How can you tell he did a Universal overhead? What if he just jumped? Please enlighten me.
@@GentlemanQ parrying locks you to the ground for a certain amount of time + pre-jump frames means that you’ll be hit by the next hit of aegis before you can jump out.
Universal overhead gets off the ground before the next hit of aegis connects so it does not have this problem.
@@Guru3s makes sense. I didn't know parrying locks you to neutral. Yomoda really thought this well in such a tight timing.
His crouch HK is also plus on block because why the heck not

I’m someone who recently started playing 3s as my first fighting game. (Only console is switch so no SF6 and no PC)
Dudley was the main I chose because I love his style and Smug is my favorite person in the FGC.
Seeing great Dudley play is always fun.
Dudley is a very good character, people just get confused because he's not well rounded like a Ken or Yang.

2:50 He probably did do the aegis, the thing is when you delay cancelling the aegis sometimes it just doesn't come out its not 100% consistent. And RB always delay cancel the aegis from a tackle (its not a confirm btw).
Oh you can actually see the tackle aegis he did right after that is delay canceled too
Only other Urien players can appreciate the wizardry in getting tackle -> headbutt in the corner like that at 2:17

Maybe the worst matchup for Urien? at least with someone like Yun he had more chance to punish jumps with fireball into tackles but Dudleys is so low that becomes hard,

Urien kinda struggles against Akuma, his tatsus always hit him even when he's crouching and he can't punish heavy tatsu.
Akuma can also teleport outta Aegis.
On Urien's defense, he can TOD Akuma if he hits a heavy fireball lol
