I was excited to see this video as I have just started a tray of Sundews (Alba's) do you start right out with the multi color lights with these? I have 3 options on my lights, white, red, white and blue, and then the typical grow light colors. My adult dews seem to do better under the red, white, and blue light.
Can you please do me a favor and tell me how much water to keep on my plants because I don’t have a printer right now and I can’t print out the sheet that you provided
Great video as always! Does tiny spider webs, can be mites but i do think it can be shrooms, they grow like that in the ground or in old tree remains, like when you pull a wooden log in the forests. Its so cool to grow stuff from seeds and be very profitable if you can do it in the long run👍🗿
i have not had luck with the water germinartion i saw it on a facebook group and thought i would give it a go with the seeds i got on the internet ( they look like flytrap seeds) but never used. Did not work and they just started molding and stick together in the water. Oh well. I will do some crossing with the new plants i get next year i think . i may cross something like bloody nurse with Chinese dumpling if i can get those once next year
Steven told me that if you see it get cloudy at all to abort and put the seeds on soil. I boiled the test tube's and used freshly filtered water. Ev and Em Carnivorium have a great video.
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub i just threw them away as it were old seeds and i just wanted to do something with them i had them stored in a fridge. Maybe i have more luck next year with fresh seeds ! i just ordered the macro lense for my phone you used sadly the code didnt work anymore
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub i live in germany so thats not an option as they wont go through customs. California carnivores already tried to send me some seeds
OK, I got my meter and I am realizing that my Venus flytrap is in a substrate that is highly absorbent and doesn’t really drain very well. However they are happy as holy crap in it. So maybe that’s what they like. Anyway I tested their water and it was 56 ppm first cycle, so I’m gonna try to re-drain it again. Please advise me on what I should do.
I got all six of my fly traps out back in the sunlight ones out of its terrarium, and the other three have their lids off sitting in the sun enjoying themselves😊
I have two very important questions. First question can I put my Venus fly traps in direct sunlight inside a terrarium ? and second question what causes Venus fly traps to grow massive traps? Is it true that it’s just the heat? And how can I ensure that my traps will come back huge after a dormancy?
Venus flytraps should be in direct sun yes. However, you need to keep an eye on the heat inside the terrarium, id it gets too hot it can kill them. For size, there are many factors. The right water, the right amount of sun the right substrate. Also the genetics of the plant is a huge factor. Just give it correct care after dormancy and it should be fine.
As for the substrate, it looks about to be what you guys have in the store for fly traps and pictures. Would you recommend that over the Peatmoss and silica?
I’m trying to repot my Venus fly traps and I couldn’t find silica sand would hold cultural sand for indoor plants work. It says it’s recommended for potting mixes to help promote drainage. Would this be OK? Please got somebody to let me know that knows what they’re talking about.😅😢
I'm selling soil now too, you can get it here. www.carnivorousplantshub.com/collections/premium-substrates Its hard to say with the sand. If it's not silica based it could leach stuff into the water and substrate. I also have crushed glass for sale that you could use as an additive in place of sand. I use glass in my mix.

Very cool and different video

I decided to just let thr click and grow run with them. They seem to be doing really well. It only has the one light.
@@CarnivorousPlantsHub I didn’t really understand the comment. Do you think the sand I described in my above comment it’s sufficient?
Would you recommend repotting during this time of the month right now straight out of a terrarium and keeping them indoors?

Yes, just keep giving them the best care you can.

I’ve already got the Pete Moss and paralite
But wouldn’t it be better just to get some soil from Carnival carnivores or is what you showed us in the potting so that you use better????

@@CarnivorousPlantsHub so would you just recommend I stay with the moss and perlite? And leave out the sand.?
Or would that be bad?
