I´m a passionate woodworker both profesionally and as a hobby and i have pretty much no understanding on the topic of leatherworking and yet these videos are fascinating to me. Not only are they very well edited and produced but it is nice to see another craftsman working in a totally different field. Noticing little tricks like cutting the half round piece with this chisel like tool by resting one edge at a single point and rotating on that edge ( 4:41 ) it´s things like that, which show great experience i´m assuming. Long story short this is great work and content pls keep up the good work.

@David I think leather is fine, you might have been worried that chocolate melted inside, but I might say it's an inspirational work and I'm not selling. Thanks though!
I am wondering if you can (in your 3D software) put a thin ridge on your top ring. When you sandwich the leather on the form and clamp it, the ridge may be able to leave an impression in the leather for your stitch line. I have seen this technique with metal stamps. You build the trim line into the stamp. It seems that this might work for a two part mold. Otherwise, this thing is perfect. Oh my.
@@HahnsAtelier Got the idea from Corter Leather. Eric has his brass embossing stamps made with the outer cut line incorporated into the stamp design. So when he stamps, the cut line is already pressed into the leather. No fiddling with dividers.
