- Duje Donadić is a gay man from Pag, Croatia, who's living and studying in Split. In this video he talks about the queer community in Croatia. He talks about the religion's impact on the queer community, about the disastrous Split Pride 2011, and about how wonderful and varied the queer scene is in Split today.

Wow I didn’t know anything about being queer in Croatia before, I didn’t know much about Croatia at all to be honest. I’m learning so much through this channel! And I think he talks so wonderfully about the importance of representation, role models and community!
Bravo Duje! As a 73 year old gay man who will be traveling to Split this October with my husband, I really look forward to visiting Split’s LGBT Centar (as well as Zagreb’s) to perhaps get a better sense of how the community has been evolving over time. Having been an activist since the Stonewall uprising , the opportunity to perhaps speak with Croatians about their LGBT history will be priceless! Cheers from San Francisco, California! The greatest Gay Community is in Dubrovnik...They are called "tulaši" there
Dubrovnik is the european "San Francisko"...It's well known worldwide
...but it's quite difficult for transgender to be accepted in this society...(..you had to go abroad to get help....)
No it is not like San Francisco, not even close.
