Uchiha Itachi Words || The Clan

Well there is no doubt that Uchiha Itachi was a genius of the greatest quality and a warrior of extreme caliber and above all - a brother with unending love.
A person who was born into a time when the upper administration of the Village of Konoha and the Uchiha clan were at loggerheads and the Uchiha clan planning a coupe d'etat against the village. A person of innate skill and talent, Itachi was recruited into the Anbu and was ordered to keep an eye on the movements of the Uchiha clan. On the other side he was also obliged to be faithful to his clan.
Imagine a boy in his mere teens shouldering that kind of a burden.
You could easily say that he was successful in fulfilling all his duties.
Moving on when Lord Danzo wishes to end the cold war between the Uchiha and the village, orders him to slaughter the entire Uchiha clan - HIS clan, imagine someone asking you to murder your entire family, how much can you take in ?
Think ! But Itachi being an individual of admirable intellect, at such a young age he could see, judge and make an unbiased decision.
The relationship between the village and one its most influential clans teetered on the brink of Itachi's decision.
He no doubt loved his clan, but more than anything else, he had inherited the will of fire and held views similar to the First Hokage. He believed in the unification of Konoha, and his love for his village outweighed his longing for his clan and most importantly his parents and Uchiha Sasuke - his younger brother whom Itachi loved beyond his own life.
He was able to make that decision, THE decision that would change the fate of the entire generation of shinobi. Wiping out the Uchiha, the sharingan, his clan, his family, his brother.
He always believed in the greater good.Even then, on the day of the killing, he couldn't being himself to kill his brother Sasuke.
Along with Uchiha Obito (Tobi), he slaughtered his entire clan, and with the pain of a thousand swords stabbed into his heart, he killed his own parents. (Although his parents knew about the orders Itachi was following) and only sparing Sasuke, the entire clan was wiped out.
For the good of the village and for the love of his brother, he was ready to become a traitor in the eyes of the entire world. To stop the entire village from being destroyed by the war that would result if the Uchiha retaliated.
I think accomplishing all this and planning his death by the hands of his own younger brother so that Sasuke would not discover the bitter truth of his elder brother's life and not gold any grudges against Konoha, all this is more than enough to state that Itachi is the greatest genius who has ever graced the world of shinobi.
