The developers of 7 Grand Dad really put a lot of work into making Grand Dad's design as perfect as possible. It's so original, it's a shame that Nintendo copied it with Luigi from Super Bros.

Actually i just remembered, this was never planned to be the finale, 2 days later they started posting multiple shitty rips for Halloween, i believe it was a full week, and their subs where crashing hard, before it was revealed that woodman was doing this, that then led to the CCC, that was supposed to be the final arc before they shut it down, but they got a "third wind" and delayed the CCC

Grand Dad is a bootleg, but atleast his design on the title screen is completely original and isn't copying anything. It is a bit similar to Luigi's design, but they added their own twist to it. They made him a different color and shortened him, which is enough for me.

What if it's '7 Grand Dad', as in 7 Grand Dads as in 14 Generations ago?
Maybe that's the explanation of the Flintstones Mario- it's intended to be Stone Age Mario ancestor.
I only just guessed this maybe I'm dumb.
An average generation is about 30 years, so 30 times 14 is about 420 years (nice). This would still place the theoretical Grand Dad here within the Mario Renaissance, as 1992-420=1572. This however treats the date on the cartridge as the actual time of 7 Grand Dad. We could instead base off the earliest use of plumbing and other technologies such as the drawbridge (castle icon in original mario game / final boss stage) which gives us a timeframe of about 2000 years ago. Applying this, Italy (assumed due to ancestry) 2500 years ago would be under the Estruscans and other tribes, with Rome just beginning to form. This theory can happen, but things need to be changed for a stone age area to occur 420 (nice) years before the original Mario game.
3 years, time flies by so fast... I remember the day I found this rip. I was utterly confused, only getting Grand Dad himself and Misha's Pokemon Go at the time. Coming back to this rip and knowing every single reference only gives me more respect for this masterpiece. Thank you Siiva team, not only for making this rip, but for not ending the channel in 2016. I may have not been here for the entire ride (Sadly I didn't stick around after the halloween rips), but I thoroughly enjoyed the first halloween rips, season 3 and season 4.

Hearing a robotic voice go "I haven't slept in so long, I forgot what dreams were like" Made me think that maybe I should occasionally start actually turning off my laptop at night.
Okay, I wasn't originally going to post this (mostly because it probably would have gotten lost in all the other comments) but I feel the need to. I just can't get it off my mind. This channel has honestly been such a journey to tag along with and has been the source of happiness and memes for me for as long as it's existed. I remember I found it sometime in June or May, I can't remember too well, and I was really confused. I came here looking for plain video game music, and instead I had found a rip. I didn't understand the meme or joke, but after looking around the channel some more I had realized it was a parody account. I thought it was neat and subscribed.
Since then I've been watching rips of some of my favorite game soundtracks and also other ones that people would reccommend to me. I've loved every rip. There's not one that I disliked. Every single one of them was perfect. I always looked forward to checking the channel every day to see what new rips had been uploaded.
Though I was mostly a lurker and hardly ever commented, I feel it necessary to comment here and tell about how much this channel has affected my life. I wouldn't have found out about so many memes without this channel. Grand Dad has become my favorite meme, and I've started to love a lot of other different memes as well. I always love coming back here and listening to my favorite rips. And I will continue to do that.
I just want to thank the Siiva team. Thank you for everything you guys have done. Thank you for the rips, the fun times, the LORE, the japes, and for this channel in general. Your hard work really paid off. You've made so many people happy. You've dragged so many people down into true meme hell. It was such a fun journey and I enjoyed every moment of it.
I saw this video last night at 4 am and couldn't stop crying. Maybe I was being overemotional because I was tired, or maybe they were real tears. I can't even tell. But I do know that although this and a few other rips will make me sad about the death of this channel, I respect your opinion and hope that you all have fun doing whatever you're going to do now.
