i have mine for about 3 years now and still happy and Satisfied with It no complains Overall 9 out of 10. I just wished it had a passive tone knob. Till this day i refuse to sell it since its my first bass and it plays really well and Sounds Good haven't gotten bad comments on the tone and nothing has broken yet. I'd say Its a really great bass for both beginners and someone looking for a budget bass or something different But doesn't want to spend much. Nice Video really accurate to what i have experienced with mine
@@jm879 Cheers for the comment, good to see other people's thoughts and experiences reflecting my own. Yeah! Your first bass should really stay with you, even if you don't play it I feel like it holds memories.
We're big on those Metallica licks here, especially that album! A selection of some of their finest work! Inspiration for that first bassline came from Tame Impala's melodic approach to bass playing, lots of slides and runs in the higher frequencies balanced with the underpinning roots.
Cort has gotten good at making basses and theyre starting to put premium hardware on some of their basses like hipshot tuners and omega bridges. They are putting those companies that they make basses for on notice "we can build a bass just as good and put better hardware on it" Since they are churning out Korean imports for several manufacturers I would suggest giving them a look before buying a bass they made anyway with inferior hardware.
I’ve been playing electric guitar for a lot of years and I want to make the switch to bass and I’m really loving the sound of cort and I am on the fence about 2 models this one and the cort action dlx AS they are quite similar and I was wondering if you could help with telling the difference
Hey Shadowcrusher! One of the notable differences would be the body and the wood made to use it. The AS model uses a Swamp Ash body and the bass on display in the video is made from Poplar. The neck is still Canadian Hard Maple, as well as the frets which are made from Jatoba. All of the electronics (Mark Bass MB-1s) and pick-ups (Bartolini PDX-4s) are identical, as is the scale, neck radius and 24 fret count. The natural resonance and characteristics of the wood, as well as the aesthetic, would be the main difference here.
The Amp is an EBS Magni 500 2x10 Combo. Really nice and compact, 4-Band EQ with a Frequency Sweep dial in the mid-range. What you're hearing from this video is coming out of the Carl Martin Pre-Amp. I'll drop a link to our site for the amp, looks like it's currently out of stock though! www.scan.co.uk/products/ebs-magni-500-210-bass-combo-300w-2x-10-plus-tweeter-soft-clip-4-band-eq-compressor-limiter

P.S.: Mine was bought 3 years ago and it has Rosewood and not Jotaba wood

@@chillitom4726 not me 🤣 glad i got rid of that crappy lyon washburn
To get the true nature of the beast
That was incredible.
The intro sounded like something Jason Newsted would play, also the tone is super close to his Black Album tone.

Would you say Cort is better than Harley Benton compared by price?
Cory are allways fantastic value for money in my experience

Hi sir, which one do you prefer? Sire M2 or this one? I'm planning to buy my 1st bass. Thanks :)
Does it require a battery if I play it in passive mode?
