Wow that is so epik :p
ur the last person to trust a sponsor from
Going on the internet to find cults can be dangerous: There are lots of dangerous and indoctrinated occult groups you can run into! The most common one is known as the normies, which can be found within minutes by opening up any social media platform: You can recognize them by the way mere words symbols or drawings make them scream and start attacking people at random, as they find the slightest joke or deviation from the norm an attack on their doctrine and society, which has rapidly expanded to encompass the vast majority of the population.
When I saw it was a Smithers O'Neil video I clicked as fast as I could.
Hello there sir
CyberKevin really carried the whole operation
I think CyberKevin27 is Paul Perkenstein
CyberKevin is the goat
CyberKevin is 100% why we survived Y2K

Impressive how all these internet tutorials still apply over 20 years later.
What do you mean? Is it not 1999 where you live?
Now at least people inform you whenever they're near your house, at least!

your right, its

Love the irony of a Y2K blog having a hit counter that caps off at 999999
Not really an irony thing. There was an issue with DHTML back in the day. 999,999 was the max for any counter until like 2005. Unless you used a CGI/Perl based counter.
These kids really don't know how it was back in the Wild West era of Web. @@backlogbuddies
Hahahaha I didn't even notice
@@backlogbuddies Yes very much an irony thing! Numbers wrapping and having fucky math problems was all the rage when talking about y2k. So I think it's relevant.
@@FriedNoodlee That's not what irony means.
"Not only does it help protect my identity, it allows me to create new ones"
That is the most threatening sponsor I have ever seen.
and it's so original!!! hahaha in a sea of nordvpn sponsored videos this one is... refreshing in a way.
The way Smithers optimistically reads replies out loud, then suddenly stops when they turn insulting, followed by his own deranged interpretive spin, is comedy gold.
It's not comedy gold. It's comedy diamond
His character is unhinged 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He's great, but I still miss paul perkenstein :(

i, too watched the video
This channel is the only one capable of making a NordVPN ad look good.
Oversimplified too.
Internet Historian either.
map men
it can get much better if nordvpn will allow it. some of TomSka's surfshark placements make this look like standard advertising
IH did very well too
Kevin was the true MVP, showing initiative and gumption. That's a fast way to earn a seat on the Council of Eldars in the coming apocalypse!
Yep, Kevin is a real go-getter.
Bloody space elves.
@@JeRefuseDeBienPrononcerBaleine Eld"a"r vs Eld"e"r was a simple decision. The former has more of an eldritch connotation.
It's not solely the product of GW, unlike the spelling "Ork."
More like Kevin would probably have the Council of Eldars under his thumb.
Kevin is the only Eldar I'd follow, he's a man with his head screwed on, a man of dedication and honour.
This man just created reddit.
I hate that you're right.
this man just created substack

it's actually a school bullying group made for no reason.
Not sure why, but this felt wholesome to me.
A community that works together so well.
"wholesome"🤦♂️
It was very wholesome tbf
As usual, perfection. But. "IM ONLY 22 HRS AWYA:" made me spit out my drink. 'only' 22 hours. CyberKevin is a real one.
CyberKevin's character is so ridiculously insane and schizophrenic that I can't help but laugh, from all of his typo ridden posts, to the extreme measures he takes to please his cult leader, so fucking hilarious.
Kevin is a huge inspo for my character creator soul
I didn't realise what that meant right away, nice subtle touch. CyberKevin could be on Jupiter, he'd still be "only 2 planets awya".
How he turns to his computer always is so funny...
Yeah, computer nerds often have stiff necks due to the polo skivvy. 😊
My favorite part actually. Makes me laugh evrrytime
This was what I was just thinking!
Because it's such a clash with the 90's aesthetic the sponsor integration was hilarious but a little uncanny, however the end card with the "buy now" was freaking amazing and put a smile on my face- been advertised to up front just like the good old days!
I know, I really miss it.
I love that he had to put a "Yes, this is a real paid sponsorship from NordVPN." disclaimer 😂
Everyone needs a fan like CyberKevin
I lost it at "HE RESPONDED MASTER" was too funny
I'm proud to witness the first moment SkyCorp jumps the shark! I'm SO glad to see SkyCorp is popular enough for corporate sponsorship!!
I ❤ U SkyCorp!
If you don't like the ad, maybe you just need some good Indian friends to talk to online.
How well does Nord VPN work with a 14.4K modem and Windows 3.1?
@@DeAthWaGer We have a WORD for those good friends, you know. Pedo.
lol thats not what jumps the shark means
@@AntonioProla No, and I did NOT mean to imply declining quality. I was solely referring to our very first corporate sponsor, "selling out," as it were.
I must say its pretty bold move for NordVPN, but the sponsor section does way better than any other NordVPN sponsors and it actually enjoyable to watch.
skycorp has done actual ads for companies before so that’s probably why
CyberKevins unhinged response to the mission solidified him as my new favourite
This was one of the funniest videos I've seen from SkyCorp yet. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much effort goes into every one of these videos? You, sir, are dedicated. Thank you.
As an irrelevant person that makes yt videos, mine also falls under the “chaotic style”.
But this channel is what I inspire to be honestly. Every character is absolutely insane and the script is brilliant
Fanboy much
@@lukemorgan6166yeah it’s a good channel.
Like it's so much work to convert old VHS tapes to digital.
The NordVPN ad alone seems like plenty of work
It was only a matter of time until Smithers decided it was time to delve into the darkest layers of the internet
Smithers invented the Dark Web!
@@paintedexpressionssogriffi1322 Actually, That was Paul Perkinstein
The way cyber Kevin writes all caps and with the perfect misspelling is so amazing. Gold
Cyberkevin is amazing, truly the most loyal servant to the cause.
7:25 Haha d00msday's "you're" correction is the perfect cherry on top. Lil details like this make these masterpieces.

Although I am already impervious to nuclear weapons due to Alex Jones' nutritional supplements, I still find the channel useful for survival.

Gotta be honest, just gained a whole new respect for nord vpn for letting you advertise like that truly beautiful.
The way he smiles so happily in the end always gets me.
I can always count on O'Neil to say the most sociopathic shit in such a cheery and happy way. I can't get enough of this lmao
I saw someone comment on the last video about HTTPS should be HTTP and he incorporated it in this video. Absolutely amazing attention to detail/feedback I love this series keep up the great work!
It's not like https didn't exist back then. But was really only used for e-commerce sites.
Runs to watch then rewatch this one 😂
@@nickfries4317 Well, that wasn't quite it: the main barrier was certificates was so insanely expensive back then. Heck, I can vividly remember plenty of cheap e-commerce sites that happily took credit card information with good ol' plain HTTP.
The sponsor ads genuinely fit so seamlessly. They don't ruin my immersion at all, which is genuinely impressive.
Kevin is a real one, he goes above and beyond
Ive always wanted an online fanbase of my own, then I can ask each of them for a little bit of money, and get myself a trophie wife!!!
Maybe you need some "Good friends"
You can get yourself NINE trophy wives!
You just described an streamer
When 300 "friends" made you internet famous guys would be like "you should ask them for money!" 😂
Mamamax moment
I found these instructional videos at the back rooms of my local library. Best day of my life.
Huh? You'll need to explain a little further, because these are not old videos from the 90s.
@@CadillacDriver Nothing exciting, just another time traveler
First time I didn't skip a NordVPN ad to not miss anything. Good job sir ❤
These tutorials have never failed to guide me through the wide world of web!
The humor is so dark... yet presented so bubbly 😂😂😂
Man these videos literally feel like time travel - aligning with my actual evocative memories of the time haha. I grew up in the 80s and started learning computers more in the 90s, exploring early JavaScript (wow it was full of DOM exploits back then). A lot of the same fundamental social engineering defenses still hold true today - don't trust, always verify.
CYBERKEVINs use of mistypes on the keyboard is hilarious lol.
I seriously rewatched the nordvpn ad and paid for 2 years with your discount. Thanks smithers
Had to watch immediately, I've been hooked on Smithers since the internet comment tutorial video. He's definitely worthy of being a reoccurring character on this channel!
I miss Paul Perkenstein.
@@justsomeitweeb me too, I also enjoy him and his happy, upbeat nerdy demeanor that goes 100% psycho in a second.
@@justsomeitweebI'd like to see more Kooky Krafts myself
Probably the best in-video ad I’ve ever seen. SkyCorp continues to innovate and lead the way!
A few channels do a good job with sponsored ads. Two that come to mind are Map Men (who create an entire skit for the ad), and Ryan George who is an Adstronaut telling you about the product from Adspace.
As a Y2K survivor, I can understand the passion within the community.
These videos are genius. They don't just remind me of 90s instructional videos, they have the FEEL...the TEXTURE of them. If I was a moron, I'd think these were legit videos from 1993. I was a teenager in the 90s, I remember them!❤
Look around the comment sections on his videos - some people DO think they were made back then.
People like CyberKevin make me want to start a cult.
cyberkevin is such a cool dude i wouldnt have been able to sacrifice an infant child if it werent for him
Just the best series on the internet. Funny, smart and useful.
Your ad was one of the few I haven’t skipped on youtube
As an actual ex-cult member, this had me on the floor laughing.
Im still trying to recover from ptsd from it, and ngl humor is honestly the best way. Thx again for the funny videos skycorp!
the Nord VPN add was an instant classic
seeing the stock corporate NordVPN art through the VHS filter sent me into conniptions. Excellent
Understanding fantasy roleplay is essential to content like this.
After three different titles and 4 different thumbnails, I think you finally arrived at the best one.
This has become my favourite video series of all time. Please keep making more of these❤❤
SkyCorp never fails to deliver high quality content, and isolate us from our close friends and family.
I don't know how much work you put into these videos, but it looks like a ton. Really good stuff. The look, the editing, the content. Dark, hilarious, and spot on
I'm in love with your videos and the 90s stuff
My daddy smithy is back!!!!
@@content_enjoyer4458 lets make a cult of our own......
This will forever be my evidence when arguing online that not all corporate sponsorship is evil.
YOOOOOOO ANOTHER W VID LES GOOOOOOOOOO

hands down the best NordVPN commercial i've ever seen XD
This channel is a goldmine of great content.
I'm a generation Xer and I've seen many tutorial tapes like this back then. You nailed it 100%. Everything used to be like this, even the music is on point.
Every cult leader needs a friend like CyberKevin
I'm going through a tough time this morning. Drank myself stupid, woke up in a living room chair, and the first thing I thought was "I bet SkyCorp is working hard on a new video". Praise Be.
MAN I WAS HOPING FOR OPTION C LMAO
As always the Wide World of Web continues to be peak.
Keep them coming man. I was an IT student in the early 2000s and shit they made us watch was just like this.
I've just realized you changed the screen ratio to more accurately represent 90 technology. Bravo sir. Bravo.
I created my own cult about 5 years ago but didnt get that much following. This tutorial will definetly improove my follower count, thanks SkyCorp
This is by far my favorite video of SkyCorp so far, freaking gold 🤣
You guys are one of the best channels out there!
Top tier entertainment, thank you for the time and effort you put in your videos!
I love that the channel is finally growing! Keep up the good work
What a heartwarming family. I always liked stories with happy endings. I'm just glad everything ended well.
New skycorp home video to help me with various life paths. Thank you
Only the most quality guides over here! Amazing job!! XD
Finnally a worthy tutorial
I was waiting so long
Y2K was one of those paradoxes where you work really really hard to prevent catastrophic consequences of some phenomenon and you do it so successfully, that people then use the absence of catastrophic consequence as proof that it was all a hype. There are many instances of this paradox. For example when you deal so well with your handicap, that people think you are faking when you say you are/were handicapped.
Survivor bias. Most people alive have done nothing to _stay_ alive, other than shoving grocery-store products into their mouths and attending some low-effort job.
Since, on average, there is absolutely zero familiarity with urgency, why should it surprising that nobody takes global warming seriously?
Love skycorps educational tutorials!
Hey Greetings from Germany! This is damn good! I haven't laughed so well in a long time. Your 90s acting style is perfect and perfectly rounded off by the VHS feeling. By the way, brilliant idea to solve the hurdle with a real VHS device. It's very time-consuming, but the work you do is worth it. Keep it up! Me and a few of my friends are looking forward to more content from you!
Can we expect more episodes with the Self Aware PC?
unjerk, this is the best social commentary ever. keep delivering SkyCorp creative team.

the original name of this is “how to start a cult onlie” and how i know is i was there when i saw the original title
Dude, Smithers O'Neil is hilarious!!! And the 90s internet retro style of his videos is spot-on!
Bro we need more of this, keep up the good work!
Finally a tutorial that teaches something that I actually want to do!
The gay frog thing was is actually true.
It sure was, but the truth is mocked in current day. 😢
YESSS Another Smithers Oneal Video!!! Honestly you could just make the entire channel nothing but Smithers O'Neil tutorials going forward and it would blow the F up!!

Your work is spectacular man. Thanks for all the entertainment.
Oh fuck yeah I live for these tutorials.
Biggest complaint I ever had about skycorp was there just wasn't enough of it. Gimme the longer vids!
