∆ max crit and cdmg rolls are 3.2% and 6.4% respectively but aiming for 60% crit 120% cdmg is still correct, u can aim higher obviously
∆ Debuff Chance : Base Chance * ( 1 + Effect Hit ) * ( 1 - Effect Res ) * ( 1 - Debuff Res )

Please check your section on Effect hit rate. You are saying it's additive but multiple sources have been saying it's multiplicative which is a pretty significant difference.. Not sure who is more right.
Does effect hit rate helps with the status effect caused by breaking enemies?
@@Djeeoo1 No effect hit rate raises the chances of character's abilities to apply the debuff in their kit (freeze/slow). What you are thinking is break effect which takes place after breaking the enemies toughness. The higher the break effect, the more damage the weakness break will do, and the longer the slow from quantum and imaginary
If you're using the Hunt characters i think more rate Is Better since you really wanna crit that single target burst with the ultimate

i wished mr code actually explained the speed stat
That's an entire video of its own, to be honest. It's not straightforward.
@@effortlessfury oh, i didn't know that. the only experience i have with speed stat is with smt:desu and i didn't really get it back then. so im next to clueless 🥲
It's kinda like this i think we all know speed determines who goes first, etc. and the way the game determines this is through action value. Action value is basically the indicator that tells you who goes first/last and the lower it is the sooner a character acts. This effect can be boosted by spd and also through actions like attacking etc. Every turn this effect will be multiplied and this also determines if your character will take action 2 times per turn. The way the game determines this is if you have a 100+ difference of action value between the enemy and you can see this if you activate it on the settings. Now you might see some numbers and you're confused on what it means well it's basically showing the difference of action value between the one at the top and the ones below it and you can see the lower the difference is the sooner they go and you can also see how much action value difference you have with your opponent and again if the difference exceeds 100 or is at a 100 you will take a turn earlier than them. I'm kinda bad at explaining but I hope it helps
Spd determines who goes first.
For example:
• if you want your support to go first you build spd.
• if you want your dps to go last, you avoid spd from relics.
Total SPD calculation is: Base SPD stat x (100% + SPD buff%) + Flat SPD buff
Action Value is: 10000/Total SPD
Lowest AV unit goes first. AV gets reset to 10k/current total SPD after acting.
Enemies have a base SPD, and the base SPD gains a multiplier at certain lvls. Lvl 65-77 is a 1.1x multiplier, lvl 78-85 is a 1.2x multiplier, and lvl 86+ is a 1.32x multiplier. You can check the honkai fandom wiki for all the enemies base spd stat.
The game doesnt explain AV well.
Fun fact: if Seele cast ultimate during resurgence, it won't count as a turn and the resurgence from the ultimate won't also count as a turn making her able to utilize 1 Bronya's buff for 4 turns(if you count ultimate as a turn).
Also, if you do this, try to ult first because it gives you her buff increasing the damage of all actions as opposed to having to kill something first to get the buff (1st action doesn't get buffed)
@@cyanide5689 True, just watch Grimro vid on improving her dps. It got dps increase about 9% bcus some reason her buffed state retain for extra turn(the turn after her actual turn)
if u read seele's ult clearly you'll see she will activate her talent right when you cast it, so doesn't need to kill first
The only thing working differently is damage amplification (target takes +X% dmg) on the target. It is a separate multiplier here, instead of being additive with dmg bonus, like in Genshin
What would Code's formula look like with that added in then? I'm smooth brain
@@DiamonDust the formula times (1+dmgAMP%/100%) (so we get a decimal). Also there's break's damage amp (broken targets in general take +10% more damage). Idk how that adds up with other amps, I'd assume it's additive.
@@heiwanushiyasuda9092 Thanks! I believe I understand.
Follow up attacks are just attacks that characters do that you have no control of and that basically come out of nowhere. For an example Seele and Bronya, for Seele in her Resurgence you still have full control on what enemy to hit and if she either uses a skill or basic attack, and Bronya you make a character be able to act and set character you have full control of what they do (either skill pr basic attack) same things with Ultimates, you have full control on what enemy to hit. Follow up attacks follow up with the action/attack that was made.
So Seele and Bronya are examples of what NOT a follow up attack is. Gotcha 👌
I love your videos because I love HSR but also your vtuber models are hypnotic can't stop lookong at them
thank god, i was about to looking for the state explanation THANK U!
Thanks for the info, I really didn't go over the Stat Details and assumed that Break Effect helped with breaking toughness quicker didn't know it just used the damage which seems ok I guess.
9:55 this is it, the exact numbers on energy regen is what I was looking for the most. sweet.
I love you so much, i swear I was smiling and actually paying attention the whole video, thank you so much
Thank you for this! I think you are the only person in UA-cam that i trust about this game, because your explanation are very detailed but also easy to understand
This video was perfect, I love the easy to understand math breakdown. I knew all of this stuff generally from Genshin, but seeing the actual formulas especially with ATK vs DMG% vs CRIT% gave me a much deeper understanding of what to prioritize. I also appreciate knowing when those "fall off". Also my dumb ass did not realize that effect rate calulation was simple addition and subtraction, that helps a lot to know. Same with the speed and turn mechanic, it's nice to know the system better.
Energy regen 2 piece set seemed low at 5%, but after giving it some thought. It pushes you over some thresholds when in combination with certain light cones and energy rope (which max out 19.44%). So if you have that set, you go from 1/5 to 1/4 if you have energy rope. If you have Bronya's lightcone too, you go from 1/4 to 1/3. In genshin, it wouldn't matter so much, but it is a turn based game it could mean the difference between having youre ult or being at 99% until your next turn.
Please explain dmg dealt and damage taken to allies
Is there something specific you wish to know? Broadly speaking, damage dealt is a damage multiplier that increases your character's damage to an enemy. Damage taken by allies is a percentage multiplier that reduces incoming damage from enemies to your team.
Thanks, but i already got it, the website that explains dmg calculations
And what i found is the "dmg taken%" it's little more value its about 1.01519756839 higher than dmg dealt or "dmg multiplier%"
Sum : almost 1:1

Thanks so much for this explanation! I play Genshin, and I never thought about crit damage being not as impactful when it’s above 180
Yeah, I don't have Bronya, but you can still cheat Seele's talent by making her go 4 times (if you wanna count her Ult as a turn) but it requires enemies to be at low health, and her talent can just be triggered at ANY action, not just on her turn, trust me, I learned the hard way when I was in the late stage of the story quest
Edit: Freeze can also force an enemy to loose a turn WITH them being broken
tf u mean at any action?
@@ch1mkenn Like ANY turn of an enemy's action if that's to clarify
@@drewboy4569 ahh makes sense
I didn't realize how fast you edit videos from your streams. First time catching your stream yesterday, and suddenly the video is live wow
With break effect you will also deal a lot of break damage like with my sushang with 100%break effect I do 14000 damage which is good but you need to consider that you need to break the resistance of the enemy faster and sometimes it takes too long to do does damage so I will still recommend u to get like 50 crit rate or more and get like 100-150break effect so like that you can still balance the damage because you don’t need that much break effect and crit damage and to be honest break effect is not good for every element it’s for physical and fire character like Mc,hook and sushang but the other dps character build them with cr or cd just a little tip :)

based Digimon World 3 OST. They need to remaster it and just keep the soundtrack as is, rework the combat system maybe. Extremely niche and I had to pause cause I thought I had my other playlist tabbed when I heard your BGM for this video. Earned a sub from me, came from Tectone
I'm not sure which info is correct, but according to wiki effect resistance/chance formula is Real Effect Chance = Base Effect Change * (1 + Effect Hit Rate) * (1 - Effect Resistance) * (1 - Debuff Resistance). Meaning that in example used in the video (base chance 65%, Effect Hit Rate 50% and Effect Resistance 70%) Real Effect Change would be not 45% but 29.25%. And someone like Cocolia with 100% freeze resistance can't be freezed at all unless you decrease her freeze resistance. And even then it would be very hard.
I am assuming he is incorrect, I don't believe that the wiki could be wrong.
Nice video!! ❤❤
Honestly such good videos on explaining the game mechanica. And yes. I don’t read.
The action count is NOT a percentage. Breaking is also NOT a flat -35, as you said (in your previous video).
Speed is much more complicated than that.
Any time someone wants to act, it takes 10,000 points before they get initiative. Speed decides how much points you get in one tick. This means that someone with 103 speed needs 10000/103=97 ticks and someone with 93 speed needs 10000/93=107 ticks. If the 103 speed's unit then has its turn, you should see 10 on the tick counter on the portrait of the other unit in the Action Order.
A break sets someone back by 2500 points from where they are. On one of those orb units in Herta Space Ship, it equals 30 ticks. On one of those abyss lector-like units, it equals 38 steps. This is because the speed of the lector is much faster, so 1 tick is a lot more points.
Look up the explanation "This is how speed works" by SteamedBunX on youtube if you want it explained with visuals.
What this concretely means is that, in a battle with 7 turns, someone with 108 speed gets 1 more action compared to someone with 92.
Dan Heng with 110 gets 8.25 actions, Asta with 106 gets 7.95 actions, Hook with 94 gets 7.05 actions, Gepard with 92 gets 6.9 actions.
SteamedBunx used the comparison to a track race. 10000 would be the amount of meters and the "ticks" I refer to would be the steps each athlete needs to take to reach the finish line. Speed is how long someone's legs are. Someone with longer legs needs less steps to reach 10000 meter.

Question. Does Defense Shred affect Dissociation damage in Simulated Universe?
I’ve been curious about how mutli hit attacks work. I learned(haven’t actually seen it myself) that in the case of Sushangs light cone, hitting an enemy with a multi hit attack applies multiple stacks of the lightcone. So it brings me to question if the same applies when it comes to gaining bonuses for hitting enemies that meet specific Hp threshold requirements, such as Hertas Hunt cone. If I use a 3 hit attacks against an enemy where the first hit reduced the targets Hp to 50%, do the next two hits benefit from the light cone? Or does it snapshot from the start of the skill? Same with Seeles E1. What if the first hit of her skill brings the enemy under 80% hp? Do the next hits benefit from the crit rate?
They do, atleast for seele as I used her in SU with the e1 curio
super informative
Thank you!
Honestly, good video. I understood most of it beforehand, but I do find it hard to determine which character needs which stats, which stats are ok until you get something better and maybe even sometimes, which they don't need.
For example, I've only just started artifact running though im at trailblaze 60-something with 2 lvl 80 characters now. Jingliu is a DPS, so she wants atk and crit. I also saw speed is good for her.
But since speed determines turn order and such, isnt speed good for literally everyone?
And break effect also increases damage, so is that good for a dps like her, or is that just a decent-until-you-get-better stat?
And how about effect resistance? If she can resist debuffs, it will save you turns. But you can focus less on damage.. so.. probably not good? How about effect resistance for a support like Fu Xuan or Tingyun, or Lynx then?
There's just so many stats in this game it's hard to pick and almost all artifacts I pick up only have either atk or cdmg or cr and not 2 or all 3 >.< making it very hard to pick what to use.
Also, is it me being unlucky, or is there no chance to get 2x or 5x exp bonus to trigger when you level up relics? Like in Genshin. I don't think I have seen it happen even once.
Thanks, master
It's almost 2 AM, I don't know English and I'm terrible at math... I guess I'll watch it again tomorrow and I'll read the game info 💀

HSRs dmg calculation is kinda similar(I'd say almost exact) to HIs
The stat that affects Weakness Break damage to poise is Weakness Break Efficiency which can only be increased by Simulated World Blessing so far. This is a hidden stat

@@thechosen0ne1 his chat controls his models through channel points, so yeah that's why he's using a female model lol
I know its been a while since this video been upload but I have 1 question for you good code sir. What stats is corresponding with breakeffect damage and Dot damage from that break effect? for example, if I build fire MC (which is def damage scalling) with break effect stats, does the break effect and dot from break damage scale with fire MC def? or it scale based off entirely different stats?cause if it scale on def, unit like march and gepard also benefit from it cause their basic attack damage is so bad, and break effect build on non att% scale unit seems possible.
I’m happy I invested in my Seele so much that I have 50/150 crit crit dmg ratio and I have 2k attack and Tingyun makes energy recharge no problem so my girl does 30-50k dmg with ult
This is simple enough. In FGO there is another modifier that is rng modifier basically it is a value of. 0.7 to 1.2 to the total. Which depends on your luck.

I love how you talk to your viewers here like they're stupid. That's so fun. ☺
Compared to genshin we need to consider that we have more ATK than genshin, for exemple Xiao has 349 at lvl 90 and Himeko has around 750 ATK so it can be really good and light cone too like those who gave Atk% bonus (for early game our ATK is trash) BUT for exemple character who have DoT damage like Himeko, Sampoo or Kafka can be good cuz DoT damage come from your ATK. However light cone with DmG % are still better I think but that means the game is not very strategic cuz Seele goes boom and that's it, so yeah... shame
oh thats why i feel like my seele regens more than my natasha despite the fact that natasha's ult has a lesser cost.. cause seele kills everyone and so gains energy that way lol
Seele is cool, have speed, regen faster, multi turn.
