Nice reaction, recommend to react to the 2 starting tracks of Opeth’s Watershed album: Coil & Heir Apparent in one sweep. First is very mellow- with a big surprise mid-into the song, second one might be Opeth’s heaviest song ever

amazing. at this point opeth was probably the greatest progressive metal band in the world. i hate it when unknowing reactors pick performances like royal albert hall or redrocks. by then mikael's growls had deteriorated significantly. this is his voice in peak condition.
Totally agree, Lamentations is probably their most incredible performance and where Mikael's vocals were prime. He just cannot do those gruff vocals like he used to but it's got to knacker your throat doing them
@@Powick01 With the right technique, there will be no problem with vocals. He used to use normal sound production techniques, but by 2008, maybe he stopped doing this because he stopped training extreme vocals due to the fact that he decided to abandon it in future creativity. That is why he sounds so bad now, although at the last concerts he was much better, in some interview he said that he started practicing again, and the fact that he quit smoking played an important role.
@@Powick01 I saw them in concert a few days ago, he may not be in his prime now for obvious reasons but the growls were absolutely fantastic, miles better than the Albert hall recording

This track is off the third album My Arms Your Hearse.... released 1998 . The band were definitely finding their feet by this album. I have been a fan from the very beginning. Loved the Bee joke Suzie 😂😂.
