Question: I have an older low wing model ( eFlight Pulse 15e ) .....it has no flaps and has outer wing ailerons..it tends to come in fast but also floats a long way on landing ...would I want to set up flaps or spoilers or should I set up both , at a 50% rate on a 3 position switch and see what works best ?...thanks
Maybe you could help me..im using a AR9350 9 channel rx and a DX6E..the flaperons move in oposite directions no matter what i do in the program settings ive tried dual ailerons and flaperons and still apon activating flaps they will only move in opposite directions. Im stumped...if i can use a mix to change that im not sure how to program that correctly i dont want to over throw a servo on my new flite test freedom fox. I can get it to work with a admiral rx600 but not with any spektrum rxs. Ive got LA to channel 2 and RA to channel 6...set the tx to flaperon and stuck with this issue.
@@GreatLakesLogger ailerons are in ports 2 and 5..I can configure it all in the spektrum program software for these receivers its just strange that no matter what i can get normal deflections one up one down but upon activating flaps down they go in opposite directions. I ended up just using a admiral rx600 for this flite test freedom fox plane and its working just fine with this rx.
A good video but you failed to put in any elevator mix which is absolutely essentials when creating flaperons of spoilers. if you don't want your model to pitch nose up while deploying flaperons or spoilers, you need to mix in some down elevator.
I mean this In the least offensive way possible, I really do. Its pronounced Ail-er-on or Aile-ron.. not Air-lon. For several seconds I thought you said Air line and it threw me threw a loop. 😄 Thanks for making the video, helpful information! 👍
8 years later and this is still helpful your are the goat man😁👍🏾
Six years later, this is still helpful! Thank you. 😎
Glad it helped!
Your Video helped me allot with the set up of my Multiplex Fun Glider! Thank you! :-)
Brilliant! thank you :)
Although I have the DX6, this video was quite helpful. Luckily, Spektrum's interface is pretty universal.....Thank you for contributing.
Glad it was helpful. Yep, their interface is universal, but not always intuitive. :)

Good explanation, but please turn down or turn off the beeps.
Can you make the ailerons into Flaperons using an aircraft with 2 ailerons and 2 flaps?

Are you using a reversing y cable? You can also individually reverse the ailerons if you have it set up a dual ailerons

@@aaronstrom16 could it have to do with which side of the servo your servo arms are extended? Don't know I'm just shooting from the hip here
