I should be able to simulate and my team should retain the player placements i have set notbincluding injury. Injuries should be next man up based off depth chart until cleared then reinserted into the original set by the player. Its 2024 this is sad...

Yeah that’s another topic but if you have those formations in your custom that match up with the book you set for your scheme in a CFM, it should work. Obviously won’t be each formation though
You can, but it will only allow you to formation sub for the formations that are included in the playbook you set as your preset. So if my scheme is set to Tampa Bay, any formation subs I put in, will only carry over if the same formations are in my custom. Any unique formations won't exist in the system for you to input formation subs

Can you import a custom playbook into an existing franchise, or do you have to create and bring the custom playbook inn from the beginning?

There’s literally a base setting for the game to have a preferred book as your default. You just can’t set it as such for scheme declarations
Which prevents you from doing formation subs with your custom and things like that. It needs to be fixed in future

I don't think so but I always reset them every offseason and set them before th 1st game
No. You have to edit that outside a game for it to save
