Met Denny at this years Coca Cola 600 and he signed my little brothers hat (along with every other fan asking for an autograph) even got a video of the whole interaction! Forever will appreciate Denny for taking the time for everyone in that 95 degree weather one of my favorite memory’s from any sporting event I’ve ever been to

IMO, there's a group of 4 or 5 guys that could go out and start a new league... Jordan, Hamlin Dale, Jr., Marks and Smith, if things don't go the way they want them to.

King George Speedway in Virginia is a great asphalt kart racing track ran by great people I think if we want to keep Racing alive tracks like King George Speedway is where it starts. I was a huge Earnhardt fan then Dale Jr … I’m a Chevy guy love NASCAR. Don’t really have one driver anymore, but I really like Hamlin at least he has personality and he’s one heck of a driver him and Larson the best in the business Larson’s probably the best overall driver, but Hamlin at least has personality. Hope he wins the championship.🤙❤️🇺🇸🏁

racing.... life, needs everybody. If everyone was the same, nothing would be exciting or fun or challenging. Bring on the diversity, bring on the characters, bring on the challenges. Racing... Life.... sorts itself out.... DEAL WITH IT. LOL. Kenny you are such a wonderful human, and a wonderful interviewer. Denny, thank-you for who you are, and what you bring to Racing regardless of the pushback and grit.
There is a solution to the charter nonsense. All the team need to get together and boycott the championships races. Let them try to run the "show" without any of the cup contenders or the other guys there. Nascar needs to be made to understand that they have no "show" without the big-name drivers. I'm not going to watch 2nd tier drivers and pay what they want for tickets. At some point they will get a clue or go out of business.
Especially in this stupid ass format. Exactly! I finally agree with something Hamlin said. The chase is luck not how good of a driver you are.
This was a well done informative interview. I wish NASCAR would move more to the center. Maybe if the drivers don't show up and they encourage the fans to stop watching as well, it would get NASCAR's attention.
Is the France family in a financial position that would allow them to walk away and simply write off the loss? Any chance they're just tired of it all?
At 1:14.27 Dennis talking about pain to move negotiations. This is when all team agree to no show up one weekend. THAT will be pain for NASCAR. But I also am a realist and it will cause pains for the teams and the teams are unwilling to accept that pain to leverage their position.

Well i think the pot needs some stirring. Whats going on with that charter deal is not fair to the teams at all. Whats right is right and what is wrong is wrong. NASCAR's position on this is just plain wrong, enough said really.
@@acidreign8551 I agree the teams are getting screwed over. I love these two together. Much would be brought to light and have to be addressed or the fan base could go elsewhere for their racing entertainment.

After watching this, i have gone through and looked at a lot of the comments and it seems to be mixed, a lot of people "Hate" Denny. I must ask the question: Why? I really don't have a favorite driver per se`. I just like to see good racing. Like Denny said, anyone can just go out there and take people out to win races, but the thing is doing that is not racing. Now i have drivers i don't care much for, and those are the guys that have a reputation of initiating those events. Without naming any names, we all pretty much know who those drivers are. I have no respect for that stuff. What i do have respect for is guys that can drive and win without resorting to that kind of mentality.
But you Denny "Haters", or any other driver "Hater' out there, just why? I don't get it. Hate is a very strong word, and a lot of you haters out there act as if he did something personally to you, which he has of course never done. I just don't understand it.
We all have things we love or "Hate" about NASCAR including myself, but i have never had "Hate" for any driver.
What i do have respect for is is not only his skill, but also the cajones to put it all out there as most drivers won't, or are being told not to tell it how it really is out of fear of retaliation by NASCAR in some way.

Kenny!, lol. A little story, Denny was remodeling that house beside Joe Gibbs house and he is rarely there, all the toilets were taken out of the house, I had to piss (about 11:00 am) I can't hold it any more, so I went outside a basement door in the trees between his and Joes house. Zip up and turn around, Denny is standing in the door way watching me. What do I say? ......Hey what's up? I did the full house security system. Later Denny had me enter the master security code. I have enterterd over 8 thousand security codes.

How well defined is a "squeeze"? Do all parties agree on the limits? Those guys clearly see "lane lines" that we don't. Do they all see the same lines?

First time agreeing with Denny! Especially on the Charters.. the teams needs to publicly state they will pick and choose which tracks, since they are only “contracted employers “ and can race anywhere when no contract gets signed. I would prefer All upper NASCAR management fired and new blood with new thinking come in… out with Jim, in with Ben!

hope Kyle Larson does a nice Danny Hamlin move for the win this week at Pocono because he deserves it. its funny to see him cry scared about Larson finally doing something against him.
I had to pause this great conversation to say this. I find it baffling Denny brings up "the problem" people have with him is moving Larson 3-4' up the track, like it was just one time. I don't think anyone cares. I think it's the time he's taken Larson out multiple times and always has a BS excuse to justify it. And when the 5 has the opportunity to do it back, he tries to pass him clean, sometimes settling for 2nd. And then, when Larson does push back and move Denny up the track, like a couple weeks ago, what was Dennys response? He starts banging on the 5 under yellow. He's the epitome of dishing it out and not being able to take it. He's being very hypocritical. Very bullyish attitude. He's explaining this how he races. I'm gonna do it my way and if you don't like it, so what, but by God, if it's done to me, you're wrong! Great interview and my opinion of DH has changed for the good but this part is the part that rubs me the wrong way. Just my opinion, or unless Denny is the only one who is allowed to have one. Back to the conversation.

A true rivalry develops and isn't announced. A true rivalry is intense and requires a level of dislike and disrespect that Denny and Kyle don't have. This "rivalry" is just something created to try and sell tickets. Its actually degrading the sport to me.
My question to Hamlin is how many championships has your actions garnered you?
The funny thing is that the charter was never meant to be there forever. Also you are replaceable. There are thousands of drivers and if the charters go and you can build your own cars there will be teams coming in. Denny should have never bought a CUP Team if he is worried.
Denny will never be as good of an all around driver as Kyle.

The irony. Not sure if it him, Lagono and or Bush but they all take the cake as some of the most hated NASCAR drivers to have existed. All in the same time frame no less. Why did NASCAR lose so many fans because teams indorsed crap individuals like this that have this self entitled ego. Wasnt till Larson Brisco and some the few other young guns that brought some dignity back the the sport. Dale would probably rolling over in his grave seeing these fluffers on track.
Dale Earnhardt Sr, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin can all be seen as heels in the NASCAR world.
