Thank God most Anglo Indians had the courage to sell out and immigrate to better lives. They were followed overseas by many Indians who knew what the future would be like in India. My sadness to see what happened to those who remained is immense. How India could be proud of its development is beyond me. What a tragedy for a good people who gave so much of their lives to this country. Looking at McCluskieganj is to realise the good fortune for those who left India and the tragic situation of many ( including Anglo Indians) who remained.

The kids in the region who want to learn English the old way should take lessons from Ms.Kittie. Not one grammatical error and correct pronunciation in her speech despite her advancing years.
This is just gross negligence by state government. She should be repatriated to the britain considering she has anglo indian heritage, or maybe some one from her community should atleast take effort to put her out of misery. No wonder states like jharkhand and bihar are extremely backward with mindless cesspit politics.
