Thank you for this video but I noticed that after collecting the data from the form I cannot do any calculations with these data automatically. Is there a way around this problem ?
Hey Kevin! I want people to fill few columns from the form. While I also have other columns in the same table that I don't want to include in the form. How can I achieve this?
Thank you for these videos! I was able to get a job without having to shell out money for courses. Now to pay it forward, I offer free videos on DIY items!!!
Thanks Kevin, one small tipp to add: I always start putting the Excel file in a subfolder Questionaires. Otherwise you have book1 book2 etc in your root directory. If you later move the Excel sheet to another directory, the online form is always connected to this Excel file.
Muchas Gracias, Kevin! You are an excellent instructor. You enunciate every word clearly, you also deliver your speech succinctly with a perfect speaking rate, yet it is so informative for learners to follow your teaching with ease. Thank you very much for your effects and for sharing your knowledge.
Kevin! You changed my life! I do have a few follow up questions and hopefully someone on this feed can help: 1. Can I connect multiple forms to one data table? 2. For the customer query (submitted through the form), is there an easy way to create a "ticket" to share with a person to process?
I've used this feature several times since I watched an earlier video of yours. It's extremely useful and very versatile. This video is an excellent refresher and clarified a couple points for me. Great stuff!
Wow...this opened a whole new world to me, so easy to do (of course thanks to your explanation) and it works....where you have been all my life....lol....so really Im your new suscriber from today from Chile
This is great to know! I’ve used Google Forms before, but as an Excel user this looks more robust. I’ll definitely be checking this out for work projects. I wish this was also available for personal use. Thanks for yet another great video!
Thank you very much, FROFESSOR! After watching your video, I designed similar forms. Now we are using it in the office and my staff appreciate those forms very much, because they can now organize their tasks easily. We are also beginning to design our VIRTUAL OFFICE so that we could have a platform - where I can monitor their tasks even if am not around our Physical Office. Thank you very much, PROFESSOR! Merry Christmas!
Thanks Kevin! Very thorough and was able to create a customer questionnaire by following your video. It was very straight forward and easy. This is going to save me and my team a ton of time. Plus, it will help us better actually use the data!!
When Kevin says "Hi Everyone Kevin Here" you know what? I start to feel the vibes the goosebumps the excitement that I'm going to learn something awesome from nothing but a LEGEND! And you prove it every single time! Kevin's thumbnails, videos, jokes, representation and everything is just full of tick marks with 100% on it! The small Element near you in this thumbnail which has a couple of tick marks, you know what? It's you! It's just you! Your excelled in excel than anyone I've seen! Enjoyed watching it!
Great video Kevin, but what if someone wants to order more than 1 type of cookie? I tried to set up a similar form as a purchase requisition form for my company, but got stuck when trying to allow for an unknown number of items to be requested. Each item will have the same base data (requester, approver, department, etc), but of course different description, part no, quantity etc. Any ideas on how this could be accomplished with MS Forms?
Have enjoyed your videos for some time. We're migrating Excel tables into SharePoint. Do you have a video on building custom forms in SharePoint as opposed to the standard forms?
Wow.. I am about to run a survey and you made my day.. Just a quick question. Those who fill out the form do they also need to have the paid office version?
Thanks for the video, a quick question - when information is submitted through the form, where is the information stored? My question is - is the information saved on MS servers or directly to the server used to create the form?
Kevin, thanks for this helpful video. Do you have a video on editing the links between the form question & the table in excel? My data is showing in the wrong column in the table.
Kevin, we need more videos on Power Automate and Power apps. Also, could you please make a video on the expressions used in the email to excel video? Thank you.
OMG, I loved it, I've already spent the entire day trying to figure out something like this to make it simple for my estimators to upload their projects. How can this be extended to a list of components for a roofing system? The columns are always the same ID, Cost Code, Title, Unit Price and Unit Type but each rood has several lines, one for the membrane, one for the Cover Board, one For the Insulation, one for Fasteners and so on. I don't see how to use this but instead a Fully Automated Data Entry and the coding is driving me crazy.
Hi Kevin, I'm using my personal Office 365 to create the Form. How do I edit or remove the initial form text that says, "Hi, Arnel. When you submit this form, the owner will see your name and email address." Thanks for your excellent method of teaching.
Great video. Can someone answer this? I want to do this many times over without having to recreate the form. Multiple Excel workbooks all with the same form to be filled by different users. Is this possible? when I copy an Excel with a Form, the new copied workbook doesn't know it has a form
Kevin, you are a god! You have NO idea how much time and effort this will save me on certain tasks that I have to do at work. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Kevin - I love the videos, they are always a big help. Is there a way to embed the Form into an Outlook email so that people can submit their answers directly from the email?
Thanks for the video! I need to create a workflow. How can I reference the row in another form and send it to another department? For example, in your video the cookie order would go to say the kitchen so they know to start cooking and then another e-mail would go to packaging once cookies are ready. Let me know if this is a workflow you have created. Thanks!
Enjoy your videos. Have learned quite a bit. One question tho. I have created a spreadsheet to keep track of my part usages and orders. I enter the part number in 1 column then using VLOOKUP, get the description of that part number to populate its description into the next column. Can the VLOOKUP function be used in this data entry procedure?
You can setup the form to accept files to SharePoint folder. On the excel spreadsheet, there will be link to the uploaded files to the SharePoint folder.
Great video. Is there a way to search the orders from the spreadsheet and update the a field (like the number of cookies ordered?) Like to do it with a form rather than directly on the spreadsheet? Thx.
Hi Kevin. This is the first time I have been to your site and you explained one part of what I needed so well, I decided to write and ask you about the other part. I am part of a team and we have a request form for our colleagues to use when they need assistance. When a request comes in, our team receives an alert and we all go in to see on the excel side and someone completes the rest of the spreadsheet with who is going to assist with the work and the status of the work until completion. Recently, someone on our team went in and added the requests directly onto the spreadsheet on behalf of the requester. This caused some errors like the number of the request that is automatically populated and the status section which has conditional formatting in it. In addition, now when a requester adds something to the form at times it does not show up in the excel spreadsheet. I was wondering if there is a way to correct these issues? I thank you for any assistance you can give!
Good video, but not quite what I need. I am creating an Excel spreadsheet to record all my crypto activity, I had hoped that "forms" would be the entry solution as I require the abiliity to add new Crypto to the list of cryptos I have. So, I want to have a simple form that will be called whenever I need to add a crypto, so, what EXCEL function will be able to achieve this? Also, each crypto Token will have to record a set of specific data, so, is the solution to create a Base Table template, then use that to record the data, but, that new table data will need to be included with the other Token data already garnered.
Hi Kevin, I hope you are well. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have managed to create the form, but when filling it up the information doesn't show on ms excel. what could be the challenge here?
What’s the alternative step to take as I’m subscribed to a monthly 365 Family? Truly keen to have access to create Data Entry Form. Nb: am using a MacOs
Ok quick question. In the example you gave, would someone be able to order different quantities of multiple cookie types? Or would that have to be done through a second form submission? Is there a dynamic workaround?

Thank you for this video but I noticed that after collecting the data from the form I cannot do any calculations with these data automatically. Is there a way around this problem ?
Hey Kevin!
I want people to fill few columns from the form. While I also have other columns in the same table that I don't want to include in the form. How can I achieve this?
Hello Kevin. I have to fill data on a website which is asking for it to be filled in electronic form. Do you know the deal?
Thank you for these videos! I was able to get a job without having to shell out money for courses. Now to pay it forward, I offer free videos on DIY items!!!
Thanks Kevin, one small tipp to add: I always start putting the Excel file in a subfolder Questionaires. Otherwise you have book1 book2 etc in your root directory. If you later move the Excel sheet to another directory, the online form is always connected to this Excel file.
Can you put this on sharepoint and then not have versions?

Kevin you are a genius
Mind blown at the simplicity 🤯

Sir thanks very much it has enhanced my knowledge in using Microsoft Excel which I have seen progress.
just completed a simple task for my organization using excel forms .. thx!
Sounds good but what if a person uses a form and fills in the information incorrectly? Is there a way for them to edit it?
Kevin, when you have a form can the user update there information, for example update a training record?
I would like to know this too, I assume you somehow can. Seriously limiting if not!
Thanks Kevin for another amazing piece of work
I really like the introduction of Kevin Hi everyone, Kevin here Today.. (2)
Thanks for this knowledge kavin ,🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks Kevin! Can you do a video on creating a form linked to an existing spreadsheet so that admin staff can suggest changes that need to be made?
great video, kevin! i would like to see the form integrated as an excel tab. not sure if that is possible.
Wow.. I am about to run a survey and you made my day.. Just a quick question. Those who fill out the form do they also need to have the paid office version?
Hi Kevin it was so good ,but do it work in of line or with out internet access
Thanks for the video, a quick question - when information is submitted through the form, where is the information stored? My question is - is the information saved on MS servers or directly to the server used to create the form?

Yes, thanks build a basic form. Can a field be pulled from a list in excel? Instead of me typing in all the possible entries?
Kevin, you are a god! You have NO idea how much time and effort this will save me on certain tasks that I have to do at work. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Best of luck!
Useful video!!! Is it posslible trasform an Userform in a Form? I mean use a userform with the same approach of a web site like userform?
Nice. I need to add to an existing Excel that was created in share point on line. Also, what if you need to upload documents?
You can setup the form to accept files to SharePoint folder. On the excel spreadsheet, there will be link to the uploaded files to the SharePoint folder.
@@dputra would/could the documents then be tied in anyway to the ID of the form respondent?
@@wrmarley the links to the uploaded files are in the same row as the form response, just like other columns
Great video. Is there a way to search the orders from the spreadsheet and update the a field (like the number of cookies ordered?) Like to do it with a form rather than directly on the spreadsheet? Thx.

What’s the alternative step to take as I’m subscribed to a monthly 365 Family? Truly keen to have access to create Data Entry Form.

Is it possible to use multiple dependent dropdown list in this form?
Ok quick question.

What is the difference compared to Google form?
