    Good morning JORDY,I am thirty years your senior and do not have the patience dealing with people I used to have, most of the time I just walk away. I know what you are saying, when I started doing crafts with wood pallets a business said I could have all their pallets I wanted, now I look at them in my yard and say wht the f"""k was I thinking I believe I have enough to build a barn. God bless, maybe the will shine tomorrow.

    Well I am so freaking jealous, about those big logs, man on man loves them. So yea the last 3 years have been really tough . You're 50 and still young, I too had many years dealing with anger but friends and family help. I will say picking up carving has helped And you sir is the guy I go to , to feel better at the end of the day. So you are helping me and most likely thousands out there with your videos. Look at what you have accomplished, helping Commons folks make good friends, making people feel good and enjoy small time watching you.
    Last I hope Larry on speedy recovery!!
    Take care, be safe, thank you for your time and videos !!

    An overhead hoist might be handy, Jordy. These are tough times, indeed! You still are an inspiration to me. I'm almost 70, the pain is near constant. You do such great carvings, I really love your work and sense of humor! God bless us all in these crazy days!

    Love the logs. Get a chainsaw mill and make some thick slabs. Make some benches with carvings on each end. Bar top with wood spirits on each end. Wish i could get logs that size.

    Hi Jordy, Rich down here in Texas.
    I must admit that I am very jealous of the wood you can get and all for free. Literally tons of wood at your fingertips almost in your own backyard. Where I'm at ,here I am forced to scrounge free wood from wherever I can get it. If I were up by you I would have a truck and trailer with a winch and be using that stuff for firewood as well as carving wood. You are blessed with the area your in. Carry on and.....
    Let the dust fly ✈

    I'll tell ya what you were thinking...free wood is the best wood !!! Just like your sign says Jordy, "Ride the Waves". Might be at the bottom of the wave now but they all turn upwards eventually & you'll be riding the top wave soon enough. Save your back & call some friends for help moving them logs

    Hey Jordy nice looking logs I am jealous. Just a suggestion to handle your big logs get 3 poles or 4x4 s and make a tripod princess auto sells chain hoists and those log thongs for a reasonable price. I belive that they also sell those heavy duty furniture movers with the big wheels on them use if modified I am sure they could move the logs around or get a heavier duty dolly cart just a suggestion and yes we are getting older so we have to work smarter. I am 66 and not ready to give up yet

    Those are some nice logs should make an awesome bench . Here's a quick story that will cheer you up . I am turning 58 this year and I've kind of been in the funk about it so anyway I decided to go and get my haircut this morning and while the little French girl was cutting my hair she says to me you're lucky you don't have too much gray hair for a man your age . Yup a man my age that's the last time I'm going there lol .

    I have done the same thing. And ended up using a come along to pull them up on a ramped trailer. Mine were mesquite, a very hard and heavy wood, not good for carving but great for benches and end tables. I had to have them milled into 2” 15:08 slabs so they can dry. Mesquite is so hard to carve. What was I thinking too? Good luck

    End Tables. Cut it into 2 foot long stumps. Peel the Bark. Sand it. Someone will pay 250 dollars an end table!

  • @robgurney4936
    @robgurney4936 Рік тому +1

    Oh Cool! Ya I used a small 4 foot peice of nice old growth cedar that had the perfect burl for shaping the head of an octopus and carved out his legs kinda wrapping around the log.. alot of material to be removed for sure! Used my flap sanding wheel that fit my angle grinder alot! Been thinking I might get one of those kutzall shaping disc's for the grinder would be handy for alot of the bulk removal and still quite a useful sculpting tool also. Do you use one? happy carving!!

    • @CarvingFusion
