This song belonged to genre of Qawwali.
This was the last Qawwali of Amjid Sabri. He was murdered.
And I do recommend you to react on Chaap Talak by Rahat Fathe Ali. That is very amazing and relaxing Qawwali.

And one more thing I want to add, the grandfather of Rahat Fathe Ali named Nusrat Fathe Ali Khan is Ultimate legend and king of Qawwali. If you want to get goose bumps, must listen to NFAK.

Thanks for accepting my request so quickly, really really appreciate it.
Amjad Sabri belonged to the Sabri Brothers house of Qawwals. Qawwali is a genre of music with its roots in Pakistan/India. It is devotional/sufi/spiritual music. Singers doing Qawwali are called Qawwals. The Sabri Brothers played a big role in making Qawwali popular across the world. Their most famous qawwali is called 'Taajdar e Haram'. Amjad Sabri was a son of one of the Sabri brothers. A really nice and sweet person. He carried on the tradition of his elders and delivered qawwalis in different parts of the world. Soon after shooting the season 9 of Coke Studio he was assasinated in his home city. There are multiple versions but the most credible is that a particular terrorist-cum-political party wanted him to pay extortion money and was not happy with him, so they murdered him. A massive massive loss for the country. People were extremely sad and upset as he was such a sweet person and a powerhouse in the field of Qawwali. The Sabri style of qawwali is unfortunatley gone with Amjad's death. My eyes are almost wet while writing about it. May his soul rest in peace.
His performances in the Coke Studio (season 9) were his last major ones.
TBH I'm pleasently surprised that you liked this perforamce as Qawwali is a very different genre. If you're interested in the original Qawwali stuff you can try 'Taajdar e Haram' by Sabri Brothers. It is on UA-cam, a video recording from the 80s. I'd repeat that it's difficult to enjoy/appreciate qawwalis unless you know what they're singing about (captions on if available).
Rahat Fateh Ali's mentor - Nusraft Fateh Ali Khan, another qawwal with a very different style. A legend acknowledged around the world. A Google search will tell you a lot about him. He performed/collaborated with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Michael Brook. One of my favourite singers Jeff Buckley was a big fan of Nusrat and he even sang his songs in Urdu. Again, you can find a big number of Nusrat's performances on UA-cam.

What makes this particular recording even more special and heartbreaking is twofold. One: this was, as I understand it, supposed to be a dry run, well before the day on which the actual scheduled recording was to be made. The director for some reason decided he could feel the magic in the air and since everybody was already decked out and the lights and cameras were in place, he decided to go ahead and record it. And thank God he did. Even though the transitions between the two feel rawer and not as "polished" as other Coke Studio productions, somehow it makes this entire recording feel more natural. Two: the previous version of this was performed by NFAK and the original Sabri brothers three or four decades ago, which was the first time the two different vocal styles had ever been publicly meshed together on stage. I believe this is the only other time the two families' styles were showcased together, as an homage to their predecessors. This was also, chronologically, Amjadji's last known recorded performance - and I don't believe he ever got to see the final product. Which breaks my heart.

They both are legends and head of most famous music families of subcontinent. They were trained for music since 2-3 years of age and their families are maestro of music with at least 4-5 generations. They are representing singing styles and traditions of their families in Sufi based Qawwali

@@Paul-PharaohTV What's insane is that this was actually the dress rehearsal, not even the final performance (which was originally scheduled for a month later). The director and crew and all the performers realized that even though they hadn't worked out all the kinks, they already had something magical and decided to film it right then and there anyways in one take since all the cameras were already set up.
You can hear some of the "roughness" in the synchronization, but this performance is even more legendary for it. The date for which final performance was originally scheduled to be recorded and released ended up being after Amjadji was assassinated. Even though he never got to see the results, this song in particular is highly memorable for being both an homage to both of their gurus (NFAK and the Sabri Brothers) as well as for being a (sadly) once-in-a-lifetime collaboration with two masters from competing disciplines at the zenith of their abilities.

These Lyrics are almost 800 plus years old, and Rahat Fatah Ali Khan is a Nephew of Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, who was a famous Qawaali singer, and Rahat Fatah Ali Khan was still a kid when he used to sit and sing with his uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali. If you would search Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan's Qawwali, you would see a kid sitting next to him and singing, that kid was Rahat Fatah Ali.

What you have heard it’s classical Sufi music in the form of Qawali. These two guys are legends. One of them was murdered few years back. Music runs in their families from centuries, generation after generations. To sing they don’t need instruments. Their voice dominates over music instruments. On the other hand mostly singers these days need musical instruments to cover the weaknesses of their voice. They (Rahet Fateh Ali Khan) can sing for hours without musical instruments. Recently oxford university gave him Doctorate Degree in Music due to his great service for music.

The song is originally composed several centuries ago and the Sabri Bros first brought it to the attention of mass audience back in the 60s and their version is still considered the best ever. The elder Sabri brother's son Amjad, in this video, was considered an able successor and their version is the basis of this number. Compare the two leads here and you can see Amjad the superior classical and contemporary voice.
Please search UA-cam for Rang by Sabri Brothers to hear the original studio version. I will find it and give the link in comments.

Actually what you are listening to, is actually a form of poetry with music related to Sufism's traditional eastern ways, and the translation was quite wrong, so just leave it there, further, is a form of praising the saintly person Nizamuddin Auliya, while they were using typical indian style of talk of a specific area, so they were pronouncing Ni"ja"m ud din auliya, and this form of Qawali is called "Manqabat" (means praising of someone)

I think before Nusrat fath Ali Amjad sabri father Haji Ghulahm freed sabri was the best qwali singer in Pakistan but unfortunately Amjad sabri was murdered, now his videos left to remind his voice may Allah rest his soul in peace.

Amjad Sabri specialises in a type of music called Qwaali , music decimated to Sufism. Sabri RIP was an average singer and has no business sharing the stage with this legend but since this was a song about one the great mystics , Amjad was an good choice , because the Sabri family have dedicated generation of singers from their family to promote QWaali music through out the conteinent
