Which of these interview questions made you cringe the most?
@Phoebe - WatchMojo - You mispronounced Mayim Bialik's first name. It's MAH-YIM.
Anything with Krishnan Guru-Murthy, the man who both interviewed Quentin Tarantino and Robert Downey Jr. without any rapport whatsoever. He seems like a man who revels in the smell of his own farts...
Eisenberg acted like a douche. The questions were bad, but there's much better ways of handling those than trying to be edgy and making everyone's cringe
Jerry Penacoli's name is now synonymous with sexist creep. Every time I see this guy now, I get the heebie jeebies.
Tom Hardy scratching himself the whole time.....
Didn't Rober Downey Jr walk out from that guy's interview who interviewed Tarantino in this video 😂 What a great interviewer lmao
Krishna Guru-Murphy is a clown. And yes, Robert did famously walk out of an interview with him because he was there promoting a Marvel movie and the interviewer started asking him about his drug-taking past and his father. For...some reason.
The guy was a proper wanker here, so he did the same to RDJ?
So he's the one that's responsible for RDJ reluctance to interviews
He also interviewed Michel Jackson
Its all about ratings.
Was the interviewer who asked about Scar-Jo’s underwear the same one who asked the Catwoman question??
Yes lol
He's wondering if he'll be able to wear his underwear while wearing a Catsuit. Duh! He's wants to be a real life superheroine!
Smarks Killed Rasslin yeah I’m starting to get that idea with all those questions he was asking about women
CREEP ALERT
BECAUSE HE’S A CREEPY PERV
I never get tired of the way Anne Hathaway asked him about the catsuit in that tone 😂👍🏽
LOL, that Matt Damon interview was epic! I mean you attack teachers when his teacher mom is right next to him? The interviewer got what she deserved
I would shake his hand right there. What an amazing answer.
He destroyed her lol
Gave me that Good will hunting feeling LOL!
@@grizzlybanker9568 how do you like them apples, Mr shitty cameraman :D
Jim Carrey's not wrong about the fashion industry. At all.
I'd agree. Sure, fashion shows can be cool, but they're pretty pointless, considering half the outfits look like they got pulled from the scrap pile and stapled together.
He really went just to shit on how pointless it was 😂 love that concept
If you watch the cara Delevingne interview, her attitude came from the interviewers treating her like she's stupid. The beginning of the interview they asked her if she has ever read a book
Y'all forgot when Mila Kunis took down a Russian reporter - in Russian.
Donna Dieter omg that was the best!!
@Tyler Robbins Yes, she did. There is a video of it.
Nope Nope Because it is lol
@Nope Nope as someone who speaks 3 languages fluently, I can confirm that it is badass
@Nope Nope literally anyone from Ukraine is AT LEAST bilingual, considering russian language was forced on Ukrainians (including her family), despite having everybody knowing Ukrainian language, plus their native if they're a minority like Crimean Tatars or Jews (like Kunis family), plus learning English, and sometimes other foreign languages in school.
#10 - Jesse Eisenberg...00:51
#09 - Quentin Tarantino...01:53
#08 - Anne Hathaway...03:03
#07 - Mayim Bialik...04:05
#06 - Cara Delevingne ...05:08
#05 - Matt Damon...06:00
#04 - Jim Carrey...07:12
NUMBER 3 - Jerry Seinfeld...08:22
NUMBER 2 - Tom Hardy...09:18
NUMBER 1 - Joaquin Phoenix...11:36
0:58 Since when did the idea of saying a celebrity’s last name come off as unappreciative? It’s still a part of Morgan Freeman’s name.
@@arcticangel1628 Exactly. Eisenberg came across really badly in that clip. That said, I haven't seen the entire interview, so perhaps she had previously said something to annoy him.
"Do you find it hard for celebrities to talk about their sexuality?"
What a ridiculously stupid question. He should have fired back with "i don't know, _do you_ find it hard for reporters to talk about _theirs?_
Exactly. No reason to ask this type of out-of-place, ridiculous question except to use it as a primer to then start prying into the actor's sexuality. Which of course is what reporters should be focusing on at a film festival panel. Ugh.
First I will educate you on the importance of political correctness. Then, I will break you...
@@professorswaggamuffin7572 its a reference to tom hardy's bane character bro.
@@stephengrigg5988 ahh makes sense. Thx
@Baba Yaga what are you on about?
Oh when Rihanna answered “I’m not looking for a man, let’s start with that” was perfection
The Scarlett Johanson interview shouldn't have been just a mention, I mean that was a really pervy thing to ask, hats off to her for shutting his creepy ass down.
It’s the same guy who asked Anne Hathaway about her cat suit in Dark Knight Rises.
I know, man, Extra was on a role that day, huh?
She was a lot nicer than I would have been.
It's only perverted if you make it perverted. I'd like to know, simply because I would be interested in the logistics. Same with the batsuit. Has nothing to do with anything sexual.
@@wrydrune why is it then that only women are being asked these kinds of questions? Logistics my ass
Stupid questions deserve stupid answers
Not if you're planning on ending someone's career.
Dumb questions deserves stupid answers.
@@Wesker12349 - Is that always the case? How about when some dumb questions deserve SMART answers.
@@robertpolanco1973 I like that lol
@@Wesker12349 - Well, I hope you're being right about it.
The dude who interviewed Anne and scarjo needs to be fired dudes a creep
Agreed. He's way worse than the guy from Channel News 4 who interviewed QT.
I see no problem with the guy asking Anne Hathaway about her fitness and nutrition routine. Interviewers also did it for Christian Bale, Henry Cavill, Robert Downy Junior, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Tom Holland...basically any actor who plays a fit superhero. Why was it suddenly creepy because it was Anne Hathaway?
@@pyrotheevilplatypus Did you hear the question he asked to Scarlett? He's a perv.
@@williamandres1042 I have pretty significant facial blindness. This entire list coulda been three to four people and I wouldn't be able to tell.
Graciela Montano :
I think you both missed the point; a question or two is enough for Anne. She was clearly irritated when the dude was getting more and more obnoxious with questions, and wanted them in-detail, that's why she sarcastically replied "are you planning to wear into a cat suit" bit.
Anne's not an idiot. And we know it wasn't sexual harassment per say, like he did questions with Scarlet's under garments, but wouldn't you get annoyed being asked the same questions over and over even though you already answered?
Wow Matt Damon is literally his Good Will Hunting character
He wrote the script
motor4X4kombat here we go again
do you like apples?
@@blubbaditty yeah
m How do you like them apples 🍎
I actually agree with Jim Carrey.
Mspandaninja88 I do too, but to a certain extent.
Thou shall not 69
Jim is just on woke Twitter bullshit.
He smoked DMT for 8 months straight and now thinks he knows what nobody else does
Anne Hathaway's response to that perv was amazing 😂😂
Cara Delevingne's lovely interview ACTUALLY started with them calling her the wrong name.
Tom Hardy: "I don't find it difficult for celebrities to talk about their sexuality" - completely evades talking about his sexuality and makes the interview difficult.
@@pyrotheevilplatypus it is no ones business about ones sexuality...we need to stop "outing" people and let people speak about it when they want too. It is also creepy to be constantly asking people who they are sleeping with and their sex life.
For real i felt bad for her the whole time
@@JMoore-uc1zp same that was so cringey.
@@pyrotheevilplatypus He finds it not hard, but why do it if he doesn't want to? And it's noones buisiness.
jessie issenberg was abit harsh, could have been one of her first interview jobs. Everyone needs experience to get good at interviews
Was Conan O'Brien harshed on his first show?
It was fake.
Well... He nailed it though. 😂
I thought it was parody and the awkwardness and rudeness were planned.
It wasn't planned or scripted or fake.
And celebrating it is way more toxic than his douchebaggery.
The saddest part is that someone actually cared to invite this idiot for a crap film like Now you see me
Jesse Eisenburg was pretty brutal in that interview. I get that she may have misphrased some things, but he didn't have to be so hostile towards someone who was obviously timid.
exactly! some of these questions were asinine, some prying or downright pervy. but Eisenburg and Seinfeld took benign interviews and made them snarky and hostile. Jesse is such a smug little kolboynik yet you know he'd be a coward if another man got in his face. the two of them are too much chutzpah makes me wanna punch em in the schnauz
Yep. He's weird and then overrated
To be fair she definitely wasn't prepared and wasn't very professional
All that taught me is that Jesse Eisenberg is an asshole.
Everyone take it down a notch. He called her carrottop because she brought props to the interview but she misunderstood his intentions and shit went even worse from that point on.
"You're The Carrotop of Interviewers"...says the Carrotop of Supervillains...
tbh imho there was nothing wrong with calling morgan freeman, freeman. If they were buddies she would've said morgan instead of freeman. What was he expecting? I'm not a native english speaker, so I might be wrong. Did he want her to call morgan freeman, Mr.Freeman?
He's the same character in everything he's in lol
That dude's a jerk
Lol! That guy is an Oscar winning and one of the greatest performer in the history of cinema! And an unknown interviewer is calling him by "Freeman"! It's common sense to show respect an actor like him. And Jessie is an good actor too, the roles he played in movie has nothing to do with his personal life, lol. And I'm not a native English speaker either...
What is supposed to mean anyways?
10:38 I love how Jeremy Renner gets a look like "Oh Sh**, here we go."
I've seen #6. The interview of Cara Delevingne. That women was at Cara's throat the moment she asked her first question. Clearly she already made up her mind she didn't like Cara b4 the interview even started. Like she was jealous (or something). The way she talked down to her was like the way high school girls of different clique's try to insult each other.
But why jealous? They're both successful in their own rights, she probably just didn't like her or her media and had an upper hand in that situation.
It was actually kind of funny because they had no idea that they were a pack of Zebra about to be pounced on by a lion. They really should have thanked her for her professionalism. I saw the whole interview, she had ample opportunities to devour the idiots. It was written all over her face and the imbeciles missed it.
6:31 She thought she was talking to Matt Damon, but Will Hunting showed up.
I don’t know if anyone can relate to Joaquin, but I also cannot stand interviews.
Chelsea Canales it’s part of being an actor. They always bitch and moan about all the attention they get.
@Elulzabeth Did you choose to do retail? They chose this. Stop complaining or quit. This isn't a 9-5 job that gives you 15K a year, it's more like 15K an hour or a minute.
@Elulzabeth No, I would because these people get millions of dollars to talk to some people for a month out of the year. I have absolutely zero sympathy for celebrities complaining about press. It's your job and you get paid ridiculous amounts of money, stop complaining about being asked the same question over and over.
Someone should've showed that guy interviewing Tarantino the "BECAUSE ITS SO MUCH FUN JAN, GET IT" clip.
Quentin Tarantino as a human being is just *chef’s kiss*
everything aside, Tom hardy is such a Gentleman
Akshay Sharma he’s so awesome.
Matt Damon sounds incredible educated and well voiced. Good for him in his interview botched by said interviewer
He did go to Harvard
I really loved Anne Hathaways reaction to those weird misogynistic questions. She remained respectful and even funny (not that she would have had to, it would have been totally understandable if she got angry or annoyed).
I'm a simple person. I see Tarantino in the thumbnail, I click.
Same!
That interviewer is waiting to anger somebody so badly that they physically assault him; so he can sue them and take their fortune
Simple indeed
Same
There's not that much thumbnails with him..
So, Quentin Tarantino can be awkward, but this interview, I'm fully behind him. He indeed does not have to justify why he doesn't want to answer a question. That same interviewer, if I'm not mistaken, has also made George Clooney walk out of an interview, because he was so disrespectful.
And the dude that interviewed ScarJo, as well as Anne Hathaway, and talked to them like they were nothing more than sexual objects, I think he tried the same with Rihanna, and she also shot him down.
The two interviewers above definitely made it to the list of guys I recognize and loathe by now.
Jesse didn't have to be a jerk
Matt Damon went “Good will Hunting” on that reporter 🤣🤣
the QT, RDJ and the Anne, Scarlet interviewers need to be fired asap as they are rude as hell and do not understand the meaning of personal space
I agree RDJ didn’t mock the interviewer he destroyed him
Another honorable mention:
“how do you keep your pants up while you’re preforming? It’s incredible!”
Travi$ Scott: *”Belt.”*
Quentin Tarantino shouldn’t be going on Channel 4, they’re the worst journalists.
There's a lot of that going around
Journalist being the pejorative word
Tarantino looking like an alien that is shedding his human disguise
I kinda wish the Shailene Woodley “are you hungry?” moment would’ve been an honorable mention
Still hear Jerry's voice and only relate him to the bee movie.
Mara Gragert 😂😂
I love how Matt Damon defended Mom
Interviewer: are you twins in real life?
The (identical) Phelps twins: no it’s a funny story actually, we met at the audition
Larry King shouldn't be on here. His question wasn't even an implication, King was just setting up that "They didn't cancel you you cancelled them." He was genuine and respectful. Jerry on the other hand was just being confrontational.
75 Million viewers.
Tryuhk
Well, he is the king
Jerry Seinfeld just needed a hug from Ke$ha.
He probably does need a hug. Thou even I would probably say no to one from Ke$ha.
Do a “top 10 time Watchmojo ran out of ideas”
Exactly. I had a feeling of deja vu during the whole video.
How about top ten repetitive UA-cam comments
EN EL JULBILEO I want to see you have a UA-cam video with over 30 million people judging you and you also have to upload once a day, plus did I mention the other Watchmojo channels
They probably would do it
It’ll never be as bad as when they released a top 10 of “ice cream flavors”.
Whenever jim carey is angry, he goes nuts(literally)
Really?
Anne's response to that interviewer was so sweet and kind while also very cutthroat, I love her omg
God I hate that interviewer who ask stupid questions to Tarantino
Guru-Murthy is such a horrible interviewer.
About people asking celebrities about their sexuality...., just because that person plays a gay role, doesn't mean their actual sexual orientation is being portrayed. They are playing a character not themselves as a person. If they wanted people to know their sexuality they'd tell people, but beyond that it's non of the fans business, its actually kinda disrespectful.
I can't help but feel for Cara. She's being alot nicer than I would be to those interviewers.
I live in sacramento where the interviewers are from and they are horrible on good day sacramento. They are so embarrassing and Mark S. Allan is the guy who asked her that rude question.
I don't know who she is, but, I agree with the interviewers. She looked and acted totally uninterested.
@@travis7310I absolutely agree but there is a way to go about it. Good day sacramento isn't known for their tact. I don't know who she is either 😂.
@@travis7310 Not knowing who Cara is is to your detriment here. That is literally just her face. I've seen her a lot in movies/interviews/and she is someone who has a "resting bitch face" (or in this case, resting uninterested face).
As someone who has a similar face, it can be frustrated for people to misjudge how you look and make assumptions. Even if Cara WAS uninterested, the interviewers were pretty rude and condescending. There were better ways to handle it.
If that woman had told me I look exhausted I would’ve told her she looked like she’d put on a few pounds.
Just never ask Quinton Tarantino anything at all.
Hard to believe I first heard of him when he made a guest star in The Muppets
I've seen tons of Great interviews with him. That guy was not interested in Tarantino's movie, he just wanted to generate polemic.
I LOVE watching old Robert Pattinson press interviews for Twilight. He was just so completely awkward and totally untrained in interviews. He made THE BEST faces when people asked him stupid questions 😂
Am I the only one who thought Jesse Eisenberg was kind of rude to to the interviewer?
Normally I'd agree but she definitely came unprepared and didn't look professional at all
Nope she deserved it.
The nerd was probably trying to "neg" her.
She acted like college coed that was doing a summer job she was half assing, I get why he was annoyed
He was "kind of rude", no doubt. But I do think the interviewer deserved it. As others have said she seemed very unprepared and didn't seem like she genuinely cared about his role in the film, just wanted to see him do tricks. I also think he probably felt a degree of second hand offense at her familiarity with Morgan Freeman.
"You looks like you just got off an island" has the same energy of Michael Scott's "Was your dad a G.I.?"
Was the interviewer who asked about Robert Downey Jr dark pass the same one who asked Tarantino about his violence movie
Yep. I really wonder why that wanker hasn't been fired yet!
Darragh Hynes agreed
@@DHynes5 agreed
For #9: Guru-Murthy explained in a later interview that Tarantino calmed down a lot after Guru-Murthy told him that he actually enjoys his films very much. I think Tarantino was under the assumption that he was being harassed by a hater, but was cool when he understood it was a fan who was asking....
It's the same old song played over for decades ever since the Manson Family tried to blame cinema as a get out of jail card (it didn't work). Tarantino literally has that monologue said by one of the murderers in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
RDJs interview with the guy who pressed about his father deserves to be on this list.
It's the same guy that interviewed Quentin Tarantino.
I think oprah winfrey and michael jackson interview should be on this list
which interview? can you link the video if you know one
of course QT is gonna be there..
Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorites 😂
Thoughs eyes from Quentin on the thumbnail! 🤣
With Matt Damon, you should have brought up how the camera man tried to argue with him lol Matt slaughtered them both
Lol "Freeman? What are I on a baseball team with him" lmao needed more of that fire in BvS
they were talking to cara like she was a 12 year old who was cranky and needed a nap. They totally talked down to her.
Jim Carey vs. Fashion week 😂 damn
“I reject your hypothesis”
Matt Damon shit on that Interview. She subtlety insulted her with "big words" she didn't understand😂
5:07 "Who let the dog's out"
A put-down worthy of the show, goes to show how she puts up with Sheldon ☺
How did they not include Rashida Jones on the official list? That may not have been the most epic mocking, but it was definetly one of the dumbest questions asked by an interviewer.
Matt Damon is awesome he totally schooled that interviewer
10:42 😅😅
Jeremy thinking "plenty more where that came from if you want it"
I love it when they play it cool on set, kk interview's with random people with weird ass question. I love that!(:

Tarantino DID explain why he wouldn't answer the question on that interview.
i love how when robert got upset they brought him a present
I'm suddenly remember why, despite having an interest in movies, television, and the personalities in them, I avoid watching the likes of Entertainment Tonight and Extra, and Access Hollywood.

It's creepy how they always try to find justifications about acting thirsty next to Anne or Scarlett...
I really do like this channel
I feel like Tarantino's response was really weird. He's a weird dude though.
Why is it weird?
He kinda overreacts, but it is a loaded question.
Oh stop trolling
it would be if it was the first time he was asked that, or the 3rd or so. But like he said, after being asked that countless times over 20 years he is sick of it
He refused to answer that because he had already done it many times.
Im always afraid that when Tarantino is on screen he’s gonna reach through the screen with his sharp chin and poke my eye out
Also Matt Damon is super well spoken, dude can be genuinely eloquent
One of my favorite interviews is Frank Zappa on MTV in December 1984. It seems like he really doesn't like being there, but his answers are still pretty illuminating, nonetheless.
Hey Watchmojo you are the best
I don't know why I watch these it's always so painful
Tarintino goes hard af
Paul Thompson Agree. The interviewer might be a douche but Quentin proved that he’s even more of a douche than I am.
I remember Michael Gambon (AKA: Professor Dumbledore) when he was on Top Gear. He was talking about how he hates interviews, and will tell lies. He cited one in particular where he was being asked about one of his roles where he played Oscar Wilde, namely if he had problems with the homosexuality aspect. Gambon described on Top Gear how the question annoyed him, so he told the interviewer that it didn’t bother him because he used to be homosexual, but was forced to give it up. The interviewer, not cottoning on that he was being fucked with, asked why. Gambon responded that it was because it made his eyes water.
While the Top Gear segment is still on UA-cam, it’s a shame there’s no footage of that particular interview Gambon was describing.
“I guess you could say in the end the battle came down to saving private mace...” *smirk*

The class: we refuse your question were not biting
I'm not sure if I love #8 so much because of how straight up funny it is or how much I all-around admire Anne Hathaway. Either way, #8 is #1 in my heart.
WatchMojo: here's the top ten times celebs mocked horrible interview questions.
Also WatchMojo: let's talk over them mocking horrible interview questions instead of letting you watch them.
Quinten Tarantino has been in this business a long time. It surprises me when he gets all agitated and easily offended. The question wasn’t even that rude, he just didn’t like where it was going. It just makes him look immature and can’t take criticism when which is inevitable when you’re in the entertainment industry.
True but its a boring question which has been debunked multiple times
Elliot Newton that’s true, but it’s the way he responds that just seems like he can’t control his anger. He can still stay the question is stupid without having a nervous breakdown and again he’s been in this business for many years, so that’s why I was surprised.
True, but I think he just gets tired of saying his point again and again, and if this interview comes after that guy interviews Downey JR maybe he doesn't like that guy??
@@miap true. There was also an incident where he said "I reject your hypothesis" in relation to Margot Robbie limited dialogue. Still, he has probs spoken about this hundreds of times.
It's not criticism but hypocrisy. News anchors who made their career on real violence are directly attacking the life and work of artists using phrases uttered by actual serial killers as arguments. Videogames, music, and cinema are always attacked by those holier-than-thou parents committees and their words are literally what Ted Bundy or Manson Family used to make excuses for murdering people after being arrested - they blamed other people for their crimes. And no, I do not take that out of thin air as Tarantino put that monologue in the script of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where a high as F mass murderer blames movies then goes stabbing a pregnant woman and her friends, like real murderer did in real life. With a plot twist coming her way. Newsflash: DOOM guy didn't shot up a school. Rock music didn't make you take drugs, and films don't kill people, murderers do. And interviewer taking side of serial killers got off easy.
We should be able to ask theses stars the same questions over and over agin if we want. Let’s see how well they do now that no one is seeing their movies in the theaters.
Lmfao that one Ryan Seacrest honorable mention 🤣🤣 “Shut the fuck up, Ryan Seacrest.” should just be a general mantra for everyone.
