Dude no way I used to own a Raptor 660 and I had the same CNC blue levers and the same Tusk front bumper! You sooooo have to get the ALBA racing full nerf bars, I had a set on mine they were about $220 and some change but so freaking worth it, that was the single best upgrade I ever got for mine, the original foot pegs ain't got nothing on the ALBA ones, great video man!
Don't need any lock tight on clutch springs the spring its what holds tension on the bolt making it so it cant come out, also lock tight only works if there's no trace of oil and bolts that live in oil need oil when torquing down because if there put in dry once they pick up oil it can make them loose so in the future all you need to do is make sure the the bolts have a little film of oil and torque to spec and they will never fall out. I've never ever had an issue

I ditched the goofy headlights and got some led pod lights from tractor supply and made custom brackets for them and wired them into the factory harness with the factory plugs. Holy sheep shit they are bright and better than stock. I also fabricated my own bumper cuz I didn't like the aftermarket styling and prices lol. That thing is coming along well my friend.

Hey you should of gone in details with the tuning of the carb. Specially on the raptor 660 dual carb. I'm having issue with mine after I but in a new big bang evo 2 exhaust and stage 2 dynojet carb .
You should try and get your hands on a set of carb yfz 450 shocks for the front it will lower the front some and stiffen it up so it doesn’t feel as tippy when playing around

This may not be what your video is about, but there are only a few of you doing anything with Yamaha Raptors. I have been looking for one piece of info for a very long time - that's it. Do you know what the dimensions are for the main frame tubing - the outside (diameter) appears to measure 1.125 (1 1/8). I can not measure the thickness (gauge) of that tube. Does anybody know what the thickness or gauge is on the main frame? Can be Raptor 660 or 700. Thanks
I just did a sick build on one it's on my channel but I got the bigger alum oil tank an it gets pretty damn hot from the exhaust. Any ideas other then a wrap in the pipes that can stop the heat at all ?
Jet the pilot up, thats normally what causes a lean idle. Mine gets a little hott too but the coolant temp never gets over 170-180 which is fantastic for these. Running about a 35 pilot jet 👊 (also oil does help cool a tiny bit but not much. Focus more on radiator/coolant temp then oil, the oil tank is more for the "dry sump system" of the engine).

Why wouldnt you? Steel is an extremely porous metal and absorbs liquids 👊 its going to be drenched in the cases regardless but rather any immediate clutch wear on first ride my preference was to be ahead of the game brother 🤙

if you plan on hill climbing it and using the clutch a good bit on hills i wouldn’t run a tusk clutch . Had a entire fiber burn out on me
