I feel like it should be stressed more that regardless of your build, you don’t ever want any of the mod slots in your armor or weapons to be empty. Having ANY mod in that slot increases the base values of the item. So all armor rating goes up by adding a cooling or warming mod even though neither actually adds to the armor rating. Just having the slot filled buffs the item. Edit: this was apparently changed in 1.0. I just tested it myself, and adding unnecessary mods does NOT, in fact, improve the base statistics of your apparel. It does still increase the value, though my early testing implies it does so by a lesser degree than it used to (a level 2 scavenger hat goes from 240 to 312 with a cooling mod, and the mod on its own has a value of 80).
You get crit resist from the health bar. You should need it unless you crap is about to go down and you need to go beast mode. This build has no issues with 2 to 3 zombies. You're better off with the damage reduction for the bigger ones if you do take a hit. But in the end you do you and what feels the best for your play style. All that matters is you are having fun 😁
1.3 update: the build is still op on lower difficulties. on insane however your play style needs to change, instead of tanking you need play bruiser, you need to know when to pull out of clump, recover and kite and medic perks becomes the must.
I do play with the skill Charisma in order to boost a friend of mine using that build, this gives him extra resistance in case that was not broken enough.
Thanks for the great tips! I'm not new to 7days but 1.0 has a learning curve that frustrated me (probably because I'm too used to the alphas). Haters are gonna hate but just play in a way that makes the game fun for you. I only play single player so I do cheat on my first playthrough to get used to the game then I go back and play without the cheats. That's what makes me enjoy the game. This was a good video with great editing and commentary. Thanks again.
I like this build, thanks for the vid. I do still die when getting beat by like 20 zombies if you not using fortbites and the other candy bar, but still nice and tanky. I found the +1 health per hit to be kind of underwhelming but it keeps you topped off generally for standard fighting. I prefer nomad helm to assist with hunger/thirst (very nice QOL) and it is still heavy armor, and I like the biker boots which reduce melee stamina usage for prolonged fights. They only have 17.3 armor rating since they're medium instead of 21, but they give a lesser stamina penalty and discount your melee attacks stamina use as well, AND you can still put the stealth mod on to further help your stamina. I forget if you can put the armor mod on it but if you can that would bring em up to 19.3 which is only 1.7 armor rating behind the heavy boots. I don't really care about fall dmg so much but that is a neat idea with this strat. I went with raider gloves and preacher armor as well. I like using machine gun as well, since that is sort of a panic-spray weapon that you can use while your stamina regens in the hectic moments and it's also fortitude. I think however a cheaper way to stay VERY tanky is to spec into int a little bit and get the physician perks, which increase your healing rates from med kits. Just take a med kit before a giant horde blobs on you and it will continually heal you for the duration at a super fast rate for like 200+ health over time, on top of your +1 health every 5 second and +1 health per hit. I like that a bit better than using fortbites, but you can also use fortbites with the healing kit to become SUPER resistant. I still find it somewhat difficult to really facetank a ton of zombies for a prolonged time on tier 6 or bloodmoons however, but between the health kits, back pedaling, and switching to machine gun it seems to work really nice. I only went two into parkour so I can jump around a bit, and since I went some int for the healing, I'm now also speccing into turrets which helps a good bit- one ranged and one pusher is cool, or even two pushers helps reduce the tougher bits ESPECIALLY at a chokepoint.
This build is fun to use but that being said three months later you 100% can have broken and or sprained legs and you arent immortal anymore. you can 100% get killed if you try to face tank too much
@firespark I run something similar to this build, but I'd put weighted head in knuckles for the knock down. Especially against groups it makes a big difference, but with the Bar Brawler vol 4 book extra dmg to knocked down enemies... it can make a huge difference with rads if you play tactically. It can be the difference between a kiting fight and a 1-2 knock-out. I also prefer the Preacher gloves. I know you focus on melee... but sometimes it's appropriate to whip out a gun or a bow. Having the "extra damage against undead' for me is better than just melee damage
Quad pocket on all armor below 50? Extremely unlikely. You can only get one from the tourist challenge and the schematic is basically non existent because the loot pool is so flooded with books.
With that said, he also still has quite a few empty slots in his armor pieces. So he can easily substitute a triple pocket + double pocket in those pieces.
It does but I got 5/5 iron gut and I use nomad helm (still heavy armor so you get nice armor rating) and that further reduces the drain. Seems to be okay at mitigating.
The truth about this build is that knuckles sadly have not enough damage, in higher difficulties with this build you can stand almost any zombie as long as it's alone, but you will hardly ever fight a zombie alone. This can't handle moderate groups of zombies as they tae forever to die and all that time you're taking way more damage than what you can heal back. As shown in the vid, even a small group of rather normal zombies let him with 2/3 HP and many injuries, imagine doing a T5 PoI... lots of healing required or time wasted waiting to self heal (if zombies let you that time), lots of medical supplies used... definitely not what comes to my mind when thinking about a "god" build. By level 46 you can perform way better than this with stealth, or spears, or maces, or basically anything
@@security864 It's not me who lost 1/3 HP and got many injuries on a simple fight that any spear, bat, mace or even knife could have done without taking a hit. And the bad player it's me? Just for your knowledge, knuckles are BY FAR my favourite weapon in the game and I'd really LOVE this build to work on Insane, but it doesn't. Sadly, the only weapon that performs worse than knuckles is the stun baton. Knuckles, knifes and stun baton are similar weapons: small, short range, bad movement to hit more than a zombie at a time, and low damage. Among these 3, knuckles have feats that undeniably lead you into longer fights: lowest stamina consumption, inherent bonus to knockdown and self-healing, none of them is an offensive feat. Knives and baton have DoT, Knives have a huge bonus to stealth attacks and baton even has his exclusive candy to make it AoE DoT, so they both are clearly more offensive oriented (despite baton attacks speed and the unability to stack the shock effect makes it underperform in higher difficulties). You may like it or not, but disagreeing won't make it to not be true: 1, by level 46 you can outperform this build with almost any weapon in the game. And 2, you can wear these armor pieces and drop all points into knuckles, switching them into another weapon, and it will outperform knuckles as well. The only reason you chose knuckles over other melees is because of the healing, and you "missed" that avoiding incoming damage is always better than healing incoming damage. Can this build go well in lowest difficulties? Of course it could, in those difficulties you can kill irradiated zombies with a wrench, so yes, but it won't make it an "inmortal god" build. I tried to copy this on my lvl 53 character after drinking one of those elixirs to reset my skill points. Im not able to get everything u have here. I was able to get everything u have in Fortitude and Strength but ran out of skill points at 7/10 agility. I double and tripple checked, I didnt take a single point in anything u dont have listed here. have to be level 58 to copy this. how did u manage to have it all by lvl 46? is there something that gives u extra skill points? because this is not possible for me at lvl 53.
You are correct, and I can only imagine that FireSpark either just slipped a little bit on the math, or mentioned something as a requirement but did not intended it to be. To break it down: All players get 4 pts for the starter quests plus 1 pt per level. To get the skills mentioned at the start of the video as "required", you need 17 pts to max Fortitude, 5 pts to get Str 5/10, and 11 pts to get Agi 8/10. He then states a requirement of 5 Brawler, 5 Pain Tolerance, 5 Healing Factor, 3/4 Heavy Armor, and 4 Parkour. This totals 55 pts needed. My recommendation is to just use the points needed to get 3/4 Parkour, which I think is what you did. The Parkour points are just needed for fall damage, and not for tanking, so it seems like they are not at all required for the core of this build. (I'm not sure you can still get that at his claimed Lv.46, but if you cannot then just get 2/4 Parkour to start with, and build up from there. But at your Lv. 53 you can probably get 3/4 Parkour.)
Oops, I think I was off by 1 on each of the stats. But even if so, it still means that 52 pts are needed to get all "required" skills mentioned at the start of the video. In either case, I still suggest just skilling up Parkour last.
I may be talking out of my rear, but I recall hearing it’s better to level up by killing zombies because you get bonus points. Which is why I don’t use the cheat commands to level up because you get less points to spend.
its not the breaking legs but the fall damage as parkour lvl 4 dosent negate fall damage you just don't break legs or sprain. The dukes and bracing mods mean you can fall alot further without taking damage.
@@squiggling568 i used to jump off the skyscraper with lvl4. Guess they changed it from alpha 21 lol but honestly, even if its like 10 blocks before you take damage, you don’t need more Than that.

We got a guy on our server that does the horde night all the time like this. We only help him some for fun. He tanks it all getting most of the kills. He also does a few extra things on top of this build. He has points in INT to instant heal springs and broken bones. Vitamins reduces other issues. If he has any issues he heals. If he is surrounded he just jumps over them. Horde night is easy compared to a POI and being stuck in a corner and the ceiling is too low. Even then he is able to punch his way out. If he wanted to he can still use a contact grenade to get out.
Because she gave me an abrasion which lowers your max hp. As stated in the video you are not immune to critical injuries but they also don't really slow you down.
I think the nerd hat is just for exp gain. It’s heavy armor so any other heavy would be same. That nomad hat is nice since you don’t need as much food or drink
It's stupid that they've let this happen in the base game, especially at this point in their dev cycle. It makes the end game boring. There's no challenge when you can't be hurt and you already have everything this quickly. I'm glad you're making videos to point this out. Your edits are excellent and you're a good narrator (announcer?). Either way, good stuff on the video and the topic. Sad for 7dtd.
Thank you for the kind words. Do keep in mind that getting to this point of over poweredness in the game will take some time. But I personally don't see an issue with it. Being op in games is fun. I think more games need to let people have a power trip. If you think it makes the game boring play a build that challenges you or make up your own rules. Like I currently have a game going where I can't craft anything that's not in the build menu. It so much fun. Freeing even.
@Firespark81 How are you doing with that challenge? I had a no crafting challenge in A21 and loved it, but loot was a lot better in that version. I tried doing the same in 1.0 but it's been difficult. I limit myself to what I can do irl. I can cook, sew, garden, do minor repairs, build a wood cube, etc. But I can't craft weapons and ammo, or a vehicle. I wouldn't know how to make a wrench or pickaxe.
Brawler build has been roughly this powerful for a couple alpha's now, though likely a bit more feasible/easier to get to earlier in a playthrough with the new armor bonuses and crafting mechanics.
@@tremas3329 yeah, you're definitely not wrong. I guess I just got my hopes up too high for this 1.0 release. I was excited about the armor sets. Might as well open the dev panel and turn on God mode at this point. The end game ease and repetition kills it for me. The first 2 weeks in-game are still solid though, with plenty of consequences and choices. After roughly day 14 though ☹️

Immortal God, that goes down over 30 health in a few seconds with just half dozen zombies?? With an actual horde, or doing any POI with more than a dozen zombies, you're dead. Which is most of your time in 7D2D. I would hardly call that 'Immortal God' lol This build isn't even close to immortal, its the same as a dozen other builds that also can die fairly easily if you try to tank a hordes. Sure its a fun build, but you're completely lieing/over-selling what it is.
i have to agree especially after watching Capp00 @capp00 play his One Punch Man series and he even had trouble sometimes keeping his health up with large crowds of zombies. just thought i would share my thoughts on this. thank you aunti anya.
Yes let's get into semantics about what I called it to peak your interest. You can clearly 1v1, 1v2, even 1v4 most things and come out on top with little to no issues. Maybe a few hp down but clearly alive all while face tanking if you had to. That group fight would destroy most. I would call a 30 HP loss after getting beat in the face for 30 sec by many zombies all while not healing a bleed pretty freaking immortal. Also if you are clearing a poi and have more than a dozen zombies just beating on you long enough to die in this build you are just bad at the game and should probably play on easier settings until you learn. Just sayin lol
@@Firespark81 It's not semantics, its English. You can 1v1 and 1v2 with literally any gear. With a gun, you kill groups before they even get to you, and without loosing ANY HP at all. Most players aren't going to stand there and take a beating, because they are NOT Immortal Gods, just like this build isn't. But some builds CAN stand still and destroy a group without loosing any HP, unlike this build. A straight M60 in any armor would destroy those zombies pretty quick, no HP lost. ... Wow, and now you claim this build can kill zombies fast enough that you never face groups while clearing a POI? Oh, please make a video clearing high gamestage Crack-a-book HQ Infestation. Or any of the Teir 6 Infestations with large zombie groups spawning. Love to see this. lol It's not semantics, you're simply wrong.
Lmao don't understand what semantics means and now wants a guide on how to clear a hard poi. Just say you're bad at the game m8 it's ok. No one cares if you're good or not. All that matters is you are having fun.
@@Firespark81 lol Do you even know what a Teir 6 is? Judging by your child-like nonsense so far, I'm guessing not. Perhaps watch a tutorial or two yourself and just copy them, at least then you may get something right. Oh for sure, having fun is the entire point of playing games, you should try it. "Playing" the game that is, you may find you enjoy it and learn something along the way. Or I guess continue with your narcissistic man-child nonsense videos. As you wish.
Just a quick note about mods in your weapons, don't leave any slots empty. It doesn't matter what mods you add, every one adds damage.
I feel like it should be stressed more that regardless of your build, you don’t ever want any of the mod slots in your armor or weapons to be empty.
Tag me If you know, would love to know that too
You are correct, and I can only imagine that FireSpark either just slipped a little bit on the math, or mentioned something as a requirement but did not intended it to be.
Why impact bracing mods or even the 5000 coins….?
You wont ever break a leg anymore or take damage when level 4 parkour, did they change that?
its not the breaking legs but the fall damage as parkour lvl 4 dosent negate fall damage you just don't break legs or sprain. The dukes and bracing mods mean you can fall alot further without taking damage.
@@squiggling568 i used to jump off the skyscraper with lvl4. Guess they changed it from alpha 21 lol but honestly, even if its like 10 blocks before you take damage, you don’t need more Than that.
@@halakon666 yea I don't know if u need that much but it's up to you.
You can never have enough fall damage protection. I use it as a shortcut or when i need to escape from t5-t6 zombies.@@halakon666
interesting build, clearly very tanky
I like using the machine gun with this build it doesnt mess anything up does it? Anything i should change?
It works well just take the machine gun perks and that's it :/
@thealchemist3575 I'm still using the whole build was just worried using machine gun would ruin it
@@MayhemboWell, you're not getting HP back on hit if you're not using your knuckles, so you'll be significantly less "tanky."
@evanwheeler7687 I'm using machine gun when their far away but when their right up on me I use the knuckles with beer
@evanwheeler7687 the machine gun is more of just for clearing the hordes a bit but thanks for the heads up=)
How does this build do against zombie bear hordes?
It can face tank a zombie bear just fine. Didn't try more than one.
Well that seems near sighted. I need to know how many zombie bears i can dance with at the same time. Currently i haven't found a limit@@Firespark81
Great work .I’ve been following you for awhile. I’m on console Xbox, currently level 125. Day 59, I searched everywhere ,I cannot find any Great Escape books. I found 2 early on but can’t locate any others. Any suggestions, ty
I assume you are checking all the house mailboxes, and standing free newspaper and mailboxes littered throughout the cities? That's where I get mine.
@@rinner2801 I check everything I can see. So many duplicates, but I only have found 2 of those. The game must know I need them! Lol
ok, sure, but how do you face hordes on blood moons with just your bare hands?
We got a guy on our server that does the horde night all the time like this. We only help him some for fun. He tanks it all getting most of the kills. He also does a few extra things on top of this build. He has points in INT to instant heal springs and broken bones. Vitamins reduces other issues. If he has any issues he heals. If he is surrounded he just jumps over them. Horde night is easy compared to a POI and being stuck in a corner and the ceiling is too low. Even then he is able to punch his way out. If he wanted to he can still use a contact grenade to get out.
It's easy lol
@4:11 she hit you with -1HP, then you go down to 137... Why?!?
because its a bug.
Might be cuz of the debuff he got. I dont know the exact info on it but debuffs typically reduce max HP by a certain amount. o:
Because she gave me an abrasion which lowers your max hp. As stated in the video you are not immune to critical injuries but they also don't really slow you down.
@@Firespark81 Okay! 'Point' was being made about being hit for 1hp, but then it drops, nothing said about being given an abrasion!
I mention later in the video about how the build doesn't prevent debuffs but can tank through all of them. Watch the whole thing without skipping.
So can can you switch around the armor like use all heavy and in late game do you really need the nerd helmet?
I think the nerd hat is just for exp gain. It’s heavy armor so any other heavy would be same. That nomad hat is nice since you don’t need as much food or drink

No link to the stealth build????
Freeing even.
thats why its nice to have mods i guess. to have custom zombies that spit fire or make u drown and other insane stuff
Can’t find your ghost video
It's his "best armor set" video which goes into making a stealth build
Too many crybabies in this comment section. Thanks Firespark for highlighting some of the best perks and skill books in thr game, a great polishing tutorial on my pre 1.0 favourite build! Long live the immortal Fistie!
Dude this is overpowered, and they aren’t “crybabies” they are just saying that it’s a bit too overpowered and less of a challenge, this makes 7 days to die in to 7 days to live, and oh yeah I forgot, You really must enjoy creative mode
I know this a tutorial, and how u find this useful but it’s just.. easy like those clicker games
@@MemerTheDreamer-nv9zblmao imagine being mad and upset about how other people play a game. What a crybaby 😂😂
@@MemerTheDreamer-nv9zbjajaja. The fact that you think being OP by knowing how to play is not good shows how much you may suck.
Any skill tree can be OP if you know how to play.
Btw, you dont need creative mode to be good, you just need to know how to play.
@@nstorm2415 dude I know my way around the game, just cuz I think it’s overpowered doesn’t mean I suck lmao, which is a little crazy, and I don’t care how anyone plays anymore as long as it’s not in one of my worlds
My drone disappeared and I lost all my dukes 🙄 xbox
Just do creative and respawn what ya lost, unless there’s not that on console?
be honest, have you ever played the game without the debugmenu?
why waste the time when they are just trying to do a spec video
@MuayThaiDreadlock Lmao for years and I've been streaming 1.0 every Monday and Tuesday for the past few weeks. The tiniest bit of research is all it would have taken for you to find the answer to that question instead of trying to pull some gotcha BS or whatever this comment is meant to be.
@@Firespark81 Them: Research!?!?!?! Never searched the first time! 😂
Walk on toilet water
how can you have all this free space in your inventory while not upgrading the storage perk?
The pocket mod on the armor
he has a quad pocket mod on each armor meaning he has +16 inv space
Pack mule perk is an early game trap. You can fully unlock inventory with the pocket mods, if you've invested just take a grandpas forgettin elixir so you can respec those points into something worthwhile.
maxed out parkour makes you basically immune to fall damage so the impact bracing mod is useless
Pain Tolerance isn't in game now unless its only on single player now.
Maybe they updated? I'm playing multiplayer and I have it.
Did you check the Fortitude Skills tab?
Love to see this. lol
It's not semantics, you're simply wrong.
This is going to be patched soon😂
Why
That's getting nerfed lol
haha, that is crazy! Who needs horde bases anymore. just go for a stroll on horde night and you'll be fine!
