Chinese GP Changes A MASSIVE DANGER For F1 Drivers!

  • Formula One returns to China for the first time since 2019 and the F1 grid is not happy about it. The last time anyone on the grid raced this track, it was on old F1 cars, on tiny tyres, and the track was in far better condition. Big changes have happened to the Shanghai International Circuit and with a sprint race thrown in as well, it could be a chaotic weekend. Today I’m going to check out the changes to the track, the massive impact they could have on the drivers safety, and why this is the worst possible time for a sprint weekend, so don’t go anywhere.

This is just one more example on the people currently running the sport are incapable on creating a new f1 calendar, making correct decisions and adding new race track that the fans want. But instead they would rather double down on street track slop. This will be repeat on a controversial weekend in Las Vegas or worse

@@srthebox4946 Shanghai maybe one of the best circuits for racing however the way that the FIA and f1 are organising the race as a sprint weekend is completely unacceptable. They have not raced there since 2019 and Las Vegas had a lot of problems despite of the race itself.

I believe F1 put a sprint race here just to create as much chaos as possible to stop Red Bull from winning.. which Zandvoort 2023 already proved to be insanely diffecult.

These poor teams having to go into a race weekend with a bunch of unknowns. I feel so bad for them. Such a bunch of complainers. Set up the cars, put some fuel into them and go racing. End of story. And good on F1 for forcing a sprint race. Fans ask for more dedicated tracks instead of street circuits so they schedule a race and a sprint at a dedicated track.

I agree the race has the recipe to turn in to carnage, the rebuild could cost a fortune. I think they have looked and seen this as a chance to as they put it Spice up the spectacled and they have not thought of the drivers or the cost for the teams. I just call it Artificial. I just hope if it is carnage no driver gets hurt with their cost cutting artificial spice up stupid sprint.

They drive since years like robots around a track, yeah its cool for hotlapping but cmon. Everyone loves Rain races but oh noo, the track isnt grippy and it feels like rain but we are on slicks, oh thats Dangerous but No no lets Race in the rain, there we see whos really fast, yeah ignore the sprey and that you cant see the Car Standing in the middle of the road killing you. cars spinning and not going fast cause they are too fidgety into corners is not fun to watch, and we don't have too much practice lmao. we should be having enough practice where they can tune their cars to be perfect so we can see great racing between the drivers and engineers. You seem to forget that its an engineering race first then drivers, and if the surface would feel like its raining but they would have to drive on slicks you do realise no one could drive then? the cars wouldn't stop. thats why we have the rain weather tyres... It seems like you have good intentions but are just misinformed or don't care to find out actual information. @@Jasongilliar

@@FaceFish9 i watch since 2010. In turkey, did you watch turkey 2020? And yeah ofc tuning there cars etc, but did you see what happends if you dont have enough time to figure it out (red bull in singapore) they couldnt understand the setup and where at the back, less practice = a more mixed up grid. Yeah it isnt a driver sport but there are so many opertunitys missed out. It wouldnt even be artificial because it would just add more challange to it for the teams etc, we now have a cost cap where after every big rule change the packing Order is logged in what means most of the time one Team runs away because they found something and the other big teams cant spend enough money to catch up. So we need other things. Ofc we have cars who can follow eachother a bit better but cmon. I was even thinking about making every race a sprint race, but like 2023. Like practice and qualy for the race, than saturday is sprint day and based on the qualyfing for the race we make success balance like gt car, and points only for the drivers standings, while than for the main race on sunday everything is normal again. And like i said a track whos like driving on ice works just fine, prove is turkey and that race was awsome

I agree with @crunks420 and I watched F1 since 1990s and also haven't seen drive to survive. Forcing teams and drivers to learn new tracks is skillful, learning how much to push without becoming too dangerous is a skill for any driver/team. Why wet races are fun since it changes how the track works, and you cannot push so hard unless you want to crash.

None of this points means better racing and can have the opposite effect as the drivers are more likely not going to be able to follow close due to the increased tyre wear, less grip and higher risks exaggerated by the track conditions and limited set up times
