I just got back from a quilt retreat also. Eight of us ladies in a rental that is specifically for quilting retreats located in Grass Valley, CA. We also do our meals the way you do, but no purple soup for us! The camaraderie and female energy was fabulous. We were age 34-84 and even had 3 generations of one family attending. We were exhausted from all the belly laughs. We also learned new things from one another. 😊Ah, the power of women!
I love your videos. Thanks for doing them for us.😅
Love the tomato 🍅 quilt behind you it’s beautiful 🤩 the colors. Have a wonderful week and happy quilting 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Love hearing about your adventures ! Thanks for another video.
What a wonderful retreat you had with your friends. I’m jealous of your Quilt Angel! The Pincushion Quilt is fantastic, I have to check that one out. I’ve never seen the Fishbowl quilt before either. Quilting is going to bring all of your new quilts to life. Thanks for sharing Sew-Delightful, a very nice shop. Take Care!
Enjoyed this video so much.. sounds like a really good retreat. So much fun.. take are and keep you tubing.

So glad you had fun. I just returned from Paducah Quilt Week. Had the best time ever with my Enablers. Spent money on wonderful fabric, patterns, etc., ate good food and laughed so much. Getaway trips are the best.
Glad your retreat was fun.
Love the Tomato quilt & the blue Jean fabric!
I always look forward to the quilt shop tours.
We have predicted rain for a week here in WI.
Marilyn
Love Sun River!!
❤👏👏👏👏👏
I'm glad you had a great time with friends! Anna, thank you very much for letting us know about the new fabric store in Madras. I love the Quilt Shack in Prineville! Prineville will host a quilt show in June I think. I didn't visit the discounted fabric in the basement of the Tater patch this visit. Maybe next time. Your projects look wonderful! Take care! Marion in Gresham.
I have the tomato hanging in my sewing room! It was so fun to make. Wonderful video, thank you!
P.s. love the bag
I need that quilt genie. So so very much
Hello Anna. I agree the bag is gorgeous. It does remind me of a bag by Annie, she is great for them. She has so many good patterns. And the zipper is one of the zippers by the yard put out by Sallie Tomato. Glad that you enjoyed your retreat. Have a good week
I made the tomato pincushion quilt when I retired!!! Loved doing it with bits from my stash....but only once! Glad you had a great time!
Loved hearing all about the fun retreat. Looks like Enzo is enjoying hearing about it too.😅. ❤❤❤
Beet soup is purple also and very delicious.
Oh, I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea!! Cerulean is a beautiful shade of blue and the “c” is pronounced with an “s”. It has always been one of my favorite colors. I just learned there will be a sequel coming out as well. Happy reading!❤️
I have the Robins Nest book also. Have not made one but it’s on my list. I got it when my 3rd granddaughter was a baby. Just found it the other day. She is 10 now but I want to make it. It will have to be on next years list😆. Just love it
Your retreat sounded amazing. I would like to be on the waitlist for your quilting angel. 😂 I’m halfway through the audiobook of The Soul of an Octopus and I’m really enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation.
Thanks for showing off Sew Dee-Liteful Quilt Shop. Hope to see many of you at the Shop Hop May 17 & 18th 2024.
Wish I was able to make it… hope it is a fun day for all!!!
I've come to realize what a gift it is 'to get older!' Viva la vida!
Oh my gosh, Anna! You had an awesome time at your retreat ❤ I love the quilt tops your "Quikt Angel 😇 " finished for you. Does she need a new friend? I showed my hubby the fish bowl. He was impressed. We have Grandson #1 going off to college in the fall for Marine Biology. I'm hoping the shop can help me out. I stopped the video and sent them an email 😊 So happy for you😊 Oh, yes, I gave you a thumbs 👍 👌 👏
It sounds like you had a wonderful time. You do so many beautiful projects and I love that you share as you go. Keep smiling.
Sounds like the retreat was just what you needed!! I howled when you talked about the purple soup. I'm pretty sure I would have tried it LOL. That Laura Heine quilt is freaking gorgeous! That is the one pattern of hers that I have on my list. I laughed when you showed the jeans backing because have been buying and using that fabric for several years! I've sold many journals made from that fabric! I simply love it; however, I've never actually used it as backing (smile). Thanks for sharing about the retreat and the new shop. I hope everyone has an chance to stitch or quilt with a group of fabulous friends. That is why I encourage people to find a local quilt guild. You don't have to go all the time, just when you need your soul filled. Also small groups break off from the larger group, so I encourage everyone to seek out their local guild if they need to find some quilting pals. Hugs from NE Ohio.
Retreat sounded amazing! Great that you got the time to see/get together with your other group, as well. Always seems that there is never enough time to fit everything/everyone in. Love the work that your “Quilt Angel “ does, such beautiful results. Enzo looks relaxed and glad that you’re home too 🐾
Thank you both for doing this sew along!!
Groups of friends are the best ! Love the fish bowl quilt …. So unique !
The pin cushion is beautiful. Glad you had a good time at the retreat. Still haven’t made it to one yet…but one of these days…
How I wish it was a retreat on this side of the states…we’d have a good time❤️
Enjoyed all you shared and so glad you had a wonderful time at the retreat. Getting together with longtime friends who share history is an amazing gift.
Good day! Just wanted to say “hello”. I’ve been feeling down but I knew listening to you and your adventures would help. Thank you fellow Oregonian.❤
LOVE the pin cushion! I laughed when you talked about bathroom breaks! Sounds like me! Lovely projects!
Well, if you didn't have a great time to be green over..............and that bag is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. And ONE leaf.........ONE leaf.........my my my........lol lol lol AND for a quilt shop that is not huge, it's pretty large. I wish we had a quilt shop that "small" near to us over here on the NH/VT border. I'd be needing to bring a lunch if there was a shop larger than this one near us!!!!!! and by near us, I mean at least an hour's drive. Well.........looking forward to our next visit. Blessings to you and G.
Beautiful angel work oh my! Yes Madras shops are fun to visit, hard on the pocket book. Giggle 🤭
Hehe what fun on the retreat esp purple soup!😂😂😂 Love the quilt behind you!❤
Hi glad you had fun that is a blessing that ya can get together love the tomato quilt an fish bowl i like thanks from Indiana
Wonderfully pieced quilt tops.
Thanks, Anna! Yes, getting older is kind of a shock . . . not sure why! Glad you had such a wonder-filled week.
So happy to hear about your fun retreat with your fabric stalkers. That 108 blue Jean wide back is neat. I would put my quilt label on the Jean pocket! Wishing you a wonderful weekend 😊
I so enjoy your videos!! I am sitting in my bedroom at 5am in the UK watching this and laughing out loud about your purple hands and soup! I love it 😂😂😂
Oh good coffee with Anna this morning.
Oh for a retreat to attend.Has been several years. So happy for you and your friends. Saw some yummy fabrics at the new store in Madras. Will have to check out their website. I only buy now for specific projects. Have enough stash for another 60+ years. Time to start destashing. What fabulous projects you shared. Such a special "angel" you have. Do you know the pattern name for the bag your friend made? And where did she find that zipper? Too cool. Have fun finishing your quilt tops. The fish bowls are the best.
Glad you had a great time at your retreat, sounds like a great group of women to be with. It’s so nice to have life long friends, they are so special.
I have the tomato pattern, I need to start working on it, yours is beautiful!
Thank you for sharing! Beautiful tomato!! I also like the fish bowls.
The retreat sounds amazing. We are getting rain here in Kansas as well. Thanks for sharing the shop and the 108 (jean) fabric was too cute. Glad you made it home safe.
Thanks for sharing ❤
I'm so glad you gained the refreshment of long-time friendships reconnecting over stitching. No one enjoys them any more than you. I don't know if I missed it, but did you give your quilting angel anything to look forward to next year to keep her (an you) going? Seems like you have found a way to lighten your closet collection of kits and another thing to look forward to for these reunions. The tomato is beautiful. The years seem to fly by, but as we get "softer" (better word than more fleshy), they cut deeper and leave their lines behind more easily That is my theory as to why my reunion groups seem to look like they are aging more quickly each year.
Your hand stitches are so beautiful.
What a great week you had! I was at a quilting retreat also - The Sister Chicks quilt retreat in Albion, Idaho. It was fun and interesting and we had great food from a very talented committee! We even went on a field trip to the Gathering Place, which is an outstanding quilt store in Rupert, Idaho. Check out Di’s blogs on her Sister Chicks utube station to see what’s up with that.
Missed you! Glad you had a great time❤
I had to look up purple carrots. They have antioxidants and twice the alpha and beta as orange carrots. Who knew?
Love the tomato quilt! Well, the bird one too! Oh, heck, all of them 😂! Anna! Do you do straight-line quilting or meander on your quilts? Any tips for how you quilt on a domestic machine? I sold my long arm, and I have four quilts that need quilting, but I'm so scared and, to be honest, not sure how to manage? I can do straight lines but would like to try something other than that?!? Any tips and tricks would be awesome. Thank you. I love you and spending time with you always ❤
Such a fun visit Anna!
Love your Laura collage ❣️ Makes me want to do my 🦒 kit❗️
How fun, looks like you and friends really enjoyed your time. Is it possible to get the tomato kit or pattern somewhere?. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Nice shop.
Welcome back. Sounds like you had a great retreat.
Wowzer!!
I was hoping you would give the recipe for the soup. It sounded really good. Enjoyed your stories about the retreat.
sure am happy for you that you enjoyed your retreat but I search you tube everyday looking for you
check out book The Vanishing of Margaret Small. Thought provoking .
The spool wall hanging is a Buttermilk Basin pattern. I am not sure if it is still available.
Hi Anna, the quilt top behind you is gorgeous! I love quilt tops that are collages. Are all the stuff around the borders appliqué? Love your channel ❤️ Sharon AKA Every Day Stitcher 😊
Yes, it is! Fusible appliqué 😍
Love listing to your recent quilt retreat. What did you use on the embroidery piece you showed tonight. You traced the pattern on something white and had it on the background fabric and were embroidery
Anna, Do you happen to have the name of the denim fabric you showed on A Special Retreat? I need to purchase some. Really like the pincushion wall hanging.
I couldn't find a phone number for the back porch. Do you know the number? I love that fish bowl quilt. I'm so glad you had a great time. Love ya ❤
If your friend made the pouch did she create the pattern and would she sell the pattern
The bag pattern is Travel Essentials 2.0 byAnnie. Your friend is talented
