Maciej, that water at the front of the dam was dangerously deep! Don’t tell your brother but, he doesn’t have the dedication/finesse that you have as a manual dam destroyer. 😅 I’m sure he told you that you had done enough and look at all the sticks you were still removing. Good job you two! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

@@mariagdaws6083, I’m very slowly recovering from the knee replacement. It’s a torture not being able to do things as I want to. Other than that keeping busy sewing with fabrics I collected over time. We hit a balmy 13 degrees two days ago 😁. I planted seeds as usual in the solarium and will be lucky to put them out in June! 😂. I watch Tim Burbank’s channel from Queensland and loving all the places you probably get to see in person. @@msTECH86the reason you were still working is because the work wasn’t completed 😉. It shows how dedicated you are to your work. You work until you feel the job is done.
They are quite busy little engineers. Hard to believe the size and length of some of those logs. You seem to be enjoying yourselves, very well done sirs!

Wow, that was amazing! Soooo much water. The water in front of the dam was so deep and the flow of water was so strong. It looked at times hard to find and keep your footing. I was worried for you. It was awesome seeing the water receding and give back the land.
That was an incredibly huge amount of water. The erosion of the field on the left of the stream (looking upstream from the camera) was very obvious. That dam needed to go. At the same time, I noted how the beavers had cleverly built the dam in an arc for maximum strength to hold that amount of volume of water. Exactly how we humans build dams. That was a lot of work you put into that dam removal. Great work.
That is one huge dam that has been there a long time. At one point, I thought you were going to lose your camera with all the water pushing the logs. Great job from Canada 🇨🇦.
To be honest, I didn't expect such a high water level that would start to submerge the set up tripod. Fortunately, everything ended well.

When you do manual removal is it because the excavator cannot reach the damn? Is this always the reason?
Yes, this dam was about 30 meters long and flooded a very large area, so the excavator couldn't get to this place.
Why remove the pond? The haven for fish, birds and wildlife is so valuable, plus it´s beautiful to look at. So are you planning to build a home right there?
I don´t get it.

I'm always surprised by the size of the sticks / trees used. Beavers must be so strong, I know they float stuff, but they still use their mouths to move things. Amazing job, first by the beavers then by removal !!

That water being deep makes me feel there another dam holding that water besides the one you are working on .
The site immediately behind the dam is usually so deep because the water flowing from the dam washes the bottom of the stream. A few meters further it was much shallower. And the dam below was removed a few minutes earlier.

Good Evening from Western Australia. Oh my goodness what were those beavers on, Steroids!? I think you needed a wet suit In this quick sand of mud and a hose down before going into your house. That is his brother who normally operates the excavator when the dams are accessible to it. It is understandable that he would much rather be doing that. 😉

it is was mine, I would just let it be what the beavers built and ever fortify it if it is needed.
Of course, I am an avid fisher and might even stock it on occasion if needed.

Wow that's a big one ,the depth of the water has got to be a meter plus .Where is your chainsaw .This is one of the worst Huge dams I've see you two tackle yet That dam had to be 15 to 20 meters long and was there for a Long time ,this thing looks to be about 3 or 4 meters wide
I wasn't fully prepared for what we found on the spot, so I didn't have a chainsaw with me.
In fact, this dam was about 30 meters wide, we only removed its middle - where the stream is located. We left the rest.
A better view of this place will be when I mount the episode in the "chest cam" version.
Quite an impressive undertaking. What happens to all this wood you dig out, can it be repurposed, even as firewood?

Rozwalanie bobrzych tam nie jest niezgodne z prawem? Myślałam że bobry są pod ochroną i rolnicy dostają odszkodowanie jak za dziki.
Owszem jest nielegalne, gdy robi się to na własną rękę. Ja wykonuję zlecenia z Państwa, więc ani tych tam sam sobie nie wybieram, ani tym bardziej nie robię tego nielegalnie.
A usuwane są tylko te tamy, które naprawdę usunięte powinny być.

@@mariaok8832 Proszę. Dodam jeszcze, że w Polsce populację bobrów szacuje się na około 140 tysięcy sztuk, więc naprawdę nie ma szans na zaszkodzenie im poprzez usunięcie kilku tam raz na jakiś czas.
