I love NCIS and I'm sorry to see Mark Harmon go. It pains me that this channel felt the need to use the misleading thumbnail just to draw people in. The stars the video speaks about are big enough to get people to watch without trying to slam poop on Mark Harmon with that dialogue box.

NCIS has been a great series. Based on other information out there, Harmon was very demanding for each episode. What's wrong with that? Kate(Sasha) quit stating that the time required each week was the reason she quit after 2 years. The word is the weekly schedule was brutal. Just like the NCIS teams schedule were represented to be. Harman started NCIS at 52 or so and it is amazing how well he has held up. He is now 70 and don't blame him for whatever reason(s) and why he is leaving the show. Only Mark and his wife Pam really know the real reasons he made the decision to stop. The wealth he has accumulated is worthless if he physically can't perform because sooner or later his health will stop it for him. Love 92 year old Clint Eastwood but he didn't work 16 hours a day 6 to 7 days a week for almost 20 years not counting the shows Harmon did before NCIS. I just got Roku, signed up for Paramount+ (1883 and other shows) and am on a journey to watch all NCIS seasons. Also do not like misleading headings either.
Harmon was perfect in ncis role and all other movie roles he was in I didn't think that he were to demanding at all actually for people have to understand it's sort of like a military based procedural show that has a lot to offer its viewers as an audience not only does it deal with military but medical as well as other first responder typed team workers and occupation types that are out in today's society. That's what makes it so interesting.
First off, the clickbait is bullshit. Mark Harmon and Pam Dawber are one of Hollywood's most durable couples. While Katrina Law looks good, she's not enough to end that. Gary Cole is a veteran actor who appears to be a good fit with Law, Sean Murray and Wilmer Valderrama. Advertising for, and the opening of the show, still prominently feature Mark Harmon. I expect he will be back sometime during the season, but his Gibbs character will be quite different than the 'classic' Gibbs. Eighteen-plus years is plenty for an actor in one role, but with him owning a piece of the show and being 70, he can step side and be comfortable. Some of the veterans from the show's past will probably come back at the end, primarily Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly. And with all the options available today, I expect few, if any shows, will reach the numbers of network TV of the past.

CBS has always put their wants and desires over their viewers. In the past, shows like Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heros, and the rural sitcoms like Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction were cancelled without an ending. The ratings for these shows were very good. But when executives wanted to do more drama shows, they would just pull the plug on any show regardless of how well it's doing. NCIS is no different. I noticed a few years ago the writers were toning down the gun play and violence on the show. The agents might pull their guns but never fire them. You wouldn't see much in the way of violence against the victims at the beginning of the episodes. It's like CBS is trying to destroy their greatest crime drama ever. I enjoy Gary Cole's portrayal of agent Alden Parker. He's nothing like Gibbs; and that catches the other members of his team off guard. Parker is a breath of fresh air. I believe that NCIS could go on another 10 seasons or more if the writers would write scripts like they use to and stop changing agents every couple of episodes. And oh, by the way, NCIS: HAWAII is good; but around our house we refer to it as NCIS: 5-0.

Age. That's the reason Mark Harmon left NCIS. The guy is 70. Harmon's age is reason #1. Reason #2 is the Gibbs character. HE's approaching Retirement age as well. The show would start to look really awkward with a Lead Actor who is obviously well past retirement age. (His character's retirement age).
He is not completely gone. His name is still being shown in the opening credits. And the head producer has said very clearly that Harmon will still be a part of the show and will appear from time to time. He is just stepping back from full time amd has become a part time cast member.
I thought he will never leave the show unless the show is ending. I really think he is the soul of this show, it will never be the same without him. I love the other characters and I will continue to support it
I quit when Abby left but I still watched a few, but when Mark left I tried watching with the new guy and I couldn't do it. I did not like it and I personally think the show should've ended with Mark. There is no real characters, don't get me wrong I don't hate Mcgee but unfortunately he is not enough for me to continue watching the show. I grew up watching this show and I connected to the characters, I loved Tony, ziva, Abby and gibbs and when they all left it just ruined the show for me. And now it feels like I got nothing to watch and/or look forward too.
If Mark Harmon actually leaves the show for good I seriously doubt that the show will survive it. I won't watch it without Harmon on it because he is the Backbone ofthe show. He represents everything people truly want in another person & it's easy to believe that their are good guys like him to help keep us safe. 🇺🇸

I'm a fan of NCIS. I've enjoyed every actor and actress that has appeared on NCIS. Sure I was surprised when Kate was mortally wounded and Jenny was ambushed. I miss Ziva and was touched when I found out that Tony and Ziva had a daughter. As someone whos worked the same job for 30 years I knew when it was time to "throw in the towel" or "hang up the guns", how ever you want to call it. I'll miss "Gibbs" like I missed the other great actors that made up NCIS cast. Mark earned the retirement and I hope that there's no health issues to get in the way of that retirement. But I'm an NCIS fan and I'll keep watching my favorite T.V show until one of two things happen. Quite frankly I'd like to live for ever but that will never happen. NCIS ending? "eh"........that would be a tough pill to swallow. Until then I hope that the pill container stay hidden under the sink. God Bless all
If Pauley Perrette’s reasons the show are true, F* Harmon and they should have axed him years ago. He beat a stagehand and broke his orbital bone (eye socket) with the stagehand not even throwing a punch… assault. And he became more and more hostile to costars. Perrette’s departure was because she didn’t want to be afraid all the time. Maybe they should have kept Bellisario and let Harmon walk. Tony, Ziva, Abby, Ducky, etc. were a great ensemble cast. Too bad Bull is doing well enough to stay on. I predicted Tony would come back/take over and bring Ziva, too, maybe.

I never understand why people think that the most important thing about a TV show is the personal relationships. In this case they never actually showed Tony and Ziva as a couple because Michael is a married man and wants to stay that way. To much temptation when it's being pushed at you. What I am not hearing is NCIS's move to a different night which puts them in direct competition with Monday Night Football. Now for us on the west coast, this dooes not pose a problem as MNF starts at about 5:10 or 5:20 PM but in other timezones-there in direct clompetition. I do not know if this skews the numbers but you can watch the show on HULU and I believe on CBS website. Me? I do what I have always done-I purchased the whole season for NCIS and NCISLA. Personally, I think there as been too many changes charachters on the show. Fans invest quite a bit to this show and seeing people come in and then leave sometimes not lasting but one season. I think they should end the show but with a huge arch that see past members re-entering this show for a story line and then having a special big grand finale like they did with MASH.
I'm an NCIS fan and I'll continue to watch because I do love the other characters. Sorry to see Mark Harmon go, but I believe the show and the rest of the cast can survive the transition.
I don't know why the writers just let Gibbs just put in his retirement, just like any other "real" people do. "Gibs" could come back as he owes time to get his "35" years of service, solve a couple of more cases with the team, then in future episodes the character could come back from time to time as a consultant on a special case. I'm going to elaborate on my own comment. For me, the Reason it won't be the same, is the STANDARD he set for himself, and therefore, everyone else. He always wanted to be true to the Marine Corps Creed. He wanted to uphold the RULES that they lived by. He expected everyone else to care enough to do the same. One other reason for the ratings decline is the flooding of "woke" writing in Hollywood. This has driven many viewers away and can be seen not only in scripted TV but sport and news programming as well.
No tony and ziva left. It was no longer worth watching. Sooner as ziva left i gave up. I tried, but it had lost what made it great. I watched tony’s last eps and ziva’s return but have not gone back
With Harmon gone, all the original actors are gone so the remainder of the series would be like another spin-off, despite the fact that it's set in D.C.
First I think that Gary Cole is doing an excellent job replacing Mark Harmon the cast has excepted & they work very well together. Even if Gibbs comes back once in a while there is room for both, Would love to see Abby again she can work for Tony if he becomes a private detective working with NCIS. I miss Doc also, It is just a pleasure seeing him back doing what he does best. The rest of the cast is great keep up the good work!!! Hawaii is just getting off the ground but I really like it. The story lines & actors are perfect, want to see this show continuing. LA it has not disappointed me yet, keep it coming!!!
I tried to watch Hawaii but i just gave up after the fourth episode. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. As for Los Angles honestly i think they should have ended the series after season ten. At this point it just feels like they are rehashing old plots cause they cant think of anything else. I actually think NCIS is doing pretty good. I loved Gibbs but i think Gary Cole's character Parker is a pretty good replacement for Gibbs. His got the old school hard case vibe but he's also tech smart.

Mark Harmon is the most handsome and sexy man I ever seen. I like NCIS but don't watch it as much as I did when mark Harmon left. Not only is he so handsome but I generally loved his character. The whole romance fantasy he had with his deceased wife and daughter. Everybody should understand he is seventy years old. Don't blame him wants to enjoy his family. But he is and always be I think most handsome and sexy man. Love you mark Harmon.
Harmon was/is the glue for a great cast, even as actors rotated out and in. It would be great if he returned in a limited way to keep the “family” together. No negative re Gary Cole, but he’s not “family”.

Not to mention his numerous roles throughout the decades as different characters. Jackson and Cruise are really just character actors gone A list by opinions based on mediocre films. They are talented but not as much as Harmon.

I have watched NCIS and t3 spin of shows since each of them aired .I will be VERY DISAPPOINTED if they go off the air and CBS will most likely lose me as a viewer of their channel. I hope they give NCIS another year or two to build the show without Gibes might not have the best actor for his replacement and would like to see some others come back.Also I love NCIS Los Angeles and hope the will not take it off the air.
Harmon and Dawber need to get together before NCIS ends. Why bring her on, besides SAG points, it they aren't going to become a couple and ride off into some kind of sunset? For me, NCIS was always been my go to, must watch, show. Now, however, if I miss it, meh! The writers can do 'out there' stuff if this is the last, or second to last season. Cameo's by Abby, Ziva, Tony, and, of course, Doctor Mallard.

I liked Hawaii 5-0 much better than NCIS Hawaii. I would have been just fine with Lance Gross on 5-0 while the McGarrett actor was off finding himself after all he went through in the series.

I tried to watch the first with out Harmon & when I saw Cole ( have you got the memo ) not right for the part. I can't tell you what the episode was about. Ncis LA got to see how it's really done when actor Brant osborne & 2 others were arrested for the deaths of two women due to Heroin overdose. They dropped the woman off at 2 different hospital, prius no license plate & 3 masked men.

I have now seen the "fill-in" FBI Agent ( now former) who takes over from Gibbs. Why? In real-life, there is a chain of command, and the Leader goes, he/she is replaced by the next best. Gibbs praises McGee in a way that indicates he should (will?) be the one. Yet..... Clearly, they are trying to kill off the show.

CBS has always put their wants and desires over their viewers. In the past, shows like Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heros, and the rural sitcoms like Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction were cancelled without an ending. The ratings for these shows were very good. But when executives wanted to do more drama shows, they would just pull the plug on any show regardless of how well it's doing. NCIS is no different. I noticed a few years ago the writers were toning down the gun play and violence on the show. The agents might pull their guns but never fire them. You wouldn't see much in the way of violence against the victims at the beginning of the episodes. It's like CBS is trying to destroy their greatest crime drama ever. I enjoy Gary Cole's portrayal of agent Alden Parker. He's nothing like Gibbs; and that catches the other members of his team off guard. Parker is a breath of fresh air. I believe that NCIS could go on another 10 seasons or more if the writers would write scripts like they use to and stop changing agents every couple of episodes. And oh, by the way, NCIS: HAWAII is good; but around our house we refer to it as NCIS: 5-0.

I so agree with much of what you say I have to stop by to say so. Especially Gary Cole as Alden Parker. He has a lighter personality with similar professionalism.
Age. That's the reason Mark Harmon left NCIS. The guy is 70. Harmon's age is reason #1. Reason #2 is the Gibbs character. HE's approaching Retirement age as well. The show would start to look really awkward with a Lead Actor who is obviously well past retirement age. (His character's retirement age).
He is not completely gone. His name is still being shown in the opening credits. And the head producer has said very clearly that Harmon will still be a part of the show and will appear from time to time. He is just stepping back from full time amd has become a part time cast member.

I quit when Abby left but I still watched a few, but when Mark left I tried watching with the new guy and I couldn't do it. I did not like it and I personally think the show should've ended with Mark. There is no real characters, don't get me wrong I don't hate Mcgee but unfortunately he is not enough for me to continue watching the show. I grew up watching this show and I connected to the characters, I loved Tony, ziva, Abby and gibbs and when they all left it just ruined the show for me. And now it feels like I got nothing to watch and/or look forward too.

If Mark Harmon actually leaves the show for good I seriously doubt that the show will survive it. I won't watch it without Harmon on it because he is the Backbone ofthe show. well not sure why NCIS New Orleans was Canceled cause i liked it a lot but i have to admit the fact they killed off Country Mouse was not my favorite episode at all
I liked Christopher too and I didn't see or hear ANYTHING about Lucas leaving, so his death was quite the shock.
My guy and I still enjoy watching NCIS. Life brings us change…deal with it.

I'm a fan of NCIS. I've enjoyed every actor and actress that has appeared on NCIS. Sure I was surprised when Kate was mortally wounded and Jenny was ambushed. I miss Ziva and was touched when I found out that Tony and Ziva had a daughter. As someone whos worked the same job for 30 years I knew when it was time to "throw in the towel" or "hang up the guns", how ever you want to call it. I'll miss "Gibbs" like I missed the other great actors that made up NCIS cast. Mark earned the retirement and I hope that there's no health issues to get in the way of that retirement. But I'm an NCIS fan and I'll keep watching my favorite T.V show until one of two things happen. Quite frankly I'd like to live for ever but that will never happen. NCIS ending? "eh"........that would be a tough pill to swallow. Until then I hope that the pill container stay hidden under the sink. God Bless all

If Pauley Perrette’s reasons the show are true, F* Harmon and they should have axed him years ago. He beat a stagehand and broke his orbital bone (eye socket) with the stagehand not even throwing a punch… assault. And he became more and more hostile to costars. Perrette’s departure was because she didn’t want to be afraid all the time. Maybe they should have kept Bellisario and let Harmon walk. Tony, Ziva, Abby, Ducky, etc. were a great ensemble cast. Too bad Bull is doing well enough to stay on. I predicted Tony would come back/take over and bring Ziva, too, maybe.

In this case they never actually showed Tony and Ziva as a couple because Michael is a married man and wants to stay that way. To much temptation when it's being pushed at you. Well, I do like the idea of Taly team. If a person is married, has a good solid relatioship...then there would not be space for jelousy. Thats the job they signed up to do. Romance as well as comedy and suspence adds a diference whole perspectve on a show that could very easy fall on the same boring category as the rest programs

What I am not hearing is NCIS's move to a different night which puts them in direct competition with Monday Night Football. Now for us on the west coast, this dooes not pose a problem as MNF starts at about 5:10 or 5:20 PM but in other timezones-there in direct clompetition. I do not know if this skews the numbers but you can watch the show on HULU and I believe on CBS website. Me? I do what I have always done-I purchased the whole season for NCIS and NCISLA. Personally, I think there as been too many changes charachters on the show. Fans invest quite a bit to this show and seeing people come in and then leave sometimes not lasting but one season. I think they should end the show but with a huge arch that see past members re-entering this show for a story line and then having a special big grand finale like they did with MASH.

I don't know why the writers just let Gibbs just put in his retirement, just like any other "real" people do. "Gibs" could come back as he owes time to get his "35" years of service, solve a couple of more cases with the team, then in future episodes the character could come back from time to time as a consultant on a special case. To Mark...happy retirement!

I'm going to elaborate on my own comment. For me, the Reason it won't be the same, is the STANDARD he set for himself, and therefore, everyone else. He always wanted to be true to the Marine Corps Creed. He wanted to uphold the RULES that they lived by. He expected everyone else to care enough to do the same. One other reason for the ratings decline is the flooding of "woke" writing in Hollywood. This has driven many viewers away and can be seen not only in scripted TV but sport and news programming as well.

With Harmon gone, all the original actors are gone so the remainder of the series would be like another spin-off, despite the fact that it's set in D.C.
First I think that Gary Cole is doing an excellent job replacing Mark Harmon the cast has excepted & they work very well together. Even if Gibbs comes back once in a while there is room for both, Would love to see Abby again she can work for Tony if he becomes a private detective working with NCIS. I miss Doc also, It is just a pleasure seeing him back doing what he does best. The rest of the cast is great keep up the good work!!! Hawaii is just getting off the ground but I really like it. The story lines & actors are perfect, want to see this show continuing. LA it has not disappointed me yet, keep it coming!!!
I tried to watch Hawaii but i just gave up after the fourth episode. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. As for Los Angles honestly i think they should have ended the series after season ten. At this point it just feels like they are rehashing old plots cause they cant think of anything else. I actually think NCIS is doing pretty good. I loved Gibbs but i think Gary Cole's character Parker is a pretty good replacement for Gibbs. His got the old school hard case vibe but he's also tech smart.

Mark Harmon is the most handsome and sexy man I ever seen. I like NCIS but don't watch it as much as I did when mark Harmon left. Not only is he so handsome but I generally loved his character. The whole romance fantasy he had with his deceased wife and daughter. Everybody should understand he is seventy years old. Don't blame him wants to enjoy his family. But he is and always be I think most handsome and sexy man. Love you mark Harmon.
Harmon was/is the glue for a great cast, even as actors rotated out and in. It would be great if he returned in a limited way to keep the “family” together. No negative re Gary Cole, but he’s not “family”.

Still love NCIS, with or without Mark Harmon. Gave up on NCIS Hawaii after 5 episodes. Also gave up on NCIS LA a couple of years ago. NCIS New Orleans was a no go from the start. I still look at JAG re-runs !

I have watched NCIS and t3 spin of shows since each of them aired .I will be VERY DISAPPOINTED if they go off the air and CBS will most likely lose me as a viewer of their channel. I hope they give NCIS another year or two to build the show without Gibes might not have the best actor for his replacement and would like to see some others come back.Also I love NCIS Los Angeles and hope the will not take it off the air.
Harmon and Dawber need to get together before NCIS ends. Why bring her on, besides SAG points, it they aren't going to become a couple and ride off into some kind of sunset? For me, NCIS was always been my go to, must watch, show. Now, however, if I miss it, meh! The writers can do 'out there' stuff if this is the last, or second to last season. Cameo's by Abby, Ziva, Tony, and, of course, Doctor Mallard.

NCIS was my favorite if all time. I loved Gibbs to death. But when Tony and Ziva left I quit watching so much. Haven't seen the show in 4 years, except the 2 shows with Ziva turning up.
I liked Hawaii 5-0 much better than NCIS Hawaii. I would have been just fine with Lance Gross on 5-0 while the McGarrett actor was off finding himself after all he went through in the series.
I like Gary Cole and have enjoyed the episodes with him. However, I can't help but think, "How would Gibbs have handled this?"

Obviously no one can replace mark harmon but I really enjoy Gary Cole. I think his character is a great fit into the team and I’m seriously enjoying season 19 so far
I don’t think that the show will survive without Mark Harmon. I also wish that Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo will come back. I have stopped watching NCIS since after the first episode of season 19. It’s kind of boring now.

Ncis LA got to see how it's really done when actor Brant osborne & 2 others were arrested for the deaths of two women due to Heroin overdose. They dropped the woman off at 2 different hospital, prius no license plate & 3 masked men.

Gary Cole? A "who he" in my mind. For me, after the departure of Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherley and Pauly Perrette, Harmon's exit is the last straw. The only NCIS I watch now are early, season 3.......6 or 7 reruns.

I have now seen the "fill-in" FBI Agent ( now former) who takes over from Gibbs. Why? In real-life, there is a chain of command, and the Leader goes, he/she is replaced by the next best. Gibbs praises McGee in a way that indicates he should (will?) be the one. Yet..... Clearly, they are trying to kill off the show.

Maybe the ratings are down because the the last couple seasons you have to pay CBS to watch because they won’t put them on Netflix. Why would someone want to have to pay both subscriptions?
Another mistake in the show is Gibbs slapping employees on the back of their heads. Like that behavior is acceptable? A gentle pat on the shoulder these days would even be challenged by some.
