  • If you've got a Project 321 rear hub that needs servicing, you're going to want to replace the seal between the driver and drive ring. I can't think of anyone better to show us how than the man who designed the hub himself. Jake from Project 321 shows me exactly how to replace the seal and some good tricks to make the job easier.

    Nice video. Why do you install the energizer from the flange side? Is this the same process for the Gen 1 hubs?

      I think it’s just easier to have the spring slip right into the seal from that side instead of having it want to compress the seal from the “top”. At least that’s my assumption. I’d check with Jake on gen1, because those might have the groove in the driver instead of the o-ring.

    That white ring is impossible to get onto the o ring 🤔

      I’ve seen it done, but yeah, tricky for sure.
