Wait, the fox is guarding the henhouse. Clearly Filtered is making money off of their water filters and advertised contaminate removal claims. Then why doesn't Clearly Filtered submit their filters to the NFAS (National Sanitation Foundation) for official certification? This is 2023. To trust the claims of companies is BS. Berkey Water is under a class action lawsuit for their false claims. You almost had me until you admitted that Clearly Filtered isn't certified.

Nice job Alexa! Your video was very helpful. I have used a Berkey for ten years and but have fluoride in our water and just hated the whole process of the white fluoride filters. After watching your video I decided to order the CF pitcher and I love it. The only trouble I had was priming the filter. I have arthritis in my hands and it was very difficult to fasten the filter onto the priming bag tight enough, so the water just flowed over the top and no water came out of the bottom. After a few unsuccessful tries, I finally was able to grasp it with one of those rubber jar openers and twist it tight enough and it worked! Now I am enjoying fresh clean water. Thank you!

    Hi Alexa…
I just watched your video on the Clearly Filtered Water
    Pitcher. Very informative!
I would like to make a suggestion however.
I found myself rewinding the video over and over to understand what you were saying. You spoke very quickly and the acoustics in your kitchen amplified that problem.
I appreciate that you offer transcriptions but that kind of defeats the convenience of watching a video.
Please realize I am NOT critiquing your work to offend or upset you. Just giving you an older persons view of the video.
A lot of us older folks these days, rely more and more on videos like yours, they can and do make our lives much easier.
I appreciate the effort you put into your work.
I wish you well and will keep watching.
    God Bless

    Tips:
I got my Clearly Filtered Pitcher for around $64. It was on sale, plus I subscribed to the filter replacements.
When they're having a sale, and you are subscribed to the filter replacements, you can go into your account and apply the sale price to your already discounted filters.
Of course, your price per year of replacement filters depends on how much water you filter. For me, the filters will last 6 to 8 months, so only around $68 or less per year with the subscription discount, plus using a sale code. The pitcher holds 1/2 gallon of water, so you just calculate how many gallons you use per day. I only have to fill mine once a day, unless I need more for cooking or for guests. So I can use a filter for approximately 200 days. For me, 6 months is a good estimate, so only two filter replacements per year. Great value! Much cheaper, and so much easier than paying for and lugging heavy bottled water cases home, plus trying to keep stocked up.

We purchased two filters/pitcher over six months and can definitely see a reduction in quality. The second pitcher kept leaking from the same location and the replacement filter for the first unit couldn’t be activated. Clearly Filter customer service insists on customers troubleshooting with parts over a course of several weeks with gaskets and removing the filter and reattaching it. Return shipping is the responsibility of customer even if the unit is defective. Water from the second unit doesn’t even taste the same as the first unit. Not sure what’s going on here but the quality and the consistency is definitely degrading.

@@fatfishtaco I actually stopped using it. We have high TDS water in Missouri over 300... and the TDS after the Clearly Filtered didn't change much. I know it's supposed to keep in the "good" minerals... but I just didn't see much of a difference (before/after). Maybe if your town has soft water, you might get better results.
I decided to get the Zero Water filter instead, because at least it reduces TDS to zero. Then I can just add back my own minerals. I now make magnesium bicarbonate water... so the zero filter helps to get everything out.

Water Filter Guru did a review running water through multiple water filter pitcher systems, and then independently tested the water for contaminants, and Clearly Filtered was ranked #2 among something like 8 pitcher systems, if I'm not mistaken. Shower filters have pretty high flow rates but are rather small, so they tend not to remove a whole lot of contaminants. Seems to be a common misunderstanding that this Clearly Filtered Water Pitcher has a "lifetime warranty". It does not. According to the official website: "Clearly Filtered offers a limited lifetime warranty....This warranty does not include filters and expires after 24 months from the date of purchase for pitcher and bottles." Also, "For Inline Filters, like the UTS and Fridge Filter, this warranty expires after 18 months from the date of purchase and does not cover additional damage beyond the cost of the product." Verified this with a Customer Experience Agent.

So, the "limited lifetime" of 24 months for the pitcher being reviewed? 🙄 Simply stating @ 2:39 "the nice thing about this company is they do provide a lifetime warranty" is misleading or uninformed. It's a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase for this pitcher (no warranty on filters), far from what the average consumer would consider "lifetime". It seems Clearly Filtered only uses the buzzwords "limited lifetime warranty" in the hopes consumers won't delve into the warranty details.

NO tap water is "clean." The water processing plant cannot remove the drugs (illegal and prescription) that people flush down the toilet, or that pass through their urine. They ADD dangerous chemicals like chlorine and fluoride, which must be removed. After MUCH researching of other brands, I've used this filter for years, and it's fantastic!

And for Berkey (I'm assuming that's what you meant), their gravity water filters are pretty solid which is why it's our go-to brand for this type. They're NSF-tested to remove a whole bunch of contaminants.

I agree. You would have to conduct your own lab testing. We usually use the Premium Water Test by ETR Laboratories(etrlabs.com/product/premium-water-test/)

There is a video coming soon where we'll test the unfiltered vs filtered water. But there's no way we can test for all the contaminants that Clearly Filtered claims their pitcher can remove - this is far from trivial.

Anybody looking to buy this.... DONT. I had the worst experience with this company. Water takes 12 hours to filter. When I reached out to support they just said I didn't prime the filter correctly. I've owned several filters that needed priming and followed the instructions to the letter. I reached out several times in hopes of getting a replacement due to mine being defective and nothing. The pitcher is self is a design nightmare. The top lid is made of a piece of plastic that's thinner than a sheet of paper and falls off everytime you pour water. Save your $100 + Dollars.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. Did you have any problems using the priming disk/bag? Also, check this solution that they're providing in their FAQ section: help.clearlyfiltered.com/en-US/i-am-having-trouble-priming-my-filter--what-should-i-do-336518
I think "design nightmare" is a bit over the top to be honest. I don't see a problem in the top lid being thin. And for me the only time it could have fallen off was when I poured the last bits of water. But putting a hand on top is an easy way to prevent that - not perfect I agree but also not a deal breaker if you ask me.

@@boswater6065No, the instructions and video were easy to follow. I know I received a defective product. These filters are not cheap and Clearly Filtered support made no attempt to make it right. I’m not going to continue to purchase expensive filters I don’t even know work.

Everyone is different. However, listening ability comes first before speaking ability. It's a fact, and it comes mostly from North Americans, many speak too fast and don't enunciate properly as well. This has even been studied. This goes for listeners who are native-english speakers and non-english first language speakers. Read about it - N. Americans speaking has increased in speed but lost in clarity amd diction in the past decades. You can read about it, or just watch old tv clips anytime before the 80s.
