an easy on, easy off top-box solution, take a look at BRE (Back Road Equipment) Slider Rack. It uses a cool, 4-puck keyhole mount design. I have one on my KLR 650 and Vstrom 650XT. I can easily move my SKB cases back and forth between the two bikes. Pretty much anything you can put the pucks on, you can mount to the tail rack.
