New GSD parent but you have both myself and my 7 year old daughter inspired and watching your journey with Lucy. Any advice for our 3 month puppy? Obviously she is young and I do not expect the world of her.
Start training NOW. Make sure there is only one alfa member of the group. Only feed it dog food not any of the crap like chocolate. One egg occasionally for its coat, A small piece of cheese occasionally as a treat. When training use only two words, one is its name to get its attention and the other is the command and remember you not asking it your telling it. The most important is to give it loads of love and strokes. If you treat it right and show it love it will walk over broken glass for you.

Beautiful view! I also live in Sydney and have a German shepherd pup. I was just wondering if you use a prong collar on Lucy because I want to use it as well for my dog's reactivity. I can't seem to find a balanced trainer who uses prongs , so I was hoping you would know some. Lucy is so sweet and well trained!

Hi, I had a question about walking my gsd puppy on leash when visiting new parks, high distractions. I'm using a prong collar but in all new places, he has such a non-calm state of mind and always pulls even when I try to give corrections backwards. He is fine when I walk him in our usual park but not new places. How were you able to fix this if this was ever an issue for you?
