I visited Varanasi recently with my aged mother and sister. I saw the bodies burning at the Ghat in broad day light and i felt nothing however at 04.00am in the morning sitting on a boat and watching the burning bodies changed the entire perception of my very existence. I felt calm and never realized that tears were rolling down my cheeks. Life is simple and we complicate it and death is the ultimate truth. No beginning and no end!
Even if we are frustrated with life, we must once visit Kashi. It just gives immense peace and fills us with this new, refreshing energy. I visited Kashi in April this year. Taking the boat ride in Ganga near the ghats felt so peaceful, it felt like staying there forever. Looking at the waves and the ghats gave me immense pleasure, the calmness can't be simply put in words. Sitting at the ghat at 4AM, the next morning, felt divine. It made me look at death with a different perspective. All I could feel there was peace, as if I was very close to lord Shiv, maa Parvati and maa Ganga. It felt as if I shared all my insecurities, doubts, fears, etc with bholenath and maa Ganga. 🙏🌼
the concept of death has always scared me maybe because I am just a teenager. But when I hear the story of varanasi it gives me clear goosebumps the concept of celebrating death brings so many questions my mind. This factor fascinates me alot. Ik I am still young and their is still alot to learn but these things surely make me wonder whats the purpose of my life?
The purpose of life is to clear this test before the final Day of Judgement. .. No one will go Scot free before being handed his account (good bad done on Earth) and accordingly will be given Heaven or Hell Aur haan koi gadha comment karne se pehle swayam apne girebaan me jhaank kar khud se puchhe ki kya hum achhe pyaare ghar aur aur bina pateshaani ka jeevan ki kalpana nahi karte!!!

My experience of Varanasi was When i first visited the gat in evening about 4:30pm for me it was bet scary for me.... After experiencing all the arti and death bodies were burning it was first experience to see all dis, it was scary & confusion for me. Being a Hare Krishna devotee, vaishnav, Goloka is the ultimate moksha for soul to attend under the divine supreme Shree Krishnas blessing, Hare Krishna
Bhai it's been said in Ramayan that Shiv and Ram are both one. A vaishnav who's vimukh from shiv won't be accepted by Ram or Krishna and a Shivbhakt vimukh from Ram or Krishna is not welcomed by Shivjiii. Why differentiate between them when you can do Bhajan of both.. Goloka and Shivsthanam both are real and ultimate moksh for soul.

Even now when i go ghats i feel the same.. i finally understood that it is because of the powerful funeral processes ! Thankyouu universe for letting me know about these !
Very interesting my life journey. I am Bengali brahmin , by profession doctor, landed in Varanasi in 1994 with my CRPF battalion and stayed at Paharia (near Sarnath) . During that time baba Viswanath mandir was guarded by our BN. I used to visit mandir in the late evening at least twice a week when the rush was less. Sometime I visited early morning puja ( 4AM) during that time we got highest privilege for darshan as whole area was under our administrative control. After many years I left CRPF and join NGO and again visited Varanasi ( I was inDelhi/ Lucknow then 2018 onward). in 2021 I took the help of CRPF and had excellent darshan. I wish to relocate to Varanasi and wish for last breadth there if Baba Biswanath want that . Har Har Mahadev
I visited Varanasi and Manikarnika Ghat a few years ago . One day during the nighttime at 9:00 pm I could feel strange vibrations and sounds all around the riverside even though some people were present there for funeral. 🙏🕉️

6:18 the statue of KAAL BHAIRAV is from KATHMANDU NEPAL located in the premise of HANUMAN DHOKA/KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE. as you can see there kaal bhairav is laughing. there is a story behind it as why is he laughing; Laykoo Bhaila , also presently known as Kaal Bhairav, is considered to be the fierceful manifestation of Shiva by Shaivas, Hindus and is considered as manifestation of Bodhisatwa in tantrik form , by Bajrayana Buddhism. The statue of Kalbhairav is believed to be from 5th century originally, and its said that it was found under the ground during the construction of canalways for water supply during regime of King Pratap Malla in 17th century. Kalbhairav is worshipped and prayed for protection from evil spirits and for the good health of a person. Sunday is considered to be the good day for visiting Kaal Bhairav. It is said that the person who used to lie in front of Kalbhairav, would instantly die there by puking bloods. One of the popular folkstory says that once there were a married couple where husband used to work whole day and the wife was housewife. One day, the husband doubted on her wife because she was very happy though their sexual relation was not fine. Then the husband asked if she had physical relation and affair with someone else. The wife got shocked and afraid hearing this because she actually was having physical relations with a lot of other people. They finally decided to go to Kalbhairav temple to decide the truth one day after. The very next day, wife went to her mother and insisted to feed her breast and having no option, her mother fed her breast milk. Finally they went to the Kalbhairav and there were a lot of other locals and administratives. The judge over there asked her if she had betrayed her husband. The wife replied cleverly, saying that she had not betrayed her husband since her mother has fed her breast milk. No one there knew that her mother fed her breast a just a day before, but Kaalbhairav knew this. So, hearing this, he started laughing and then he smiled. Since then the Kalbhairav loosed his power, because of a clever woman. Kaal Bhairav is believed to be the only Bhairav, who is smiling. Another folkstory says that the chariot of Karunamaya in Kathmandu is placed exactly opposite to the Kaal Bhairav, facing each other as Kaalbhairav gains the knowledge and calmness from Karunamaya. Karunamaya is also considered to be the master of Bodhisatwas. It is also said that, a lot of hand written manuscripts of Bajrayana Buddhism and Kulachar Tantra were burried on exact back of the statue of Kalbhairav, during the attack of Prithvi Narayan Shah , and during the rule of Junga Bahadur Rana. No any research and excavation has been done in this topic but still people consider the back of Kalbhairav as holy place and a lot of old people still refuse to step on the place as they believe the books and chantings are burried there. The shrine of Kaal Bhairav, served as high court of Nepal, once upon a time during Malla period but it was continued till Rana regime too. Its believed that one should fulfill the promises that he or she has done in front of Kaalbhairav. The shrine of Kaalbhairav is in the ancient palace area of then Malla kings, thus is natively called as Laaykoo Bhaila which literally means, the Bhairav of Palace area. In present day, Kalbhairav shrine has been protected and maintained as it lies in UNESCO world heritage site as well. People still visit this shrine with belief and faith that he will protect everyone from misfortune, evil spirits and obstacles that may come in life.
