In April, 2020, I took ANA’s premium economy for KUL. I was only one passenger of premium economy. A flight attendant cared about ANA’s bankruptcy. I’m Japanese and happy with ANA’s recovery.
Great trip report! Love your enthusiasm and detailed reports. Love Vancouver, I proposed to my now Husband (we live in Sydney) inflight on an Air New Zealand to Vancouver! Glad you like ANA, we've just booked a trip to Japan flying ANA, this will be our much delayed honeymoon, married nearly five years, finally our honeymoon time! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this helpful review. Am wondering if the legrest is comfortable for many hours, seems like the legrest leaves lower leg & foot kind of dangling?
You do know that Premium Economy on ANA (and JAL for that matter) includes lounge access. So you should've been granted ANA Lounge access purely on your boarding class, without Priority Pass.
Not saying I don’t believe you but I’m confused. Verbatim from ANA’s site: “Premium Economy passengers on ANA-operated international flights can access "ANA lounges" at Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, Kansai Airports and Honolulu Airport.” Emphasis on “ANA-operated.” Confused!
Very nice and detailed review Alvin. I will be taking the same flight and SAME SEAT soon. But I’m a bit confused, my ticket says NH801 is operated by Air Japan (low cost division of ANA). However, Air Japan website says they’re not operating NRT-SIN route until April 26, 2024, and my flight is several days before that. I’m now left wondering what kind of in-flight service/experience I will get. Not to mention that all videos that I’ve seen about Air Japan only show ONE-CLASS Economy on their flights. 😓🥺😰🥶
@@onemoreweektogo As of 4/23, it was still serviced by ANA, not Air Japan. Let’s see if they will switch over to Air Japan when I go from SIN to NRT on 5/15.
Another amazing video! I almost booked NH802 for the SIN-NRT leg of my trip in November, but ended up booking a Scoot flight in "Plus" class instead, I hope I don't come to regret it having seen the alternative now 😖
Nice reviow, thanks It looks like a good premium economy product, however JAL has 42 inches of pitch with the seat in a hard shell so the recline does not affect the person behind. That might be more expensive though. Both good products though.
I’ve flown both products. At 6’2” tall, the 42” pitch is nice. But I found the ANA seats, despite being smaller, easier to sleep in. I also thought the food on ANA in PE was a little better. In business, I’ve flown both, but have yet to try ANA’s new product, the Room. I found food on JAL business to be a little better. Service on both is outstanding, even in economy. Our flights take us both to Japan and SE Asia. We prefer the Japanese airlines, even more than Singapore Air because SFO-Sing is just too long a flight for these old bones. Ten hours to Japan, a break there then 7 to Sing is a lot more comfortable.
I have been dying to try this airline for so long, but since I'm an AAdvantage member, I got the chance to try their Japanese counterpart instead (JAL), lol. Hopefully, I can sample ANA in the future....cuz sometimes ANA provides cheaper tickets, but sometimes...it's United that provides cheaper ANA tickets.
I don`t recall ever having seen a bad review for ANA. I appreciate the effort you put into your videos Alvin. Thank you!
ANA #3 in the world 2023 probably why never see bad review. 👍

Always love your detailed reviews and cinematography! Congrats on another amazing video 🙌

Thank you James! That’s so awesome that you proposed inflight! I bet you both love flying haha. Enjoy Japan! I’m sure you’ll love ANA as well!
Nice video, I love how sleek everything looks. Can't wait to fly them in First in October!
I Like The Product Premium Economy.Great Trip Report
I took this as well! was such an enjoyable flight !
Great video. Nice job!
Thxs for sharing a trip to Singapore
Unrelated, but what is your camera setup?

Our itinerary was ticketed under United. We had an inbound from SFO on United premium plus.

Did you had much space to lean your seat back?
Lovely work Alvin, great impressions and views !! 🔥😍
Thank you Rishi!! 🙌🏻
It wouldn’t be a review without the safety leaflet, tray table and toilet 😂 !
I've flown this multiple times and alwas got an acces to ANA lounge.

Hmmm that is weird indeed! Hopefully you'll get the full premium economy service!

They didn’t. As of May 15, NH802 from SIN to NRT is still full-on ANA service.
So ANA will still deny you access to the lounge because of overcrowding even thought you pay to use it?
Your videos always feel super premium, keep it up Alvin :)
Thanks for your support! ✌🏻
Hey - so the row in front of you has to look down like that to watch the tv? Also, how is the recline in your seat vs the row in front of you?
Yes the TV has to be deployed from the armrest. Recline in my seat was the same as the one in the front I believe.
@@onemoreweektogo Ok thanks! Assuming more leg room in front row though? Which would you go with if you flew again?
What camera do you use to film your videos?
Sony a7r4
Gorgeous cinematic video, as expected! I'd like to try ana sometime they've always seemed impressive to me
Thanks Vic! Definitely worth trying out imo!
Didnt even start the video yet but already know it will be a masterpiece
Thank you Lars!! 😁
lovely trip review. By any chance would you remember is Pre-Eco pax can use J class washrooms?

You can provide a nice comparison experience to mine! 😁
may i please know your height? just want to estimate the leg room thanks.
I'm 5'7"
@@onemoreweektogo thank u. do they have their own lavatory section?
unfortunately not, it is shared with economy. You can see the seatmap for this plane here: www.aerolopa.com/nh-789-2
Nice reviow, thanks

Wonderful video Alvin! I love how small this premium cabin is, separated from us peasants back in economy 😂
Hahah well I’m sure you will have the best seat of all up front in the cockpit 🤣

You need to get some Star Alliance status haha
Oh no! That is a hard Landing!
First here!!
their premium economy presentation is poor
