I love bmc but I mean for this bike to be 5k and the tarmac sl7 be the same price but be fully integrated, kind of seems like the tarmac is the better choice
Ok I definitely like this spot where your showcasing the bike a little better then the other spot. Its the grass and plants there and the really smooth pavement
The SLR one that I got last year was 5500 with Force Etap. I love that thing, such an upgrade from the Domane AL3 that I had for the year before upgrading.
@@peterho3299 Yes, they seem to still be doing fine. I got the bike in march and have put 1200 miles on it. I was gone for two months and was unable to ride, otherwise there would be many more miles on it. I have started getting a few flats on the rear recently (2 since I hit 1000 miles, none before). The only other issue I have is the chain drops of the front chainring when shifting from big to small more frequently than I would think is reasonable.
@@Reaper006 - interesting and similar to my experience over the first 1700+ miles. I had annoying FD chain drops too (always big to small chainring). The shop adjusted the FD without success. Then I did so myself per SRAMs instructions, but it still happened. So I installed a K-Edge Pro chain catcher. Problem solved. Hasn't happened again. You should consider it. I also had 3 front tire flats (never rear) in my first 300 miles, so swapped out the Vittoria Rubinos for Conti GP5000s. So far so good. Happy riding.
I had been a black-or-white-bike guy as well as a save-the-rim-brake guy. I guess that I was just being extremely conservative. Now by some really weird chance, a very beautiful bike which I waited for 6 months arrived damaged, their customer service was just bullshit so that I had to return that bike to avoid future problems. And I might end up with this particular BMC because of its availability. By looking at the photos, I can’t say that I hate it. (I “hated” 99% of bikes out there, so I guess it's a good sign.) I am not sure of how I will get along with it, but we will see, probably it’s a good chance for me to get out of my comfort zone a bit, and try something I had refused to try years ago?
Do you have any idea about cube bikes? I am looking at cube nature and I am between that and the Scott sub cross 50 (at last they will be both available in two months). If you can give me an opinion about which of the two I should buy I would appreciate it
@@GCPerformance18 much appreciated! I still have your opinion about the Scott so on one hand I am complete. It looks like the cube is more like a city bike I think, or just ride it in a straight terrain road. It has the German style all over it which is not an issue. Plus there is also the difference in the fork. But the Scott….is Scott…you know what I mean right? 😆😆
Sorry to be off topic but, I need to know what K Edge mount was on the Alpinist handlebars in the Aethos Pro video. I've ordered one and Specialized has no mounts available.
Just picked up the SLR01 in orange over black. I’m coming over from a CAAD10. This thing rides so smooth, but lunges forward when you step on it. Picked this over the Orbea Orca OMX, the other bike that was on my short list.
I love the look of the teammachine, but that isn’t a lot of bike for the money. You’d be much better off going with a TCR or canyon ultimate at that price.
Maid in Switzerland? That's probably why it's like that. 18Lb 10oz with no pedals and no cages ? For 5k, I'm expecting 15pounds. I'd there a rim brake version of this bike ?
@@Imthekingofdogshite Thankfully, some of the manufacturers keep using convergent triangles instead of raising the top tube and lowering the seatstays like so many do today. Honestly..it okay but not for 5k...lol...I've seen better BMCs..maybe the color is throwing me off with the tires...i would rather see it in all matte black with cream/gum/naked side wall tires...it would look sick if it was a matte or satin blue..Im not into the shiny colors on certain bikes..good video though.
Very nice, I like. -Borat

Totally agree because for me its little things like integration that really makes a bike great
Then again there’s others that like to tinker and swap parts. Integrated everything with proprietary parts isn’t always good
Integrated sucks. Trust me 🙂

The SLR One I got 5 months ago also came with carbon rims (BMC in-house) that have held up quite well. Your CRD-51’s still in good shape?

Lovely to see a bike that's not matte black
lmao yes
That thing is a tank! 18 lbs 10 oz? The scott rc 10 you showed the other day crushes this into a deep black hole in space imo
lmao I know that bike I built was amaing
Love the color as well. My guy just wanted to ask , do you need to buy new ✋. Lol. Just kidding. Great reviews on your channel as always.
Hahahhaa new hands are always a must
If you were to build your own dreambike, what frame groupset and wheels would you choose?

shitttt infinite money, right now new dura ace and a sworks tarmac sl7 with a world champion build color..... and probably princton wheeels

Got the SLR Three, Great Bike
Basically the Four but with Ultegra Mec

Never bought a bike with a saddle that I could live with. Heard a lot of good things about the power saddle.
I have the power arc expert (it replaced a Syncros FL 2.0) which is a bit different from the power but I like it so far; it’s pretty comfortable
