  • A simple video about water in redkit, local water is an area you can use to have water at the certain place. While under the map is an already placed "ocean" which i tend to use more. its a bit more easier not to worry about adding shapes everywhere.

    A short video about local water and the already implemented ocean under the level
    i find that adding water planes everywhere is not that optimal and figured out that by setting your terrain lower you can
    shape your world easier adding rivers and beaches.
    Hope this helps a bit about how water works and how i mainly use it, for example if i want to create an ocean just flatten it down and work your way up from there,
    the bigger video is about linking your world which is taking longer since its kinda complicated, in the meantime i will be releasing more of these shorter videos.

    You actually can shape the local water, simply edit the vertices of the water area using the vertex edit tool.
    That way you can create rivers and stuff like that.

      Did not know that for a small world it might be usefull but adding many planes i rather stick with the worlds plane but it depends for each situation

    Ohh perfect I can't wait for the next video. I was wanting to integrate my world into the game 😁😁. There has to be a way to shape the water better no?

      Well using the pre made plane in the world and shaping it with the tools works for me someone else commented that you should be able to add and edit vertexes to the area plane but its not something i worked with

    So the only way to make ocean is to make holes in the ground? Is it possible to create new world that is totally underwater and then rise landmasses like in Skyrin Creation Kit? That is more convenient way as it seems to me.

      Yes just lower the height during creation of your world and have it beneath the ocean might need to try it but i have done it before also dont forget to turn on water shaders

    Also right now I am building mountains in my world, I set the environment parameters and everything but the mountains are like pitch black on one side and light on the other side. Is there a way to fix?

      Envprobe (there should be a tutorial on their website) and sometimes restarting the map it sometimes has issues when you do large map parts

    any reason why i cant see the ocean in my level? I created a brand new level. When testing it, jumping in the hole created, i hit water but it just doesn't show it. I've checked disable water shaders on the world tab and checked allow water shader in environment editor.

    Its posible driving great ships and enter inside them? Really want driving greats ships and make mods like starfield but for the witcher 3, somelike ac black Flag

      Might be possible but that sounds very ambitous but if you can code and find out how the functions work i think anything is possible
