This video saved me a lot of money. My brand is non existent right now and I was going to a marketing company who wanted to charge quite a bit of money when after watching this I see I’m not even ready to be marketing yet.
Intern sitting like a boss, boss sitting like an intern reminded me of Bertrand Russell: "The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.'
What an insanely negative assumption you made by simply looking at the way two individuals are sitting while having a conversation. I thought they both did an excellent job.
Alright so I'm one of those people who's been in the marketing business and didn't believe the hype. But what exactly is branding? I mean don't you have to build a brand with a lot of money? or does Jim only mean the brand itself, the things that as a branding marketing guy can control, such as the message, or the logo?
You don't need a lot of money to build a brand. But a company does need a vision that goes far beyond a logo and messaging. Proper branding also requires a lot of self-reflection from a business perspective both internally and externally. Many companies refuse to look at their business through the lens of customers and employees. They may not have a true understanding of how their brand is perceived. There are a lot of factors that come into play when It comes to branding because it is essentially the DNA of your business and how it operates. Every company has a brand, some are just more deliberate about building it which is why some companies can charge a premium while others cannot.
@@KarenJewels but what does that have to do with the APPLE they have as the logo?? I guess that's what I'm saying. I don't see how the apple relates to their message.
@@talkcafe1842 A more simplified version would be that an apple device costs a lot more (than necessary) which has turned its whole brand value as being seen as an Expensive device that only wealthy people can afford, hence, the race for status & prestige among people. Apple has been feeding off of it for quite a while now. No new inventions anymore. Just the race for who is wealthier.
@@kishorgartaula8775 They do not sell mediocre products that's for sure. I buy Apple because they are reliable and consistent with it. When I first went with Android I tried many companies and they all failed me. There was always some stupid errors or some bug that would make my program quit unexpectedly. I can also say the same for other devices. For TV, I tried Ruko and Chromecast.. all failed or were slow and buggy. I tried the regular Vizio TV and bam slow and buggy. I brought the Apple TV and I am not surprised at how good and consistent they are! Same with the watch I brought multiple Fitbits and they all failed me by either peeling or being uncomfortable. The Apple Watch has been on my wrist for three years. You would be bad at marketing because you did not actually do your research on the average Apple user.

understanding the magic of branding is making me feel like I'm starting to see the light

That’s great self-observation. Don’t underestimate the power and reach of effective marketing though.

true, that was the only annoying thing during the video - his leg lol
Selcuk Akyuz 💯👍🏻
I disagree he is young not stupid - no doubt the guy on the left is a boss :-)
That Intern brands himself as a Boss.

Marketing is the sails, the brand is the rudder.
Branding is meaningful differentiation. Without this, a company is a mere commodity.
Simple point taken. This is brief and to the point. Thank you!
Thank you :) I feel more prepared to my exam in marketing now :)

Still hard to understand!!
I don't get Apple's brand, but they make a lot of money.🤔
Apple's brand is about selling innovation and infinite possibilities.

This is spot on. When I think of Apple I think of new technology and flexibility.

How do you sell a client on branding that only wants design?
By having a brand of your own
You have to educate the customer on what the difference is and why they need it ...this requires having a good sales strategy of your own.
Thank you!
