Ya but according to pros who have been to multiple regions, and players from all the big servers say diamond is the worst rank no matter where you are. They don’t mean diamond isn’t a good rank but it seems to be some grey area of skill because some people say gold and plat players have better mechanics than diamond players because diamond players seem to be all boosted
Now there are 2 tiers between diamond and challenger, so nowadays you have to be at least diamond 1 to be considered even remotely good

Nicolas Davies these other guys are wrong as fuck lmao. They say that because as challengers, you’ll usually play with people from like D1 to Challenger. Obviously there’s a huge skill gap between top of ladder and diamond, so diamond players are usually the worst players they are matched with
In the grand scheme of things Diamond is good, being top 1% at a video game isn’t a joke (or anything for that matter). If I had a top 1% SAT score everyone would consider me to be very smart. However to someone like DL who is at the absolute highest level of what’s he’s doing, being in just the top 1% isn’t good relative to him. DL and Bio would both absolutely shit on a diamond player, to them diamond isn’t good. However compared to the majority of league players? Yes. Anyone who isn’t at a Challenger to GM caliber calling Diamond bad is talking out of their ass completely.

if you compare s3 diamond to s10 diamond yes, but if you compared s3 diamonds to s3 other players, diamonds were gods. in fact some s3 diamond players were better than a lot of pro players back then.

@Tia Gen Not exactly. There wasn't even a Master Tier back then. There was just Challenger (Top 200 Players?) and Diamond. There were a lot of Pros in Diamond because Master Tier was introduced seasons later. S3 Diamond was much more competitive than it is now even if the overall skill-level of players has increased over time. That is because the Top % of players were all competing for that Challenger threshold. There was the infamous video of Bjergsen (maybe the best NA player at the time) getting demoted to Diamond I after he WON in Challenger.
Don't think diamond players are very good? I mean, they're the top 1% of ranked players and only 10% of the community plays ranked, so they're theoretically in the top .01% of players.

Not going to lie kids these days are not as skilled as kids 12 years ago. Now quality of players are more as the gaming community grew dont disregard me for my comment earlier but you have more of those annoying cod kids or fortnite kids who think they're at the pinnacle. Back then you could play a game without hearing crying babies or keyboard baby ragers nowadays you have all of them mixed into this mess and it's a fiesta that no one enjoys.
